We are in a bear but still there's  a lot of reason why you should stay, and I listed some of those good things to stay calm and why you need to trust this market again.

1. Cryptocurrency can bounce back high in this current dump because of its own technology. the potential growth of this market is still 101%.

2. Bear market is normal, and if you look at any market after the dump there will always a rebound, where its possible to make a new all time high.

3. Now why some countries make bitcoin legal? Why some big personality invest in some project? Well, its simply because they saw a great potential for this cryptomarket, and you should too.

This may not help you to stay calm and stop panicking but try to imagine the market five years from now. Any thoughts why people should stay in this market?

really, for three reasons that make a lot of people survive. I think those who complain and stop their interest in the world of cryptpcurrency will feel the loss and regret next year. indeed this bearish trend is very long, but if we are smart, we can take advantage of the circumstances that occur now and make it an advantage for the future.

There is no reason to ever leave or take a break. If people do end up leaving then they simply shouldn't have invested in this market to begin with.

People getting annoyed are solely here for the profits, while the rest is just using Bitcoin as they have always been doing. Spending Bitcoin for example isn't more expensive now the price has gone down, since you can just use the same price to buy your coins back with fiat. People make it unnecessarily difficult for themselves.

People should understand that there is a difference between the market that's fluctuating and Bitcoin itself. The market might look bad, but Bitcoin itself is still growing. Even the difficulty didn't flinch. :)

Again, the less you expect from the short term market, the less disappointment you have to endure. Expectations should be 0 (zero) right now.

We all know investing in cryptos can't be a guaranteed that we always get good amount of profits because it will not always goes up. If there is just no emergency to forced us to used our funds then it will no problem. Btc price will definite go high as the years gone by and this is why we should make an investment in longer-term. Commonly, the reason why we should stay is because we don't want to lose our profit.

I've been using bitcoin for a long time and feel for myself how the price goes down and how the price goes up so under any circumstances I'll still be a bitcoin user even though the price drops because I already have a pretty big asset if I stop I get big enough losses.

There will be certainly no guarantee when will btc pumps appreciatively ones again. But it does not mean that it won't happen. No one knows what day, month or even year. What's certain is it will climb up once again. Look closely on its trend in the past. There will be some sort of cycle on it; it will continuously on pump and dump state.

Most of bear market is behind us. I mean most of price decrease. Time could  double but price wise it cant. Bitcoin just cant lose 4 times value anymore.   So leaving Bitcoin now would be quite dumb.   I will actually after long time start suggesting to people to start considering buying Bitcoins.

it depends if you are talking about bitcoin or just any bear market in general or the altcoins. there is a lot of difference between each of them
1. bitcoin has a lot of unfulfilled potential which means even if you hold it and lose money now it will bounce back up and you will make it all back. whether you hold it or sell to buy back at the bottom depends on you and the risks you want to take and whether you want to go on exchanges or not.
2. other markets are so-so sometimes you should hang around and try to make profit, sometimes you should get out,....
3. altcoins are a completely different beast. sticking around in their bear market can literary mean losing all your money. many of them won't outlive this trend and won't exist after it. and most of them won't go back to their ATHs ever again and none of them have any good future.

I will stay, but I have to say to you: this could be prevented.

If the market was inside a blockchain, it could have its lows encoded on it, and the lowest price would be the mining cost.

The mining cost is currently 15k. This is the cost to mine one bitcoin in one year. Just imagine a "bear market" in such conditions, it would protect the small miners, allowing decentralization of mining. And people would play more safe, allowing for more adoption.

The way it is now, its like a wild west. And regulation from the State will only turn it worse, since the State is aligned to the financial institutions that created this situation. Bitcoin will fail as a currency, as no merchant will accept something that can fall to 90% of its value in just six months. The only way to solve this, is through code, and with a parallel market, unrelated to the current model of centralized exchanges.

Lack of patience and misconception is pushing people to take the wrong decisions. If they wonder if they should sell or wait mean the industry is not for them. And the ones who stay in are showing how they are confident in the future. Don't forget the same situation happened before but just at a different level, other than that there is no difference.

People should stay in the cryptocurrency market, but they'll have to shift their funds from Bitcoin to other cryptos.

Bitcoin is very simply put not viable as a globally accepted currency. It isn't now and, hopefully, it never will be.
There are many cryptocurrencies more secure and with cheaper/faster transactions than Bitcoin, which I hope will prevail. Bitcoin had its reign, but it's time to end it.

So I believe we should keep supporting the crypto-market, but not Bitcoin.

you're never gonna stop newbies from selling the bottom. we've all done it. the get-rich-quickers get shaken outta the market and leave until the next bubble, and strong hands start accumulating the dumps. then the bull cycle eventually continues. rinse, repeat.

i don't particularly care if people sell their coins when the bags get too heavy (can't take the pain). that's just markets being markets, no way around it. someone's gotta sell the bottom! it may as well be some of you guys. lol.

I’m not here for quick profits although I really did enjoy spending free BCH, that was a lot of money for nothing. I had a holiday to Vegas, I went to the Champions League Final in Kiev & I’m going to Turkey later this year to get a full set of sparkling white veneer’s & ended up with an extra handful of bitcoin’s converted from BCH.

But yeah HODL your bitcoin’s until after the next halving, you’ll be greatly rewarded.

Yes no guarantee is there but as bitcoin price is already too much low, therefore there is no use to sell bitcoin and conform the lost, i think that we should only wait and not to sell bitcoin in hope that a time will come when bitcoin price will rise again and hopefully bitcoin price will once again start increasing and bitcoin price will be trading again above 20k.

We cannot force them to stay or hold on their holdings and yeah patience really kills the opportunity for them since the market is dump and yet instead of buying their are panicking. Reasons to stay is the reason why you are here, don't rush yourself making money, just enjoy this market situation and you might have a profitable future.

It's seems absurd to me how many people are panicking within this bear market, and saying that it's the death of bitcoin (how many times have we heard that, as a community?) etc. There is simply no reason for doing that.

This bear market is a natural phase of the market cycle within BTC, and prices are expected to adjust. Prices are expected to dip a lot before it finally finds a bottom and recovers. That's literally how a bear market goes.

Even though I think that there is still some time before we finally start recovering, we are already very close to the price floor atm. And with all the institutional investors starting to come in despite the bear market, I think it's a good strategy to at least accumulate BTC with some of your spare funds, if not starting to accumulate at full scale if possible since prices are extremely low atm.

Yes no one can be so much sure about bitcoin price, even any other crypto currency. We are only expecting that bitcoin price is hopefully increase too much in next few days, and once again we will see the bitcoin price trading in its highest price. I think most of the people are only holding their bitcoin in hope that once again bitcoin price will rise to 20000$.

I have a strong reason why I'm still here even the market is dumping simply because I believe in the future of cryptocurrency. I see people how they react in this kind of situation, some already sold their bitcoin because they are scared about the future of btc, but of course we must stay calm and remain positive even the market is negative.

Bear market is only an issue to those who bought during the market high's but most of the people here which I'm quite sure that we bought and had bitcoin when it was around $1,000 - $4,000.

Compare to the stocks market, crypto market is better than that. You have to need big money there and wait for loooooong years before you see great profit but crypto is totally different and the best.

There is still a lot of leg room to work on. Remember that we reached $19K, so there's a lot of potential for the market to grow, we just need to be a little patience and not blow our heads off and snap and sell our bitcoin today. It doesn't make sense.

I agree. If you think that there are nations who are against crypto, there's a lot of friendlies out there because they saw potential on it on economic and individual level that's why they are giving it a chance and not hastily decided to go against it.

What you've said is a double-edged sword.Certainly,opportunites on crypto market are way better than stock market however this includes that the crypto market is really dangerous in terms of volatility and can lead you to a big loss instead of profit.On stock market it's kinda balanced,either small profis or small losses.

Of course the market will goes back again but not that quite fast than when it is on the bullish trend. If you are in this situation already, then you already knew what you are going to do and that's exactly what you are telling them.

To keep calm and be patient because everything will be gonna be alright, because at the moment it is just a part of the market but that volatility of the market was so hard to predict even if it was almost near you.

Bitcoin previous performance gives us hope to stay in the market.Bitcoin has been in existence in the market for the past eight years and it's not an easy task for a decentralised coin to stay successfully for such a long time.By this way,bitcoin has gained the trust of majority of people.

Well, that is the reasons why poeple invest in bitcoin. People invest in bitcoin because they believe in the potential profits of bitcoin. No matter how low it dumps for sure the market will bounce back to a much higher value. That's how the market play, when the price is dump that doesn't mean it will dump forever. As long as many people invest in the cryptocurrency the market will continue go up and down but not totally down. Believing in this unpredictable market is why people continue to stay.

I believe bitcoin would go back up again because it is just the nature of the market cycle. We experience a meteoric rise last year and it is not that expected that it will go that high so it is not an organic growth wherein there is regular taking of profits that's why its drop is this dip as well. Every time the price drops more, its a pain for the holders and maybe some cannot just take it anymore. If you have more funds then you are lucky because you can average down. Those who are patient will eventually be able to reap the fruits of being able to wait until such time we are in profits again.

Generally,the reason why people stay even in this bear market is they believe the power of cryptocurrency, eventhough the market falls but investors knew the ability of crypto to bounce back,we must bear in our minds that market is cyclical ,if you know how to play with it then you will stay in crypto forever.

I expect this bear market continue for bitcoin until the dumps in the altcoin market is over and the money exits completely from them so that each of them crashes down to its real value which is currently at least another 75% drop for the big coins among the top 10, and another about 30% for the rest of them.

by that time we can see a more stable bitcoin price without these shitcoins pulling it down and we can finally see the rise start to happen while top altcoins are abandoned for at least 6 months to a year before they are pumped.

Most of the people who are actually finding it very hard to stay in the market presently is simply because they got the wrong mentality from the beginning thinking this is a get rich quick scheme kind of market and they are simply just going to get rich overnight when the likes of McAfee was ready to eat his *whatever* in public if bitcoin does not get to $1m before 2020.

It has turned to more of a speculative asset with people not even getting to know the value the market brings and with that, they will keep making the wrong decisions every single time, which is one of the reasons they are not even taking advantage of this dips, but whining instead about their losses, as if bear market is only applicable to the cryptocurrency market.

My main reason why I am still here in spite of the  long bear month and bear market is that I believe that Bitcoin will eventually rise up again.  I believe in the saying " When you hit bottom, there is no other way but up",  I stand by this.  I will wait down until it rises again, Bitcoin is here and it will stay.

To point number one 1 I would like to do some slightly correction. Instead speaking of crypto currencies you should replace two words with just one word, Bitcoin!
Many altcoins will not survive if we keep staying in this bear market and ranging on a low level for another 6 months. And maybe that's the plan by some big players. To wash out all out the crap in the space. If Bitcoin decide's to make a deep deep and long dive, like 2014/2015, I can assure you many coins you see on cmc today won't be there anymore at the end of the year.

You're right that those kind of bear market are normal for Bitcoin. What goes up that crazy, also needs drastic corrections. We've seen this plenty of times now.

And in general you can say that Bitcoin's fundamentals are looking really great. For instance more and more miners are entering the space, which will reduce centralization in that field.

when the low price is likely to have the potential to create a high price, and vice versa. when the low price is a good opportunity to buy then sell it when the price goes up.

If there is anyone not absolutely staying calm in this bear trend, it is simply because they have gotten the wrong picture of the market right from the onset and rather than see the potential in the future, they are so much concentrated on the short term growth while expecting bitcoin to just keep moving up and up nonstop. Like you said, bear market is normal and this is something that happens in every market and only a fool will be selling at loss a market that has huge potential for the future instead of buying at the dips to compensate the loss.

I think people should stay in this market because the market is trusted. Bitcoin and other coins are trusted already that we can put our money into them and hold for long term. This is only a massive correction of what happened last year.

The ones who are panicking right now are those newbies who are dumb enough to panic sell even they are at a loss.

It's because every time I see some threads about the current fall, most of the posters are newbies or are they really newbie? Also some are just spreading FUD and want to share their fear to others. Crypto is a high risk market and you have to change your mindset if you ever came in. You have to forget the traditional fundamentals that are being shown with the normal markets like stocks but due to its risky behavior, if you have patience with a combined good timing, it will make you wealthy.

Bear market is part of the trading ecosystem. It should happened to spoiled the trend and destroy the fake pump. Without it, no cheap coins will be sold to us. Without it, we will never know how strong the support is for a specific coin. Without it, we will be forced to buy at higher prices.

How come people will leave just because of this market phenomena? No way we can experienced a continous uptrend therefore same goes for a downtrend. Just move forward and play with the game. No room for weak heart in crpyto.

yes we should try to stay calm because we already know about the risk of crypto market. up and down are always happen in crypto market and in every the price go down, the price will increase again. we just need the time and patience because we know that crypto still have a bright future.

I don't really see a reason to not stay in the market, right now.

If you are selling now (especially if your entrance point was high, like near the ATH level high), then you're essentially incurring unnecessary losses. You're not even going to get that much back in return, considering that the price now is only 30% of what the peak price of BTC is.

I would not only stay with my existing long term positions on bitcoin, but also accumulate some cheap coins if my finances allow for it. People are currently irrationally bearish, which is a good indication of when to buy. The next bull market will probably come some time after the next halving. These bear and bull markets are only a part of the price cycle as I've said, and there is absolutely no reason to panic. History has repeated itself many times (look at the bull/bear cycles before 2017).

The same way they are feeling regret right now buying at the peak, is the same way they will feel regret later not buying at the dips. It is funny that some people keep doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results, which in the real sense, things do not happen that way.

Any smart person will surely be buying the dips now and worry less, while knowing the potential for the future is huge and bright and therefore focus more on that.

That's exactly what's keeping me here. I've made a lot of readings and watched a lot about bitcoin, blockchain and cryptocurrencies in the past to know that it's real value and use won't be until a couple if years from now. And that's what i've invested in, not for any promise of quick money

The reason why we bear this market up until now because we all have in common wether it's money or knowledge, the knowledge that could earn us money lol. The excitement about this upcoming near year end is starting to come up in this forum it will began to spread after some time so bear with us just a little bit longer.

You're right. It's just a cycle. Big correction after a massive bull run, 100% normal.

Another reason why you should stay now is that we almost get to the bottom. If you have made it this far, there's no reason to panic. You will regret it if you quit and sell all your Bitcoin now. If you have some spare money left, start buying now. Ladder your buy all the way to the bottom to get a good average price. If the price makes you anxious all the time, maybe you should forget about it for a while. Don't check the price. Live your life normally, come back here in 2-3 years and you'll be thankful.

yep I agree that the cryptocurrency will bounce back no need to quit in crypto because of this bear market, just be patient and think positive soon the market will recover and you should buy this cheap price right now.

Those are very good reasons to stay in the market, but many of those that got out probably already knew that and yet they simply could not wait and decided to get out of the market and lose money, it is weird how it is possible people take decisions they know will be counterproductive? But I see this all the time so it does not surprises me at all.

Before investing a huge amount you should be expecting this scenarios where market will have a drastic changes in terms of prices so you can bear looking at your coins that was currently decreasing right now and hope for the price to pump up again.

Exactly your expectation is true because everyone expectation is profit so no one is sell this time. But some peoples are buying more Crypto this dip. It is also best way to earn more profit in future. Majority of the peoples are afraid in this bear market but few are still this believe the Crypto so I hope Many of them stay in forever.

Everyone should think like this and not those panicking. Look at the market now, after hitting the top its slowly dumping again but it doesn't mean it will not grow anymore. I agree with your post. In crypto market it is pretty normal for a market to take a blow upside down, it gives an opportunities to take a partake while the market is down by buying a crypto assets for a cheap price and that's what smart people intends to do. Only weak hands cannot agree with this because they just dumped without thinking that a market will always bounce back from a downfall whatever happens.

While there are many reasons one of the most influential and that can convince most people in my opinion is this, you should stay in this bear market because if you do not then you will lose money, while at the beginning of the life of bitcoin most early adopters were interested in the technology, most investors that came later are interested in the technology but also have a great interest to make money, and if you leave now most new investors will have to sell for a lower price, but if you just wait you will get your money back and more when the market recovers.

Being a noob isn't easy. First they buy the peak and then they are being told to buy the dip, which they might have done, but it's still way on the higher side. Most noobs right now have nothing but their coins and hope left.

If you're already invested in the market, you don't have much choices. You either stay or you lose your God damn money. Their are various reasons to stay in this bear market but the main reason is that  if you will not stay in this market you will loose a major profit.We should wait for the bull market.In coming months the value will surely increase so we should hold our coins in wallet and wait for the best time to come.Selling your coins at low rate is not a wise decision.We don't need to panic and just stay calm .

Very normal, and not just in crypto market as this can and has happened severally in FOREX, stocks name them. The only thing here is just the volatility rate and some form of manipulations, but with a new market, we have evolved over the years to have a more matured market than we used to and as we keep moving forward, it would still keep getting even more matured.

It's better to hold bear market.Now a days,he price of bitcoin is unpredictable one.You have to be calm at this situations ,instead of getting panic.Most of the traders will sell their holding bitcoin at low price in panic.If you hold your bitcoin at this situation, you can sell that bitcoin at high price.

You can always wait for the market price to grow and just stay calm in order to avoid losing your coins, that is the reason there are successful traders in the market.

The main difference is that the successful traders have enough patience to wait for the market to recover because they have enough funds aside to sustain themselves in their private lives. Most people here tend to invest more than they should, or some times even go all in, which is almost a guaranteed way to panic sell on the way down. Yeah we all know that bitcoin price is so volatile that anything could happen in the coming days. Today the market is not good but we should be patient and cool. Forget about the current situation for some time. When the price grows more then you can take decision about your holding but till that time don’t be panic and hold your coins a little more.

In my opinion the reason to stay in this bearish market is that the price is very low for selling and if you have some coins and you sell them to day you will definitely loses your money. It is far better to stay for some time because the price is growing day by day and in the near future you can make good profit from your coins. I really like these reasons, I still see the big potential of bitcoin that waited to be unrevealed, for now people still hesitate to invest because the market still very volatile and the news tgat exchanges keep on being hacked, if more government ready to accept bitcoin, it will be very easy for bitcoin to rise, but I am sure in the future people will be able to see the bitcoin potential, I stay in the bear market because I believe in btc, and for me the price still good, so this bear market doesn't destroy my spirit to keep on holding

Better to stay here in cryptovurrency because I believe it will survive for sure. It need only few months to back again what the market cap in december 2017 and after few years it will become very high the price or better than the current price right now.

The main reason to say in this market is simple, if you want to get your money back then you need to stay, it is that simple, I'm not going to sell because I know the market is going to recover eventually and I'm not going to miss all those profits just because I was not patient enough to keep holding.

Not all of the cryptocurrency can bounce back to 101% it doesn't matter what is the technology behind that particular altcoins most of the PD, useless and scam coins die during the bear market that makes their volume so low that they got delisted to an exchange but that assurance belongs to bitcoin always if you hold some bitcoins then we have the reason to stay during this bear market.

Crypto currency market is always volatile and anything can happen at any time. The current market trend of Bitcoin and other crypto currency price are just normal and it will recover soon. The poits you have mentioned are true and I agree with that. The are so many reasons for a crypto market to boom or to get down to the earth and no one can predict what will the market be tomorrow perfectly.

All of that is true but in the end what gives me hope and determination to stay in crypto is the fact that this blockchain technology is really good thing and I believe that it will change the way we live. I've got no doubts about that.

Correct, this is why many have been expressing their speculations in positive manner and others remained bullish despite the fact that its hard to endure the corrections mostly for newbies.

The recovery has started and some believed that this is it for the bullish trend.
No one can perfectly predict what will happen but with some points and keys given there can be an accurate one.

It's not only we are very concerned with the price,  instead we will hope for a better future for this technology who tried to simplify our works and helping us to be more productive individuals. But people won't realize such thing and keep moaning once market is down.

Actually we are not in bearish market for now as we are above the 7000 $
If it breaks down here we will start to think that we are in a bearish market.

to be honest this time i was a bit start confusion and a little frustrating, i want to sell all my BTC assets but i still hesitate.

If people love and know what they are doing, they will not tire doing it even the road is so hard to take. If they trust cryptocurrency, they will not pull out within this blood market era. They would rather see it as an opportunity rather than a burden to their financial goals. Bear market wouldnt take us down. Lets keep our cryptocurrency goals straight forward.

This market is not easy for anyone, the movements of bitcoin can be completely unpredictable which shows there is a level of manipulation going on in the market and trying to find the perfect time to invest seems like a waste of time, it is better to decide a price in which we feel comfortable investing and then using all our money to buy at that price.

it is good to be on a bear market if you want to keep investing even more on bitcoin, that is the reason of why so many companies want to keep it as lower as possible, because they want to buy and buy as much as they can with those cheap prices.

Yes to accumulate more to invest and hold our btc. During bearish market it is good to have btc so always note it is not always in bear market. We can see a bullish market I believe for that.

The reason to stay is to earn more profit because the market price is always volatile and it was just normal for the market price to dump sometimes so everyone can invest while the price is still cheaper.
