Title: Best altcoin to hold for long term?
Post by: TRAN TRIN on June 24, 2018, 01:31:49 PM
Can someone recommend me a coin that is still around $.50 at this moment but will have a higher value in the future? I am planning to buy eos but it seems it now on its peak and i might just end up lossing instead of profiting.
Thanks guys!

We see this kind of posts all the time for people asking for some hot tips about what kind of altcoin to buy and make money but that is not really investing, you are just gambling with your money, an investor has a plan and learns the necessary skills so he can choose the right investment by himself, after all if you get a coin recommended to you how will you know they are right in their advice.

Not only that, but buying based on coin price and not on market cap is a newbie's mistake. I would suggest you spend some time learning about crypto before investing rather than trying to chase some "quick gains" and inevitably losing your money.

I would also highlight that EOS is a centralized shitcoin, and you would do well to stay well away.

I recommend NKN because it's the new kind of network connectivity protocol & ecosystem powered by blockchain for an open, decentralized, and shared Internet. W.Diffie is the advisor and the inventor of public key cryptography, they already have testnet. Good project for long term, DYOR.

I would suggest to buy and hold next generation blockchain projects and their coins like ada, icx, aion, universa etc.
If you like new, high quality utility projects at cheap price per token, buy some omx and xyo tokens.
If you are fan of real estate investments on blockchain with monthly rentals then invest in GlobalREIT.

There is no altcoin to hold for long term except ethereum, most altcoins are very speculative they will rise and people will make profit from them but they don't have value.

If I had to give you names... I'd say research into future nextgen platforms like Universa, Quarkchain and specially Zilliqa.

Truth is, nobody knows. It's easy to look things in retrospective but we don't know where we will be one year from now.

Only fee of the coins in the marketcoin cap are good. Most of them are just coins following others for proofit. :Best altcoins to hold for long terms as per my view are ethereum ,litecoin, neo, ada.

I agree that for now to hold for really long term among altcoins the Best is Ethereum. Everybody know that it is awesome brand, biggest cap, is developing pretty fast, moving to POS and privacy, is a Base for the most of ico, has quiet fast transactions.

And the main thing for me to be sure in its future is that fact that SEC said that it is not an utility) and we do not know what Will they said about others ;)

Hope futures Will not dump it too Hard...

Invest in ROC token. The price of it is under $1 and in the coming future the price of it will increase much higher. Its price on their official website is more than $100. If you buy on exchanges then in the future people will reach to buy from you with around $100

You can buy TRON/TRX. This coin is a potential altcoin that can compete with other top altcoins in the market. Right now, it's on their way to their token migration which they are getting out from ethereum platform. In other words, they are now an independent coin. June 26 (if im not mistaken)is the date of migration. Though im not sure if TRON will boom because of weak market. But this is 10 year project to develop. Also it has large community which supports TRON. So HODL it and im sure you'll get some gains from it.

Anyway, if you're afraid to buy some of it. Then i think you should stick to top 5 altcoins in the marketcap right now. I think they could give profits in the long run. Bear market is really makes altcoins drop for weeks now. If you're thinking about buying. Then i think it's the right time go buy. Good luck.

OP, make your research regarding this place. You may find a coin worthing that amount you just stated but not worth it. Now the price of bitcoin is quite low, it affect some altcoins too anf now is the time to buy your favorite altcoins that are really worth it cause their price will be low too. Aside bitcoin, I personally invested in cryptocurrencies like Bobsrepair(BOB) and AUTO because they are coins that are been used for everyday activities and has the advantage of mooning soon.

It looks so difficult right now. There is a lot of altcoins are still below the ico price but I can't give you a lot of choice because they are not having a proper development progress. Remme, UTN look very good choice for me.

Check out DeepOnion for your research. Strong Privacy coin, great tech and a great community. A little more than .50 usd, about .70 usd right now. Extremely undervalued coin with small market cap and small supply. Check it out and do your own research. I think theres a strong use case for privacy coins.

It seems this is a good time to invest a little bit in altcoin when prices are good
It's hard to talk about the hottest altcoin because the market is very volatile. To make a name , i choose DigiByte .The market goes down but dgb is stable compared to other altcoin . Dgb forecast is likely to be very high this year. Although it is now only $ 0. 034762 , but dgb is expected to increase $ 5 in five years

The price of altcoins has dropped a lot. Some of them are worth investing. Examples are BCH and Dash.

Not recommending the under 0.5$ coin. But you can surely bag some binance(bnb) coin and Huobi token too. They are the coins which are not effected even during the bear market and they are gonna prosper well with the exchange so its a win win situation.
And also binance does coin burn too which helps price get the momentum.

I think its too late to buy those kinds of coins and even if you profit it will just be few hundreds on top of your investment. Thats why Im looking for a coin that is still cheap which is $.050 each so that in the long run it will increase its value if the project is realy good and serious.

By searching for it yourself then you will get what you want with the best coins at a fairly cheap price, be able to search the hottest news on trusted crypto sites, so you yourself are more satisfied to determine your own future, choose from the best coins will be very good at the future with sufficient patience, any advice given to you not necessarily you know 100% and may have to dig deeper the prospect of coins your friend recommends no different from your own search and probably would be great if you want to analyze in depth not to rush in making decisions, back again it's all how you become yourself, I'm not an expert in deciding for 100% big profit.

I think for now every coin is not on peak.. EOS is same too. If you don’t trust in EOS, you can buy XRP. XRP now costs lower 0.5. You don’t want to miss this chance…. I had bought XRP at price 0.89 weeks ago.

AMB.

-currently only $.26
-you can get a master node for around $3k usd which is an insane deal considering the expected ROI for node operators
-rumored partnerships with Migros (30 billion), GSK (40 billion) and others means there will be mass adoption of AMB-NET platform
-rockstar team with deep connections in Swiss government and corporations
-full fledged IOT platform with their own hardware and proprietary sensors

The price is not important dude. The important thing is the total marketcap.
By the way, I don't recommend you to buy during the fall. "catching a falling knife" is not easy. Just wait for the bullish trend.

You don't believe the crypto market so you are not recommend the Crypto investment. This is the best time to buy altcoin because if you buy more altcoin automatically this will raise in similarly so demands is the major role in every cryptocurrency. But no one is invest in crypto this will move backward so we should support this situation it will make profit.

Nothing is surprising there about NEO price mate since it was said to be the back bone for the Chinese implementation from fiat to digital currency and we both know that the Chinese have the highest population in the world. However, the only way to choose the best altcoin to hold is through there past historical data for years before the recent market correction.
Meanwhile, UBCoin (https://ubcoin.io/en/ico) is coming strong and it good altcoin for longterm investment.

Ethereum is top most trusted platform so it will raise in future and It is the secured investment but we should split to more than two coins because we don't believe the single investment in crypto and anytime this will move to down so better invest in additional investment. We don't worried about any kind of situation.

I wouldn't ask someone to shill their coins that are under $0.5. How you are trying to make yourself secure with what you are asking?
You want a cheap coin and ask that there's an assurance of it to grow in the future? What kind of question is that.
If there's an altcoin like that I wouldn't gladly tell it to you, there's no coin such like that, we are also in the bear market so it's hard to know.
But still there are a lot of coins which are of the type which the OP need but it need research. Theer are more than a thousands coin, some people know one coin and some know other like I know about ROC coin that it has started the growth. That is why this type of question help.
He's asking for a coin that will give you profit without any doubts and hesitation and that's impossible with the crypto market.
You know the volatility thing about coin and it's not about how cheap the coin is but it's all about the unstable pricing of every coin whether they are under $0.5.
What I want to say is there is no way to find out that such coins will have higher value in the future with less than a price of what OP is asking.

You do not just rely on advice from others only, but you have to learn more about the development of Altcoin in order to avoid losses. I see that there is now so much Altcoin we can buy for the long run or for daily tranding because the current market situation all dropped dramatically even up to 200% more.

someone can not give you a definite suggestion, because if you ask 1 person and then ask the other of course the answer is different, so there is no clue.
it makes no sense to ask for advice from someone you do not know, and you put your money in there, it's like gambling.

I had to remove your size not sure why it was needed. There are many altcoins you can purchase for $0.50. What is your reason behind picking coins that are around 0.50 and not few cents or $1? Many people in this thread have made great suggestion so you can pick any of them but you'll have more options if you leave more room for other tokens that may not be around your exact price.

Check Blockshipping.
ICO ongoing.

The blockchain based GSCP platform is the world's first freight container registry and the first global platform allowing all players in the shipping industry to perform a wide range of transactions related to the handling of containers.
The GSCP ICO offers a set of token features including a Revenue Sharing Model as well as a Market Maker Fund that allows ICO contributors to sell their coins back to the platform at a floor price until Blockshipping has met certain fixed milestones.

I took them already for bounty campaign because I want to take as more as possible their tokens. Via bounty and token sale.

Acorn collective. Soon on exchanges.

Enkronos. ICO as well.

GoNetwork

Project Shivom. Zebi, Matrix and CVC are already on exchanges.

Powerledger, We Power and CarVertical. Thrive.

HODL!!!

Omx has great potential coin shivom project has partnership with leading molecular diagnostics company Genetic Technologies Limited .

Thanks guys!

Thus I think you are wrong. EOS still has the potential to be great and this is not the highest peak in the EOS. Indeed apart from the EOS is also much like a ripple which is also a nice altcoin for investment. but for that still has the potential to ride course EOS a good choice.

Hard to say which altcoins are the best to hold them for long term? What do you mean with long term. Long term is for me if you hold a coins for 2-5 years or even longer. Good coins to hold for a couple of years are Ethereum, Litecoin, Waves and last but not least Bitcoin! :D
Something close to that mate, maybe around 10 years. Im planning to invest my $1000 that I got when I sold my exrn tokens. I am looking for a more solid project that will be profitable soon so that i can use it when I retire from working at the age of 40.

i'm sure you're getting confused and hesitant to see so many coins recommended for the long term ;D

I recommend  UBCoin (https://ubcoin.io/en) and 1UBC is currently 0.00011161ETH. However, the coin have a great utility and the purpose of the project is to make cryptocurrency more easy to spend than fiat currency. Besides, have created UB Bank and they are planning to created a market place like eBay and their UBCoin either.
Go to their   site (https://ubcoin.io/en)  or   ANN thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3109856.0) so you can understand what I'm saying.

There are lots of altcoins that is having a price around of $.50, but there are no guarantee that it can double your investment or it can give you more profit in the future. Unlike in ethereum and bitcoin that has been tested and most recommended cryptos by most of all crypto holders for how many years.

As I can consider myself as an expert in ICOs field and investment, so I can give you some advice. You need to choose it really careful and study all about ICO project which you want to invest in. For example, an experience of a team, a value of the project, uniqueness and then read some comments about it. If you need my recommendation, I can say you that you need to study about Kelvin Blockchain. Kelvin Blockchain is very flexible and adaptive, which makes it a perfect choice for implementation of the new blockchain projects and platforms.

To be honest if we break the last all time high in the future EOS is still good coin to buy. The features will beat ethereum and people start using it for crowdsale. But if you want token which is very undervalued but the developer still on progress to make the project work i will recomend you atlant, auctus, HyperQuant, essentia. Essentia will have its own blockchain and there is commitment from investor for 100 million funding in the futures.

To find the altcoins that match the criteria you gave, the XRP I found reasonable. Current ripple is very potential in the future because it is only behind BTC and ETH. XRP's blockchain technology is currently used in many companies around the world, with XRP's current exchange rate of only $ 0.4. So invest today and hold for long-term to make a high profit in the future.

Some people are already posted about Spectrecoin (XSPEC) in other threads

But my view on this is that

In order to win the arms race with 1890 other crypto projects

a project must have USP (unique selling proposition)

More beneficial for the initial investor is to get entered in such a project at a very low mcap for maximum potential gains (penny stocks)

One of those super undervalued projects is Spectrecoin

Do your own research to understand why, but main reason is a possibility of staking while staying completely anonymous receiving anonymous stakes - new Stealth Staking algo or Proof-of-Stealth

P.S.
And btw it has alread been hitting ATH of 5-6 dollars per coin, while now as you ve asked sub 0,5$
So now is the time if anything

I would look into Securities tokens. Mostly, they represent a long-term opportunities for holders.

Corl, for example, is the world’s first token to represent equity ownership in a company that provides revenue-sharing financing to high-potential early-revenue companies.

Unlike traditional tokens on the market, Corl is based on a profit-sharing model and investors receive a continuous stream of quarterly dividends in the form of Ether (ETH), based on future earnings of Corl.

So, here's the link if you want to dive into the world of Securities https://corl.io/

If you’re looking at a coin under .50c you need to take into consideration the current marketcap and supply of the coin. Look for a smaller marketcap and smaller supply as that is what is going to determine price in the long term. Take into consideration the strength of the team, utility of the coin, strength of community and project funding. If all 4 of those things are in place than the coin has potential to succeed. I’m investing in Spectrecoin at the moment for those very reasons. They have a development fund set up where every 6th Block goes to the development of the project. The project also ranks in the top 10 of most successful ICO’s in rate of return.

I believe that we are waiting for the demand for coins of privacy, they are the equivalent of cash which is also private. In crypto, many miss this moment by attention, but in vain... XSPEC is a Prime example of a privacy coin at the request of the user. It is also a fully working product, which means public recognition and therefore growth is inevitable. At the moment, the price is firmly held around $0.3. Don't miss this sleeping giant! Good luck in your search!

many altcoins that cost under $ 50 but no one guarantees that the coin will increase in the future, I think how cryptocurrency works is not as easy as the advice given by others, the reality is that it is very difficult to guess which altcoin will increase, I think all traders keep monitoring the altcoin and see the development of all altcoins at the same time, traders don't stick to one or more altcoins, they are very smart at choosing altcoins and are not afraid of losing money.

Looking through this thread I've seen some have mentioned Spectrecoin, Xspec but I really have to agree. Currently it's under .50 cents and has $20 dollar potential by 2019. It's all time high was $6.00 during the last bull run with a lesser product so if you think Xspec can't at least equal it's previous high of $6.00 with more to show tech and development wise during the next bull run your crazy. It will be an insane return even if it just reaches it's previous high. In all honesty I know of no coin that packs that kind of potential return.

Great advice, we should not depend to anyone because if you ask wrong people for sure he will tell you to invest on a shitcoin. This market consist of good altcoins, make effort to know the coins that is worth holding for in the long term. Investment is very risky, you have to understand this market and not to keep on asking where to invest.

If that keeps boiling long- term i recommend buying and storing Altcoin as EDO. EDO Altcoin is a slow but steady and steady increase that is ranked 178 on coinmarketcap. EDO's technology is very good and very potential in the future and it is expected to be up to $ 20 next year.

This are my list for the best profitable altcoin.

1. Ethereum
2. ADA
3. EOS
4. Litecoin
5. NEO

These altcoins are also one of the best altcoins of 2017 and since then they got a lot of improvement. So i believe these altcoins are the best for doing a long term investment if we will base it on their performance. But still it will depends on you. Still do a research until you will satisfy yourself so you will not regret it.

I think it's good if you do your own research if you want to buy those cheaper altcoins as more alts are having hype and its a risk to invest without doing your research.

Very often the cheapest "penny" altcoins really give the best profits but not all of them. If you are not yet ready to risk, pick better Cardano, NEO, DASH, Monero, and Qtum.

I don't like EOS and not have the likes of this coin so its a no no for me. If you are looking for $0.5 worth of altcoins currently, there's a lot of it. I'll suggest you those coins that fits your budget that I think is a good coin to buy now though I want to tell you my best buy coins that's quite expensive.

1. Stellar - $0.2
2. Zilliqa - $0.04
3. Digibyte - $0.03
4. Siacoin - $0.006
5. Pundi X - $0.001

Here are the coins from the top 50 of www.coinmarketcap.com

There's a lot of altcoin that in a cheap price because of the huge drop in the past few months until now the market are not fully recovered yet.  Yes is in the cheap price  but not all of them are worth it or will giving to you profits,  because a lot of them is a shitcoins. Make a research before invest.

yes, that is what we should do, before we buy altcoins to invest long term, or to trade, we better do the research with the altcoin first, choose what we think the coin will have a good development in the future, and we must really careful in choosing it, so that we will get big profits.

Do you think Bitcoin Cash or ETH have good development teams?

Can someone recommend me a coin that is still around $.50 at this moment but will have a higher value in the future? I am planning to buy eos but it seems it now on its peak and i might just end up lossing instead of profiting.
Thanks guys!

In my own opinion no one can recommend you what kind of altcoin do you invest in.We must decide and analyze that altcoin do we invest so that we cannot blame others opinion.
