Title: account hacked, advice to all
Post by: techstorm3 on February 07, 2014, 09:56:15 AM
Hi

Last night i got an email saying someone had tried to change the password on my hotmail account, i quickly got on and changed my password, more worryingly at the same time i got an email from cryptsy saying the same thing, "you have requested an email change at cryptsy.com the address you have requested to change to killme89@abv.org

Needless to say i hadnt requested this and have sent an email to cryptsy support alerting them, however, icant login to cryptsy.com with my account so i fear the worst, my coins are gone.

Luckily i dont keep much at cryptsy but keep most of my holdings in paper wallets.

Also my account techstorm2 on bitcointalk.org has also been hacked and i cant log onto it. Not sure if theres an admin that can look into this, but if anyone posts using techstorm2 from this morning onwards, ITS not ME! and likely the little thief asshole who hacked the rest.

Thanks and good luck.

 ;)

the forum was hacked a few months ago.  they claim passwords are hashed.

You can't expect everyone read this thread.

You better give negative trust feedbak to your old account and report theft to admins.

Check your computer, if they haven't somehow gotten into it. Best way Malwarebytes, but if you don't know how to use it sing up for some forum that has lots of people who can help you with it and send them the log. Or if you think your computer has been compromised then best to do is format it and start over.
