This guide is for the people who tried this method https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=450539.0 and now soloing maxcoin on there cloudfarm.

So if you''ve got past the steps into the link above to the point you cannot come any further i help you out here.

Step1: Make an account on http://ypool.net/
Step2: Make an working under Maxcoin ( This pool has a default of Primecoin ) It should look like this: Username MAX_1 Password
Step3: Go turn on putty and fire up that terminal
Step4: Run Wine (sudo apt-get install wine)
Step5: Type this in the command line "wget https://www.dropbox.com/s/oabz1a5e22ypmgt/xptMiner_x64.zip"
Step6: Type "sudo unzip xptMiner_x64.zip"
Step7: Type this one next "wine64 xptMiner.exe -o http://ypool.net -u username.workname -p password -t 4" and if you made your worker on the pool it should join the pool and mine maxcoins the -t 4 stands for the amount of threads using so if you''re using 8 cores then you need to fill in 8.

I still get this error when trying to retrieve my adress with maxcoind getnewadress

"error: {"code":-32601,"message":"Method not found"}

for the moment with this pool you do not need an adres, but you can mine the coin already and just wait for the developers to fix there cluster fuck.

I have tried some hours ago with wine, but I always get

"Invalid share
Reason: Merkleroot is invalid or corrupted. Update your miner."

and no share get

Make sure you update your miner.exe ;)

Is solo mining on Maxcoin is still profitable? Coin is getting value pretty fast that's why I was wondering...
