My question is mainly how to do the marketing if you are launching a new crypto currency step by step ?

You can refer on other ICO's way of marketing:

a) Helding a bounty campaign here in bitcointalk*

b) Opening a signature campaign (WEEKLY btc payment) here in bitcointalk*

c) Placing ads on social media platforms

d) Placing ads on Youtube (the one shown before viewing any videos)

e) Doing a regular meetups and seminars discussing the projects goal in public

f) Non stop advertising at any means

Honestly marketing cryptos needs more dedication than when the time you are planning it. Proper execution is a must and accept that it will be a difficult way. Sometimes you need to spend big money on it even without an assurance that it will be paid off. Goodluck anyways.

Contrary to popular belief, a good product won't market itself.

The best way is don't because your project is probably shit and more ICOs just dilute this space and take away from bitcoin.  over 95 percent of these fucking tokens will be dead within a year or two.

Not to come across as harsh as the above poster, but before you launch your new coin and before you try to market it, stop.

First, study every single other coin project that has a listing on CoinGecko.com. I used to say CoinMarketcap but they only list coins that have a daily trading volume of over 100K USD, so they leave a lot out.

Study their executive teams, their plans, their goals, what problem they are solving and what new products they are creating.

A lot of the coins out there are probably junk, but let me recommend you focus your study on a few of them: DMD Diamond, DNotes, NEM (XEM), STEEM, SMART Cash. All of those projects are solid, but I'm sure they're not the only ones.

Once you have carefully studied all the projects and eliminated the bad ones...

...look at your own project and ask yourself what your coin will accomplish that these other projects have not already tackled or plan to tackle in the near future. Does your coin offer something unique and of value?

If it does, then start by posting about it right here on this thread. Tell me about it. I love investing in promising new projects, but they have to be more than just an idea with a fancy white paper.

When you read a blog post where a guy is advertising a crypto you know he's profiting from the post. Accounts that only mention the coin are paid shills. Advertisements on youtube, google, etc, have paid to be put there. All of these forms are not organic, and are driven by greed and money.

A couple people talking about a coin says to me that they're interested in it, and that's enough for me to look into the coin. From there I have to decide whether or not it's worth it.

There is not a step by step guide out there to help you with this, but if you put attention you can see many avenues where people are marketing cryptocurrencies, you will see that many coins have an ANN thread in this forum simply because it is the most popular forum about bitcoin and altcoins in the Internet, then you need to create a social media presence in Facebook, reddit, and other sites you also need to create a website with all the necessary information about your project including the whitepaper and the name of and pictures of all the developers, and all of that is probably just the beginning.

Most of the ICOs will fail this year. If you want to run a successful ICO make sure you come up with a unique idea with an MVP. People nowadays invests in projects with working product only. Yes the signature campaigns with weekly payment is one of the most best way to promote in our forum which may have the more crypto related person than anywhere in the world but the marketing is just not enough to be succussful the quality needs to be exceptional and don't do just copycats of some other coins.Eve we are spending much money for marketing still we are not sure about the reach because there are many projects failed even if they ran signature campaigns.

Simply place a bounty program here and give more allocation to the signature bountry program ... and bounty hunters will take care the rest .. i believe that there is no point in placing ads in google absence nowadays ..

I'll be brutally honest.  This space is already over crowded with too many coins.  The competition for new projects is extremely high.  Unless you are willing to spend a lot of capital on marketing you will most likely not get anywhere. 

What I've noticed is the growth of advertisers that are putting their ICO on the ICO review list website and pay for the good review.

This is a deceitful tactic which makes your ICO unreliable, I hope you are not going to do this one. If your ICO is helpful and your token will be usable in some services, a simple way of normal advertising that are listed above shall be enough.

All these will be easily covered up through a bounty program. Yes, that is the reason almost all the new ICOs are focusing on having a large bounty program. Basically to reach more number of crypto users, signature campaign will be very effective. Because reaching more crypto users will definitely take any new project into success.

I believe we do not need to think big. Just having a signature and twitter campaign in this forum will be doing all the needed job in couple of simple steps. Having a manager and asking them to start these campaign will be more than enough for marketing any new crypto into this crypto community.

The most important thing is to build a site with a clear message and clean design, highlighting the things that matter: The central idea, and the team that will deliver it. Also, a  well crafted press release is crucial to building up media interest in your product.There is the also the need to put it on the ICO calender to publicize your upcoming ICOs, and most of them will list your coin launch for free. It really isn't enough to market through social media and signature campaigns but that will add as part of one best marketing for any new crypto.

Before matekting cryptocurrencies use to be sort of easy because alot of people are be reached through the social media like Facebook, Twitter and the few other. But recently that that Facebook banned ICOs , things haven't been easy and shitty ICOs are the  cause of this banned. I advised you that if you dont know how to run an ico for your project maybe you should consult an adviser and build your development team who has enough knowledge to handle crypro projects and run a campaign to promote your crypto.

Thank you all for the advices and help guys, but I’m not planning an ICO, my goal is to start straight with the product, bold a strong community and grow rather slow but steady. I think as most of you said signature and bounty campaigns will do a perfect job.

I cannot aim for great marketing mainly bcs of the funding but I think that if my idea is great, and the development is strong people who give me their trust will manage to do the marketing better. I’m aiming for quality over quantity.

To market a new cryto is not the work of an individual. However, to market a new crypto it is the work of the team member because they are the one that know the new token better than anybody. I have seen a lot of guys are joining different platform like- groups, social media, different crypto forums and many more. They discuss about their brand and promote it logically. Anyways, there have some good crypto projects you can review Ethereum, Altcoin, PTC, BTC, SciDex.

I will agree with you on promoting an ICO through bounty campaigns like social media, signatures, but I won't agree with you promoting an ICO through YouTube ads, many people like me use ads blocker and other don't listen to the ads when they appear, they will cancel it immediately, YouTube ads is not a good way, it will be a waste of resources.

Probably the best option for you as a beginner would be to find or raise the money needed to hire a team of professionals in that sphere, for those project there are always a bigger trust.
