I found three posts with the address of my wallet. Can this help in unlocking your account?

This user's email address was changed recently.

I hope you had any of your Bitcoin address staked with a signed message in Stake your Bitcoin address here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996318.0) topic. If then follow the instructions on this topic: Recovering hacked accounts or accounts with lost passwords (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0)

If you do not have a signed bitcoin addresses staked then I doubt you have any change to recover your account.

PS: It's gonna help the forum mod/admin if you also put the link of your hacked (main) account (vyg) on the OP as well. Try to simplify their job (putting direct link of your profile) since the mod/admins already have too much loads.

Using the search on the forum, I was able to find the address of my ETH wallet. Can this help?

1. Type MEW address
2. Click
3. Write message
4. Follow rest of the instructions

it's an unaliased yopmail address, an open (non password protected) mailbox accessable by anyone
can't you just reclaim your account instead of locking it?
and I think the password has not been changed yet by the hacker, just email changed

Get the link of the ETH addresses and let someone else (I can do it too if I see it) to quote them so that the hacker can not change it.

You did not get me yet.... Get the link of those posts here so that someone else can quote it for reference. This way the hacker can not change the ETH address from your original post.

You can then sign the message. First secure the posts with the ETH addresses.

You can use the same Gmail account to regain your account by recovering your password via Gmail. But you need to make sure that your vys account is already linked to your Gmail account. good luck

Doesn't make sense to me. If I did read this correctly, the hacker changed the email, he must have changed the pass by now too. There are logs where you can check this or you can ask a mod. Your yopmail should be useless by now and not linked to the forum.

Anyway, im sorry to be the realistic here, but you will most likely not recover the account. It's a Full Member account, and you only have an ETH account.

There are Legendary members with BTC signed addresses that don't get their account back as well:

This doesn't mean you should stop trying. Send it to cyrus and theymos and wait. I don't think there's any strict rule against bumping your own thread from time to time, don't spam and you should be ok.

Vyg I am in a similar situation where my account was stolen. After reading similar things from others I am less optimistic than I was starting out, and I know exactly what you're going through. So far I have just messaged Cyrus, and hilariousandco, and in a weeks time will try messaging Theymos.

I also still own the original kworrom gmail to sign up for the account, and have old notifications from bitcointalk from messages received still. Check out https://snag.gy/Gd7Wu3 and https://snag.gy/OztVaE screencaps. They stole my account to use to spam bounty programs, and then additionally used my identity to create a telegram account and spam youtube. Vyg, have you checked how the person is using your account now? This message was created on August 22nd 2018.

In the end my best advice is send one signed message with information to Cyrus/hilariousandco/Theymos, and check back every week on the situation for a message from them. If it takes longer than 6 months just move on and consider that they are choosing to ignore your request. This is at least how I am approaching the situation. Hopefully your account is returned to you, or you can find a way to eventually move on to using another account or other forums. At the very least if your account is benefiting from bounty programs like my stolen account is maybe try and contact the bounty providers to get them suspended, or again message hilariousandco to try to ban the account (hilariousandco has not responded to me yet, but said he would look at a message the other day). It is a sad state of affairs, but honestly it's just life... you will take losses and have to move on. This is unfortunately one of those situations it seems.

I notice you did not open your thread and ask someone to verify your address and tag hacker so he can not use your accounts on a way he is using it now. Also mods can ban your account if you prove that you are owner, and signed message is good proof for that.

If you want us to recover a hacked/lost account, you need to prove that you own it. Typically, the only acceptable method of proving ownership is by signing a message (including current date and desired new email address) using a Bitcoin address or PGP key associated with the account. Send one PM to Cyrus. If Cyrus doesn't respond after two weeks, you can try sending a PM to me instead. When sending a PM, use a template...

Send me the signed message on my hilariousandco account or post it here and if it checks out I can ban the account. Only admins can restore access to you though so you'll still need to wait for that to happen.

I look forward to seeing action towards this in a reasonable amount of time. I will also message Theymos in 2 weeks if I don't hear from Cyrus. I understand everyone is busy, and it's a horrible waste of time to deal with account requests, but I don't know what else to do at this point.

Lucius, I'm not sure I follow your suggestion. Am I approaching this in the wrong way? What should I do next in your opinion? Here's a timeline of my actions:

You did everything as stated in "Recovering hacked accounts or accounts with lost passwords", but your account should be tagged by DT member and banned by mod so hacker can not do more damage to your account. It is quite logical that the account is completely blocked until the moment it is returned to the right owner, in this case to you.

None of the moderators help in solving such problems. Honestly, I already despaired of returning my account. And I do not want to develop a new account any more because I'm not sure that it will not be stolen either. The forum does not protect its people and does not develop protection.
