I think the best altcoin to upon right now would be ethereum,litcoin and eos. Because their recent developement has caught my eyes and I think they will be in the good position at the end of this year. So you can invest in their.

Maybe start the other way around....check what popular projects you should perhaps leave alone right now. Some already peaked, some have future accomplishments already added into their current price. Some are way overpriced, some are just crap projects with no real future, some still have to go down to their normal value, some are hyped, so totally headlocked by whales. A lot to avoid right now imo :).

Once btc starts stabilizing again (or rising) most if all will go up fast, so prepare for that :).

Well to be honest only invest in established projects right now because there are a lot of low quality projects around nowadays, i will suggest you to bag hold btc, eth and ltc etc only if you do not want to loose your investment.

Without proper research, you could end up in a really bad situation. If someone recommend a coin to you, you first should research what's its background. Read its whitepaper because that's where the details are. Then next is know the background of the team. Team is very important as scam ICOs tend to just copy people's identity and without extensive research, you could end up getting scammed. by small coins i mean those coins with small market cap and lower volume. the coins which are always overlooked until they are pumped and it is too late.
these coins (because they are small) got dumped properly and reached their bottoms. and now they are rising back up because after hitting bottom there is no other way to go but up.

I do the rate on a top of 10 coins which have the highest market capitalization. They have very developed teams capable to develop regularly the projects. We need to wait a little to see their growth. Now general recession of interest which negatively affects on the market.

i like the idea of smaller altcoins that are getting pumped and i also use it myself most of the times but that is also risky these days since the market is being pulled down by the bigger coins that are getting dumped.
maybe it is best to not trade anything at all at times like this.

The market is huge so it is always not a bad idea to at least be picky in one's investment and rely wholly on one's decision based on what one can find out from the prospect of the project. My favorite coins for trading are ADA and IOTA. They are shaking well and growing along with the growth of BTC and ETH. With them you will not be mistaken!

I will be very honest with you. There are coins which I believe shall rise for sure this year. These are ICX, Lisk and PRG- especially which is coming with Paragon space and seed to sale tracking system which shall give cannabis user an opportunity to track their plants.

Ethereum seems pretty safe to invest in. But i think it's worth buying now only if you want to participate in ICOs. The market is in downtrend for half of the year and i think it could go deeper and you could buy ETH cheaper. But you can do x2 or more on good ICO even on downtrend and it's a good idea to accumulate ETH.

In my own opinion, the best altcoins to invest is ethereum because this coin has the potential to surpass bitcoins in the future due to its high demand in the market.

Ethereum is not the only altcoin you can invest in, as that depends on the level of risk you may want to take.

If the OP is looking for less risky trades, trying to invest in any of the top 100 altcoins with huge market cap will do as to at least cut down on low volumes and caps while trying to investigate those with real life products, most especially when it has to do with the long term.

Altcoins should be having some bounce pretty soon and picking the right ones can actually be very rewarding.

I prefer EOS and ZRX now. Both projects have a great future. And the price is now quite low. I think that everyone needs to have them in their portfolio, if not most of them.

everyone will give different opinions as to what should be invested. but a nice step better select which have the potential for good and can survive in the long term. Moreover select altcoin which has been quite a good development in order to feel safe to invest. ripple and stellar became solutions and the great option for trying.

Ethereum and litecoin is a good buy now for me. For high circulating supply coin I suggest cardano and stellar, buy em while they're cheap now.
