There is no relation between the two cryptocurrencies apart from having Bitcoin as a name or a part from the name and that BTG is a fork of BTC.
BTG as far as I remember is created to be asic resistant which is one of the important features it has, otherwise, it is not that important.

If bitcoin goes down, alts go down, not the other way. Also btg is simply a copy of bitcoin, a scam. Like (almost) all other hardforks. So yeah, you should expect even more decline

its not bitcoin centric,

if alts go down, its also a loss in trust into the entire cryptoindustry

if altcoins stop winning people will then as, but why the cult arround bitcoin then?

and bitcoin follows them.

nevertheless bitcoin gold got hit much harder than other bitcoins, it was one of the top 10 cryptocurrencies.

same with dash zcash etc.

dash lost 83.3% for example

BTC and BTG is totally different so how come you compare it.From what I heard BTG is a scam so never compare it to BTC.BTC and alt coins are down but same thing it will rise up in right time.

BTG is same scam/nonscam than BTC

why should it be different?

and why should zcash, or dash be different?

have all the same legitimacy to seek attention to pretend its money than BTC wasnt god that defined bitcoin as a currency.

What do you expect from a copy, it's tanking hard and is very much of no surprise. How many times have that alt been hit hard and it's making it to lose value fast. Besides those that held when you see such happening, you have no option than to join the dump crew. Bitcoin gold have no relation whatsoever to BTC.

A coin needs a purpose.  Apart from trade it, what can you do with BTG?  Probably nothing.

Bitcoin Gold is an absolutely useless coin, which became famous only because its name contains the word Bitcoin. I think Bitcoin Gold will fall even more. Better sell it.

BTG's price is not determined by bitcoin. Its determined by demand and supply. However the price of bitcoin influences other alts. Bitcoin is not responsible for alts to crash. If people try to dump bitcoin, they would also have to dump alts, so that those who try to influence the markets succeed in what they are doing. BTG is not a big altcoin, yet. Its just a third wheel type of crypto. People were forced to trade with it, in the beginning and now they just don't care.

But who trusts on Bitcoin Gold? We all knew that it has always been a shitcoin and we can not discuss that, because we all are aware of that

I don't know if we should call Bitcoin Gold a shitcoin or not. It started as a Bitcoin fork and it acquired a significant part of the cryptocurrency market before its price crashed hard.

I don't feel anything strange in here ;D. It's always the same that dump and pump ;D. Beside I don't think BTG is a good cryptocurrency so it's also a reason why I don't trust this cryptocurrency and I don't invest in it as well ;D. IMO, I think BTG is the worst cryptocurrency created through BTC hardfork :)

We should lol consider bitcoin gold gets 51% attack from the miners and then it can be called as another shitty fork scam coin. Bitcoin diamond and any other bitcoin fork has been creating for nothing. It's only to give the developer fast money. Remember BTG reserves 1 million coins to the developer of BTG and that's bullshit.

Well, that sucks. Bitcoin gold declined so huge and so as everyone. Altcoin market is dead while Bitcoin is trying to revive. But the drop make BTG almost worthless. 92% is insane!

Bitcoin declined too. But BTG is different from BTC. BTC have large amount of supporters and BTG is just a forked coin from BTC and in terms of popularity, BTG is not that popular. Most of the forked coins from BTC for sure declined huge also. And many forked coins from BTC will pop out soon. But BTC still the king and they will fail to replace it. Anyway, BTG can recover. The volume just not enough to make it rise. Once huge volume of capital pour to the market. Expect the surge of it and other altcoins in the market.

bitcoin’s fake cousins or relatives are craps. I cannot find any reason to support those crap coins. They are useless. purpose of their existence is for manipulation.

somehow that from the beginning I knew the crypto world I was not really interested in buying and having coins coming from hard forks. maybe this option is ridiculous, but I'm sure that there are still a lot of coins better than BTG.

Except for Bitcoin Cash, the rest of the forks of Bitcoin are not very good coins. This is why the value of Bitcoin Gold is going down, and it probably not recover.

No Bitcoin Gold price will recover if Bitcoin starts rising again like any other coin or if many people or big companies will join it in the future which is a little bit hard  :-[
Bitcoin cash also lost significantly >75% from more than $3,000 to $740
