I think it is very likely that this market will disappear. When big financial investors play the game, profits will be generated when new investors enter the market. However, I find that the more confidence in this market is reduced. It is too unstable, prices are rising so fast in a short time and so dropping so fast. The financial sharks control the price of the market, and retail investors are constantly losing money. I believe that when the confidence in the market is gone, the market will collapse

no. but what i think will happen is that the market will grow too big. so now you see about 1700-1800 altcoins by that time (maybe 2-3 years) you will see a huge number of altcoins. something like 10000 different one. and 99% of them will be pure shit, basically like now but there will be more of them around.

then it will implode because of the large amount of scams and people will finally learn from their mistakes and stop giving their money away to all the ICOs and shitcoins,... and in a short time (less than 1 year) all the big altcoins on top and all the scam coins will disappear and only a handful will remain.

First off, your topic title doesn't make any sense.

Also, the markets will not simply disappear just because of volatility. If you at least did a slight bit of research, you would almost automatically know that the cryptocurrency market is heavily volatile. This is something that shouldn't be realized later on. Yes, the prices do rise and drop very fast; but some people do take advantage of this volatility to make money.

Even though it's debatable if bitcoin will rise or crash in the future, markets simply don't "disappear". Markets rise and crash. Even if bitcoin does a nosedive to double or triple digits the markets will still be there, as some people are definitely willing to pay significantly low prices.

I don’t think bitcoin cryptocurrency would just disappear anytime as there are a lot of people who are interested in it despite of its volatility. Let’s face it, crypto is one way for people to earn money, may it be their primary or swcondary income. When prices are low, a lot are taking advantage of the market in the hopes of having a rise again. The confidence of the people in cryptocurrency is impossible to be at zero, there will always be a handful of people who will believe in crypto.

We can say with confidence that the crypto-currency market in the foreseeable future simply can not disappear. Even if bitcoin crashes and returns. to the cost of one hundred dollars, the crypto-currency market will develop. It is possible that the price of a crypto currency will not grow so quickly, but for the stability of the market this may prove even more useful. I think that over time the market will ripen, there will be less such big price drops, it will be more stable than now.

Yes i all out support on your opinion sir, people worrying about bitcoin die or diead in the future are making panic because delivered a negative thoughts  not making give good information and didn't believe the strong future of cryptocurrency ams then affected of this negative topic are those people not really knows the importance of cryptocurrency.

Nice speculations, hopefully that will be happen soon so the ICOs and shitcoins are disappeared now in our current time.  Actually cryptocurrencies are starting to shine and trying to maintain their  existency in the market so it possibly become much  successful in the future. However, hopefully the shitcoins will already done by that time.

I think the cryptocurrency market will still survive and will not disappear within 5 years or so because cryptocurrency has a lot of interest and every day there will be newcomers who join the crypto world because crypto is one place for us to find additional money and to be an alternative investment regardless of its unstable price. Especially now more and more countries are recognized the legality of crypto. As long as the crypto platform continues to grow, the crypto currency will remain an alternative for investor.

which market are you talking about here? bitcoin or altcoins? because they are very different.
for example when it comes to bitcoin volatility, it is volatile but it is rising. which means there is usually a big surge followed by a big fall but the final price will always be higher than the starting price and then after the fall is done the price will continue rising.
but when it comes to altcoins they always have a surge followed by  a big drop but the final price is not bigger than the starting. it sometimes is lower even as they die.

and the market won't disappear. as long as there is a incentive for it. again there is a difference here too. bitcoin has real world applications so it will stay and because of it, it will have a market where it is being traded. altcoins don't have that real world application but they are pure speculation so the incentive is the profit so the altcoin market will not disappear either. the altcoins will disappear though but they will be replaced by another one or 10.

Yes, you're right. The market are not depends only in bitcoin there are some other Cryptos that has also a better platform and great performance in the market that may cause the existence of the market. Even bitcoin has the biggest part of the market it doesn't means that when bitcoin will disappear the market also disappeared it's not like that. However, for now we can see the better start of cryptocurrency because for now there are the continues adaptation of this system all over the world so it possibly become much successful in the future.

Anyone claiming cryptos will disappear is talking nonsense and hasn't understood some fundamental property of crypto.  This isnt hard bullish sentiment just simple observation: crypto's dont die.  Thats why there are 1600 of them listed, all sorts of scams, whitepaper projects, hobbies and jokes are in there.  Bitconnect is still exists and still trades!  Verge coin is valued at $300m despite being hacked and having no meaningful development team.

Once released a crypto will survive as long as the code exists and running somewhere. The question is whether there is any value in the market.  Most of the top 100 wont offer real value in the future, as people and tools coalesce around a small group.  This has to happen for the the mas market adoption, people aren't going to use it every day with so many competing coins and technologies.  Cross-chain solutions wont solve that because people will want a simple concept of $crypto is worth $currency not have to track multiple exchange rates. Dapps and tools will flourish in high numbers, however they aren't going to be used as currency, they can exist on or adpot other established blockchains.  

We like to compare to the early Web, the dot com era of the late 90's, however technology wise we are in the early internet era pre-web, where lots of competing technologies via for attention most of which are rubbish some of which are fantastic but will be overlooked and a few of which are the future foundations.

for instance every year we have at least about 100 altcoins that die and go to the altcoin grave yard. you can search the graveyard and see the long list of them.

Crypto market ain't going away. Crypto market are slows getting integrated into the stock market. People can now buy and sell crypto's on a numbers of stock tradings platforms. And it's not just bitcoins, but a lot of the big crypto  coins.

In 5 years there will be even more crypto's on coinmarketcap, and outside the coinmarketcap list there will be even more crypto's to buy and sell.

It is very difficult to happen,because cryptocurrency coins are anonymous. Any prohibitions will impose by the governments will not be easy to implement it all. People will continue doing crypto activities because it will help them to make their lives getting better.

5 years is an ample amount of time for the people to lost interest at something they know they couldn't take advantage, but in those crucial 5 years, if the market continues to rise and institutional investors keep on coming, I guess we'll have more boom than storm clouds over the horizon. Seeing how institutional investors and the government are interested on cryptocurrencies, they will keep pushing the hype until such time that a huge percentage of people are involved and the price is constantly rising. As always, people will flock where there is money, and will just move to another fad that will create them even more money.

Cryptocurrency cant disappear that easy. Even if the big players are controlling the price, that doesnt mean their killing it. They know how to control and balance the market capitalization. They cant risks the profit that they can get with manipulating the market. If you notice when btc is about to crash real hard, it'll recover no matter what.

For me it's a good signs of cryptocurrency regulation, and if whales or big players controls the market I don't believe that they're killing it. Furthermore its their strategy in order that people who has gained good interest with bitcoin, will grab the chance to buy at lower market value. I guess you are basing with the past few months on what happened to the crypto market. It's unlikely to disappear, track down the past years on how this market grew quickly. And for the next five years? those who said that it's likely to disappear will just keep quiet and won't whine anymore.

The market will not just disappear. There are too much investors invested here, specially in bitcoin that will simply not happen and more and more countries are trying to adopt crypto. Crypto users do understand that the market is heavily volatile, that its value can drop rapidly, and because of this the confidence with the market will stay and market will not collapse or disappear.

For my own opinion, I don't think that this will what might happen in the five year after. Why? Because as the days goes by, the community of the crypto currency is keep on growing and as the times goes by, more and more people are reaching the information regarding crypto currencies and gain knowledge to understand better about it. I say no.  Crypto currency is not just a currency.  It is revolution.  Currency changing it's form from regulated ; limited to national boundary; controlled by banks to unregulated; boundary less; controlled by none; pear to pear transaction.

So we are witnessing revolution period.  Whenever something takes birth; it has to bear pain.  So the market is bearing pain of different types. 

Also we see the stocks trading market suffering from the same type of problems since the last several years.  But instead of dying it grew with every dip in the market.  So speculation; cheating etc could not make the end of stock market.  That is why I am sure crypto market will come out of all the difficulties it is facing.

This is one of my main concerns about the cryptocurrency market. Too many altcoins, and it will be hard to keep track of. That is why I believe that there should be some regulations which will allow only a specific number of cryptocurrencies in the space, and the rest can be token or some sort of digital asset to be used as a store value. Also, there needs to be wide range of education to investors, so that they know the basic difference between tokens and actually crytpocurrencies. For one a lot of people complain that there are a lot of currencies out there, making the market very unpredictable and unstable but most of them are actually tokens at the moment.

Not at all, cryptocurrency will remain the same and it will continue in decades as I believe that it will be more adopted in many countries soon. Due to the many ICO's coming, people's investment will be divided and that is why the growth of cryptocurrency is a bit slow. I think crypto market is still in the adjustment period since bear market is still mostly experienced. For as long as many people are still supporting cryptocurrency, definitely it will continue to thrive in the market.

         Based on my own perception, i am not really sure about it, since i am not also sure to what will happen in the next few years that will come, aside from that i cannot also predict the outcomebased on todays results, because there are tendencies that it will changes qnd varies the opposite of what we all think, but in the end i am also positive that it will still exist and continuously grow further.

It won't disappear as long as there are investors that are willing to shed their money and the cryptocurrencies are continue to be profitable despite many scam ICOs, shitcoins or vaporcoins. This is a tricky question because the term "bitcoin" is thrown about quite loosely and has been used to refer to a number of different things.
If you're referring to "Bitcoin" the cryptocurrency, I'm sure it'll still have users. I suspect the real question is how widely it'll be adopted because of its volatility.
If you're referring to blockchain technology, the technology is almost certainly here to stay.

Although it doesn't have much of real life implementation or usage it's still a crypto contenders for future.
The community is active, it's technology is growing and improving at steady pace. Recent lightning implementation could give a push over its strength against new ico or competiting coins.

speaking of volatility and adoption it is not a serious issue really. of course the volatility makes it harder to use it as a currency sometimes but there are enough other positive points about bitcoin that makes the volatility negligible.
volatility only becomes a concern when you are investing in it and you are new to the whole investing thing. and that doesn't change anything about bitcoin's adoption that will still happen regardless.

I believe cryptocurrencies are here to stay. Since the introduction of bitcoin in 2009, there have been several speculations on bitcoin and how unstable it is. Today, the market has really grown exponentially, in three to five years to come I see tremendous improvement in the digital currency market with the prices of the various Cryptos becoming relatively stable than it is today.

Bitcoin Market will never collapse except if people will give a reason to do it. Yes, their is so much wrong doing of human that can have a big effect in the cryptoworld such as Scamming other people, laundering and fraud and using bitcoin in illegal activities. I think this is the reason why bitcoin market could collapse. I see that as a good thing, the amount of altcoins that we have right now is unsustainable and yet more coins appear everyday and when the market cap of all the market grows this means there will be more money for scammers to take, this is the dotcom bubble all over again, where there was so much money in the market that investors began to invest their money in dubious projects.
