At the moment even the value of bitcoin is somewhat stuck within 6-7k. Do you guys think that there is any other crypto/coins are worth investing in and why?
 

There are many ICO projects still thriving and rising fast when they hit the floor. Quarkchain is not long ago. I do not know yet because it takes a lot of time.

All other altcoin is worthy of you investing in addition to bitcoin

Yes, btc is down and that is true for most of the bigger market cap coins. It's impossible to predict which of the smaller players will (possibly) breakthrough the noise but some options to look into are binance coin, stellar and omisego. Research on your own and come up with a list of contenders that you think are worthwhile. Everyone's views will differ--only your opinion matters in the end when it comes to this speculative market.

There are a plenty of good and great altcoin out there wait to be viewed and analized - the fact is there are so many that you basically do not have time to look deeply into it.

And you'll never know what will happen in near future...

If you have money to invest, you can always find good projects even in the altcoin world.
For example, after quite some time of falling, in the last 7 days Monero recovered from 0.0180BTC to 0.0214BTC.
What I want to say is that you have to find the right coin and the right time to invest and you also have to stay alert, since the overall market trend is still uncertain.

In my opinion, TGA is the best coin in terms of technology and development plan that the crypto market offers so far.

BTC is stuck with 6-7k usd,sometime btc below 6k usd,nobody can know BTC continues fall down and it will abot 5000-6000 usd or it will stable here,BTC can;t go up ti make altcoin can't go up,btc down 5-10% altcoin down 15-20%,i think we should hold BTC and ETH

 
For almost 1k plus coins/ cryptocurrencies i think aside from bitcoin there are coins which is worth to invest the problem is we dont give time into it,it is advisable to do research to know more the potentials of other coins.

When it comes to the short-term I believe that Bitcoin will perform well in terms of return on investment. On the other hand, I am bullish on ETH, Vechain, XRP for the long term and I am still in the process of doing research regarding alt-coins. Even though the market is still chaotic at this stage but things will start recovering soon.

The whole market is down nowadays and you will not get profit in this period of time but you will get profit in future by investing today in these tokens and coins because prices of all cryptocurrencies are down and they will all pump in future so this is the best time to buy coins.

Currently, bitcoin has been down during the past weeks and still at $6K where I notice no improvement in the price value. With this most of the altcoins were also affected because of this huge dips in the crypto market. However, this bear market seems to be just temporary and might improve in the coming months. Consider buying btc and alts since price are just cheaper right now. The following altcoins I think that have great potential are XYO, Immvrse and Impressio since these coins may pump probably within the coming months.

what does bitcoin price being $XXX have anything to do with whether you invest in an altcoin or not?

investing in altcoins requires a trader. and the experience that comes with it. if you are an experienced trader then you for it and start investing in altcoins, otherwise if you are not familiar with the pump and dumps that is always happening in the altcoin market then you should stay away from it.
and that has nothing to do with bitcoin price, it can be worth $1 or $10 million and still the answer is the same.

I don't know much about Tether, but ETH has some good future - but I love to stay with Bitcoins,

I think this topic will be on the Alt Discussion but as answer on this question related on BTC, BTC for me will be not be surpassed by other Cryptos or even token if possible. BTC is a blast of thousands of dollars while others can't surpassed a thousand why? maybe because it is one of the pioneers and maybe because there are so many people invest on it after new cryptocurrencies were created.

You should be BUYING in. They are all worth it.
If you have some favourite altcoin projects that you wanted to invest in. This is the time. The price is cheaper than 8, 9k like we had 1, 2 months ago.
If you don't have favourite projects just buy BTC and ETH.

There are plenty of altcoins to invest in. But for now, I think it's better to keep all your money in fiat, because the market is in downtrend.

ETH may be worth investing, because ETH's strong crypto currency meets and ETH is safer than other coins. I also invested in ETH

and the price still remains stuck between 6-7k and there no have good news capable of boosting an increase in price


Well, if you look at the current price of many cryptos, you will realize that these prices are very low and that when the price of bitcoin increase
these cryptos will also rise, so it is a good opportunity to buy some cryptos like: Neo, ETH , LTC and Dash.

It is generally not a rosy time for bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as price keeps falling. However, we have a very low price for majority of the cryptocurrencies at the moment. Therefore investing in bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies backed up by good team is a good idea since price is presently low.

It's like these popular coin has established a stable price for them. Though they would have occasional rise and fall, if you want to have real profit from cryptos you should go with the new projects. Not every or any random but the one you find worth it. For it, you need to give it a detailed research. After-all it's your money at stake.

Well mate, I think the next crypto / coins are worth to invest from bitcoin is Ethereum.  If bitcoin price gets down all altcoins will also go down. All altcoins  price are directly proportional to bitcoin. But Ethereum have the higher value. Even if the price down for us, the price is still promising in value.

Of course there are other altcoins besides BTC in which it is worth investing. There are quite promising projects like Stellar, Cardano, Ethereum Classic and so on. Generaly, I personally believe that the future belongs to the altcoins and some of them will become a major engine of the crypto market.

I'm thinking that whatever time we have now there is always something worth going on,  even when the Bitcoin is falling down there are still many of the projects who would go up instead.

My opinion is that in 2019 projects with decentralized exchanges will develop more intensively. So far, I do not like their development.

If you are adventurous, you should join the ICO. Bitcoin and altcoins almost relation to each other, so it is very difficult to give advice to you.

I think a really big part of the crypto world is full of useless trash coins.

In my opinion, if an altcoin can be really innovative, it can become a popular and desirable coin. And for now, bitcoin, ethereum, iota and neo are good coins, according to these parameters.

Bitcoin is still worth investing, when the price of market coin is down that is the right time and opportunity to invest, So you will follow the rule of buying at dip and selling at high.

All the cryptocurrencies are experiencing a drop in price at the moment. Bitcoin still remains the cryptocurrency to invest into because it is already established. However, there are other very good altcoin that one can invest into but you have to be sure about them.

My choice is decentralised exchanges ( Buterin has the same opinion) and blockchain 4.0 altcoins like Seele, Pchain, Quarkchain.

Yeah bitcoin is going down and it is taking other cryptos also down with it. We can see that alts are tightly coupled with BTC.

Many coins have already separated from bitcoin and the price does not depend on it.

Guys, be a positive, everything needs a time, you can choose from one thousands of very good coins and what is the best? That you can buy for the for last year's price! Imagine, if you know what will happen with crypto in mid 2017 ;).

Apart from tether you should take a look at coinbase news. Ethereum Classic has survived the storm due to to the coinbase listing. Anything that gets on coinbase pumps even more than getting listed on binance. Extreme market conditions however are just un-investable. Tether up and wait for a recovery

The current bearish market is a pattern that has repeated itself several time and I don't think that is strange to us the traders.  Those that know how investments work are buying now and are holding for the future just like as some people buy last three year and make great profits selling last year.

I think that now it is necessary to invest in coins that are promising, but they are falling in price. Because there is a great chance that when the market is stable these coins will rise in price.

All across the board, coins and tokens are at a discount price.
It really is the best time to buy up more coins.

As far as what you should by, well, that depends on what you think will have long term value.
If you don't know where to start, then first pick a category to look into that you think has value, like privacy coins, smart contract coins, or exchange tokens etc.
Then compare all of those types of coins together and buy up the one that you believe is the strongest and has the longest future.

As far as btc goes, it definitely is at a cheap price and it's good to buy now.
I personaly believe that btc has one or two more bull runs left in it, so there is a lot of profit that can be made short term.
I wouldn't bank on it long term though.
Eth will definitely last a lot longer than btc; after all, btc is already 9 years old.

Disagree, ETH can never last longer than bitcoin.

The market will remain stable in my opinion since we are not hearing about any new projects , markets or big companies that are adopting bitcoin as a payment method .. People are also afraid of both investing and selling their assets at low prices and no one can blame them for hodling .
What i do believe is that bitcoin will recover from this bearish market as soon as we approach Christmas and investing in a coin other than bitcoin , eth and Neo is a really risky move to do and the rest of the cryptos are somewhat depending of essentially bitcoin and eth because even tho the correlation in price isn't always logical , yet it is almost inevitable .

Interesting question :) When the price of bitcoin goes down - all altcoins go after bitcoin. Therefore, in this situation, to make money on investing in other altcoins will not work. In the future, in the long term of course it makes sense to invest in altcoins of the top 20.

No one can advise you altcoin which is guaranteed to grow relatively bitcoin, or at least somehow grow up.
I keep absolutely all the coins that I received in bounty companies and some coins from the top 20 that I bought on the stock exchange.
I hope that the market will sooner or later start to grow.

Investing in crypto currency should be taken as a long term investment, if you are looking to invest for a long term and then BTC is a good investment at the moment because the price is down.

Well are you looking for the long term investment or short term? At this point there are some good investments available but I think market is going to go down more. I can only suggest bitcoin.

Sure there are good cryptos now when you look market you will see that good crypto are gaining both to btc and fiat
if you are looking for good alts than better is coin already established on market
Any new one even good one needs to find his value price first so at begining will be pumped and dumped

Coins for investing a large set, it is important to understand why you need to invest in them. Coins are the same stock. So there is a company developing, and the price of these shares is growing. For example coin BNB Binance. Now it costs 10$ And it is worth the coin in a falling market 3$/ And it will still grow. Read the news for this exchange.

The situation with the prices of cryptocurrencies is not limited to Bitcoin alone. All of the are currently down and you can only base your investment on speculations because it is difficult to specifically confirm any cryptocurrency that has the potential to earn you huge returns on your investment at the moment.

The big question is... how long could it all possibly go?? How low will these "institutional buyers" push BTC? I've heard 5k, 4.5k, 3.5... and even as low as a grand!!

The number of crypto makes it less effective and abandoned by the community. The rest can be for permanent residents, and a certain period will be added so that the value increases.

I have known couple of people who came to cryptocurrency just because they have been told that this wil bring them fortune,but didn't tell them about the fundamentals and the risk they might encounter here

Other coin that is good investment is ethereum and its technology and team are stronger. So my suggestion is buy ethereum at this point of time when its prices are low. Other good altcoins are IOTA, stellar, cardano, neo, siacoin etc.

Altcoins are worth investing like Ethereum. Even though we see the the price or value of ETH is less than 80% of its value last January 2018, it is a contender to be a top cryptocurrency next to BTC. It is also the 2nd most used cryptocurrency every day. Most ICOs are based on Ethereum blockchain. It has a better transaction speed and fees than BTC. In a matter of years, ETH will overcome BTC because of its features. Right now is the best time to invest in altcoins because of its values at low price.

Altcoins are worth to invest in. Altcoins have good technology and still in beta right now. I believe they will be big in the future and grow in price.

It worths to invest in oax now, while bitcoin stucks in 6-7k all altcoins continuously decrease so there are better investment opportunities. OAX also not a hype coin.

many cryptos have the potential and even many look for this time. ethereum could become a good selection to choose from. or maybe the ripple has also become a sometimes surprising crypto as only late last year. It may be a few pictures could have been taken because of the potential he has.

I believe there are good altcoins out there, aims mass adoption with real use cases.
