Title: Facebook Renoucing Ban on Crypto Ads
Post by: DamCryp on June 27, 2018, 07:15:14 PM
This is good, and I believe will help fuel the next bull run. I do see the signs for a huge move, this good news for crypto just keep piling up, the last news will be a Btc etf announcement, can't wait for the ride up, these institutions sure are taking a long time to have their positions ready.

It is certainly helpful and i believe it will help us achieve an ATH for BTC and many alts. Although it may increase scams, hopefully facebook will do research in to those that advertise on their site first

I read it today in a article and a local youtuber also talked about it.If it's true it's really gonna change the whole crypto space. But I can't really understand why they ban and then again open it.Is that a bear game? Is mark juckerberg filled his pocket with cheap coin :P . Whatever it is in my opinion it will surely help for bull run for what we waited long. :)

I do not think that this will contribute to the change of trend in the cryptocurrency market.  Here, institutional investors, not representatives of social networks, decide everything.

it can't hurt though, mass adoption is needed for sure for crypto to last in the long run

Even though they have banned this before, I was always seeing crypto related ads on my Facebook timeline. So I think their ban wasn't that effective.

They have big problems with the government. They have a very strong impact. What we see is the result of this impact. A base for further actions is being prepared, but the true motives are not clear.

I've been seeing crypto ads since the ban was made. I guess the ban was made to limit the scams that were becoming too common.  Anyway it's a good thing.  At least others might follow suit which will help the price of cryptos to rise.

Thanks for the hint about the bull run but I'll focus with the news about bitcoin crypto ad ban being modified by facebook. Very good news as it is so interested retailers who are mainly focused with bitcoin and exchanges, casino's that wants to keep on promoting through them will now have a chance to advertise. There are some twist now that they have to follow or fill up a form until they will be approved by the facebook management itself.

Even though they have banned this before, I was always seeing crypto related ads on my Facebook timeline. So I think their ban wasn't that effective.
Before the ban I keep on seeing but I guess the ban has been effective, those ICO related ads are gone to my wall.

A Bitcoin ETF announcement would definetely be huge, but I don't think we will see it that soon. Not even sure we will see it this year. As for Facebook renouncing it's ban on adds I don't even know what to say. It doesn't look very good on them, and I still haven't heard these news, so I don't know what was the reason behind it. I don't think it will have a major impact on the markets though, because it's something that should have no impact on the price of already existing coins.

I know the price has fallen when these bans happened, but I think this was just a timed dump riding those news, and not a normal reaction of the markets.

I think this is good. Because it helps cryptocurrency grow more widely and people are not afraid to join. This facilitates the development of crypto. Good news will help the market grow without any abnormal pumps.

It was worth expecting that the bulls will push their rules and this is only a matter of time when the money will start to create even more money. I expect more information attacks from bulls to get the maximum explosive trend.

Come on the current bouncing is not because of the face booking lifting the bans from the crypto advertisement. I know there has to be some impact of that because it is big platform and big platforms calls for more and more attendees with them. But that is implied to the investment in the ICO's and bounties and thus it is al about the altcoins which are yet to be formed or listed over the exchangers.
However that is good news for those platforms. Its not related to the bitcoin itself and whatever moves it is taking right now.

They simply cannot lose out from revenue being generated from the crypto space, but I still like how they have decided to go about it. It is not like they have completely opened it up fully, but to be able to run any ICO ad now, you will have to at least show you are legitimate enough to carry out an ICO, which means a lot of documents may be requested for and verifications will be done before being given any approval.

It is a good thing and not just about the bull run as you mentioned, as that simply does not look like a news that is meant to have any serious impact or effect on the market movement anyway, but at least, when it comes to cleaning up the space from scam adverts, it is a good way forward for investors to be rest assured they are clicking on ads of verified companies running ICO.

Hope this is a strategic move, because from where we stand, it seems to defeat the whole purpose of the ban.

It is a popular talk that facebook is going to issue his own cryptocurrency and I guess this can be the cause of the revoking of the ban that was placed on crypto ads.

Well said. The thing with most people like the OP is that they are more glued to the idea of expecting a bull run every single moment that they tend not to look at other bright side of things instead. The ad space being banned for ICOs never affected the market in anyway as it was bound to drop after the last bull run which was uncalled for and manipulated with a lot of FOMOs kicking in.

When it comes to the ad space cleaning like you have said, this is a good move and a support from Facebook to show how much they are willing to see the space grow but with some policies to reduce or eliminate scams completely.

Facebook has come to the realization that cryptos are unstoppable. There is information that Facebook wants to launch its own cryptocurrency. There is another version that Facebook wants to buy coinbase. Be that as it may, it is a good one for the crypto adoption.
