How will you earn merit in bitcoin?

As far as i know, we can earn merit if you post or comment a meaningful and helpful comments and not out of the topics, meaning it is commendable. Second, it is easier to earn if you are not involve yet to a campaign.

Merit in bitcointalk is a reward to your effort from contributing well to a post but it has turn to a thing of privacy which can be given to anyone they know , because I use to see many comment and post that does not even deserve comment but been giving merit .

So I advice to always make a good comment and post it will come your way one day because so many people have good comment and post but have no merit till now with 100+ or even more post and comment. Just do your best and contribute meaningful comment to the community may be one day you can have it, good luck.

If you make a good post and people in above hierarchy likes that post, they may grant you 1 merit. This is how this works and there is no other option. So impress them all with the magic of your hands and get the merits :P :D

Get a measure is an unattainable dream. Therefore, we work and earn pennies since the appearance of the merit

What's problem with merit system ? I have visited your profile. You have not yet post your own. All reply you have given that's look like pure spam. Most of reply on bounty thread. So how you are expect merit? Let me know what are useful post on your profile that you are deserve merit ? You just come here for earn money. Nothing els.

How will you earn merit in bitcoin?

First of all, you're not earning merits over Bitcoins but Bitcointalk (this forum)! Don't adjoin both of them together as they're not related to each other in any way.

Second, if you're interested in earning merits, stop thinking about it and start working here by learning more and more, gain better knowledge about each of the concepts here that you see and try to understand what does it literally mean. That's how you will EARN merits, by working for them being completely selfless. People here give good merits to posts that possess an information that is much better and newer or at least more informative than others, so don't worry. Forget about them and just put more efforts in improving your quality as well as make on-topic posts.

It is merit in bitcointalk but I don't think there is a merit in bitcoin. Merit is earned base on your output on this forum by posting a quality and educated post which will earn you the merit by people who have it in stocks.

I figure you mean Bitcointalk ...

Actually, being concerned with what Merit is and how it is awarded on this forum right from the start is good, since you can avoid many of the common errors made on this forum, which head you completely in the opposite direction.

The basics that you need to grasp is that, in order to be awarded Merit, your posts need to stand out a bit from the average post, transmitting something that seems constructive, interesting, controvertíal, knowledgeable, or whatever it may be. The important thing is to focus is on investing time on your posts, and not posting just in order to increase your activity. Documenting yourself and being able to give a personal view on a given subject is appreciated, whilst non-contributive onliners will never ever get you any merit.

Bear in mind that all your posts count, helping to build your persona through your posting history. That is very often looked at by merit awarders, so even if you make a decent post, having a crappy posting history will likely get you nowhere.

Do not post in megathreads, as they are considered basically spam threads and merit awarders rarely go into those swaps at all. Visibility is a feature, and good posts in megathreads will render invisible.

99,9% of the times, bounty hunting is an enemy of merit. Unless you are rather exceptional, here again a posting history constructed by multiple bounty reports says very little for your persona, and you will very likely be ignored meritwise. If bounty hunting is your core goal, forget merit altogether, as you will never receive enough to rank up.

There is an overall shortage of sensible merit in my opinion (founded on what I’ve seen through statistics). This is also an increasing opinion amongst the higher ranks, but so is the fact that there is a lot of spam all over the forum. Spam will likely bury some good posts, but you need to stand out a bit to be merited since merit is rather picky, possibly due to it’s scarcity.

In summary, put effort into your posts. A decent amount of effort will likely be spotted, but no effort is just skipped at the speed of light.

Merit awarders are not magical creatures that roam the forum. They are people like you and me, and award merit because they believe it helps the forum overall to contain spam amongst other things. This is rather time consuming, so all in all this works both ways, as meriters would rather find decent posts to merit than waste their time.

A full explanation of how merit is generated can be found here: re:Who can award merits (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4468782.msg40078982#msg40078982).

When we talk about Merits in Bitcointalk.org we are referring to:

1. Merit - the credit we need to rank up (Visit Meta board for it)
2. Merit - now we have project that will be having their coin with "merit"

How will you earn merit
You need to write exceptional posts that people will reward merit that you will receive.
It sounds like hard thing to do, but more you know about bitcoin and more you are here on forum chances of doing that without thinking increases greatly.
Be helpfull and respectfull and you will be legendary member in no time :)

How will you earn merit in bitcoin?

Getting a merit should need an extensive research and would need a very helpful and effective post of all. Thus, it would speak on the whole issue, suggestion, and guide to this forum and the community. However, recently some of those high ranks would have to make a merit on their less rank account in order to attain the highest level; thus, even when the post is not as quality as it should be. So, right now, there are flaws on who gets the merited.

Meaningful and helpful posts will get merit. Don't spam, read more and post less.

Actually, more like the magic of your brain, your hands will only type what your brain comes up with ;D ;D ;D  and true, you have to write something meaningful and relative to the topic been discussed and with some luck someone might see it and merit that for you  ;)

For the OP,
I don't answer your question directly because there are lots of available answers for you.

Firstly, if you know how to use Search function of the BT forum or Searching Tools like Google, you can find available answers for you.
Then, you won't have to create a new topic to ask for help like this.
This is a topic which created to help using Search Function more efficiently.
[Tips] Guide for forum search  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3127909.0)

These ones will help you to discover essential things of the forum:
- Newbies – Read before posting (Lauda) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1689727.0)
- Unofficial list of (ocfficial) bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0)

There are several helpful topics:
- Different ways to earn merits (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3167134.0)
- TMAN's guide to getting merits (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3182178.0)
- Full Member thanks to merit system (iasenko) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3174862.0)
- etc. There are obviously more helpful topics, which you can find them by yourself.

Bonus:
It is a collective topic from @LoyceV. You should spend minutes or hours to find out:
[GUIDES] on Bitcointalk. Index thread (until there is a dedicated subforum?) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4928968.0)
There are also different approaches to 'legally' earn merits:
- Contributing to the forum discussions with constructive, helpful, on-context uniqe - if possible - threads. (sounds boring, right? I believe it is one of the most boring recommendations because you can see it many times in the forum).
- Making statistical analysis on many aspects of the forum. For example: Merit distributions, merit abusements, data storage sources for later use, etc.
- Etc.
