Title: List of profit-switching mining pools for scrypt-based cryptocurrencies
Post by: chirale on February 08, 2014, 09:51:33 PM
Hello everybody,

I decided to create a list of the current profit-switching mining pools for scrypt-based currencies, because I was struggling to understand what was available! I will keep this list as a first post and try to update it on a regular base. Feedback is vital, so please let me know if you are aware of other pools or features I should include. Under sha-256 I have listed the pools that also offer profit-switching for sha-256 cryptocurrencies. The list is in alphabetical order.

Note: The aim of this thread is NOT to find out which is the best pool, but to keep a comprehensive list of pools that allow profit-switching mining.

(*) Progressive fee: depends on how good the pool performs in a given day. Fee during bad days is as low as 1%.

When you see n/a on the list it mean I don't have this piece of information. I have sent PMs to most of the pool contacts to fill these gaps, but if any of you already knows the answer, please feel free to post it (or PM me) and I'll update it.

Excellent list! Nicely done.

Just need to space out the table a bit.

I don't make auto sell. It's LOSE-LOSE scheme and almost always users stay disappointed. Cryptsy has auto-sell option, so it's simple to make it yourself and it costs 0.1% only!

I don't understand why no one don't see CoinMinePW. :)
I have made best multi coin pool any one dreamed (ok, I have dreamed about such pool) last several years.
It perfectly works, it's 0% fee now, it actively developing to make perfect every byte code.
Any one can send me suggestions and get pool he dreamed last years. Almost everything is possible to code now.
But almost no one just don't see it. (thanks guys who supports me and write something like:

Honestly, I would change much to your website because it's straight to the point and fast.  I've been on graphical multicoin miners but it can be confusing, laborious and too graphical.
---
If you built this pool software/web site by yourself "My Hat is Off to You" as we say in Amerika!
It resembles nothing else out there!!  Most pools use those "cookie cutter" Pool Software packages leaving a lot to be desired!  I LOVE your Multi-Pool setup!  I come in, check to see which coins look good for mining at that time and "Click/Click/Click" I switch that quickly!  Very well done!
---

Ok. Stop whining, it time to add some more futures!  :)

PS: List is really good.

Well, you need to think about the majority of miners out there. Take me as an example: Even though I spend most of my time infront of a monitor, I really don't wanna do it staring and looking for most profitable coins, so that after it I'll mine until they aren't profitable (which also requires constant checking) and than I need to send em to my Cryptsy wallet, which also takes time, only to sell it for a coin of my choosing, which can also take a while (depending on your settings), and after that send it back to my own wallet.

All of this, might yield more money (not by a lot though) but would consume excessive amount of time IMO, so when you compare it to auto trading pools like MiddleCoin, it just ain't worth it.

I rather set my miner to a pool and get paid in 1 coin only, don't care what coins it's mining as long as the profit is to my satisfaction.

If this doesn't make much sense to you than know you aren't alone. I am a programmer in nature and when I did my first UIs, I made em very very functional, BUT, they were completely NOT user friendly, which made common users skip my program. Took me a while to understand that it all comes down to how simple AND smart you make it.

which one is better?

I was using hash.so, its really good (its just bad not auto-switch yet).

Yesterday i tested some auto-switch pools that pays in BTC:

-middlecoin.com (had a huge problem yesterday and got offline not counting while i was testing) - difficulty 1024 (high, my 320 kh/s rig will do nothing on it)

-clevermining - using now, testing yet, seems the better so far, difficulty 512 but will move to 16-1024 auto soon. Even better.

-coinsolver - used while i was sleeping, seems very low profity (150mh/s pool hard to find dogecoin high difficulty coins, thats why), hard to use it, loosing money.

-megamultipool - used for awhile, good has port 80. but was mining some bad coins, its auto coin choose aint that good.

-waffle - good stats, can choose from 64 to 1024 difficulty (very good), but profity and stats were not accurate by the time i tested, not sure if its a good pool.

what you guys thinks? what pool should i use and just wait for my BTC to arrive? need some advice, ty

I got today 4 rigs: 200 khs (firewalled, need port 80), a 320 khs, a 740 khs and a 1450 khs. Total 2,7 Mh/s.

Honestly and truly, thank you! I have been waiting for someone to do this for quite some time.  I was actually have done with this information myself in excel to share with everyone, but then my computer restarted for updates  >:( and I was too busy and cynical to redo everything.

That being said, if you wanted to make this thread truly comprehensive:

megamultipool.com
tompool.org
multipool.us

all offer sha256 currency profit switch mining

megamultipool and tompool have scrypt also

Great post!

Wow CoinMine.pw's stats on Mh/s averages over the last 24 hour's are impressive.  I might have to check out some of the others sites.

Middlecoin has been productive for me, but man is their lack of stats disappointing (yes I know there are other stat pages for middlecoin).

Thank you! cryptopros.com now on the list!

Scratch that, theres http://coinshift.com/ They are unique as they rank the most profitable coins, and spread the hash rate across the most profitable ones, with bias toward the more profitable ones. This avoids difficulty jumps, and forks.

Great topic.

Please add another column to show if any pool has Hashrate distribution or not. Since this is important in profitability these days.

Yes, if I understand the chart correctly, it looks like that rise up in middle of the day is either a good sell of some crypto on the market (price goes up) or the difficulty on some cryptos was lowered significantly.
I will stay for another few days and post more pics.

Well, I've just printed the screen - no data was biased (except the wallet address was partially deleted).
It was my first mining day with the multipools. The other rigs I have, have been mining on CleverMining, Waffles and MegaMultipool. I can give you some statistics as well, the rigs are the same.

trademybit.com, port 3330 for scrypt, port 2220 for n-scrypt (but just Vertcoin & GPUcoin, PANDA now disabled - no open buy orders on any exchange)

Scrypt-n coins has KGW to decrease multipool profitability on them

I really hate to revive such an old thread, but in my brief research this seems like a great resource to keep updated.  If there is a better resource out there, can anyone point me in the right direction?  Most of the links provided are broken or expired.

hahahaha! Definitely an old thread, I barely remember when I started it!
I saw this thread flagging again, and wondered "what the hell is going on!?!!"
I am afraid not sure what is out there anymore, but this seems good!

good luck!

Bump

I agree with many of those old pools gone, and so many news to mining would be good for someone to compile a 2018 list.
I would take it on, but spread so this as it is - maybe a joint effort from this community would be a point to start.
* as somewhat of a novice in this space ( only 7 months ) the better autoswitch pools we use are below, please add yours guys
* in order imo from best to worst

Hash-To-Coins.com
Multipool.us
Zpool.Ca

Prohashing - but a rip off, taking 30% fees or more from our research
