Title: Why is the market so sluggish?
Post by: enenmom on June 28, 2018, 05:44:17 PM
I was panicked for the first time. The entire market is declining. ETH will reach 350 US dollars?
The first few days of the market made me panic. I dare not use funds. Is the bubble really coming? Or other reasons affect market prices? Does anyone know why this is?

ETH is $437 right now how are you panicking if that price was months ago? are you sure that you are looking at its price?

How long have you been investing to ethereum?

Is the bubble really coming?
No.

Or other reasons affect market prices?
Yes. Manipulation and panic sellers.  :D

Does anyone know why this is?
Only chosen people.

Why panic when it is clear the market is  been driven  by whales who come in to drive prices to the level that interest them. I will urge you to continue to hold your ether or other cryptocurrencies and wait till some few months, things will turn to normal.

Because many people sell bitcoin and altcoins in large quantities, so for stock altcoins still a lot. And the more hackers who break down a giant company like NASA, from news I read NASA successfully hacked and hackers mission it to get 1 million bitcoin for the auction.

A combination of market manipulation by big money and whales, weak hands, too many scam/pump and dump coins, and FUD.

Definately market manipulation and now no new money dares to come in. Only long term holders are probably averaging down.

Then good, why? We need to passed this panicking situation on our own for us to be called a crypto users. The entire market are in many instances have declined since its beginning then what’s the difference. Then your good again not using any funds now and that is also called HODLing and most users does that in this days. Normal reasons like demands is low and supply are high. No worries.

This has been happening since Bitcoin has come out. If you go back and look, Bitcoin hit almost $1300 and then dropped all the way back down to almost $220 before finally climbing back up and then hit almost $20k. So, It's pretty much typical. A little bit of manipulation is the cause.

Now no one knows the exact reasons, but perhaps this is due to the fact that it is summer and many people are resting on their dachas or fly to different countries.

The massive btc dumps seem to have stop for now, but at the same time there's no buying pressure meaning we don't have any upward movements, because of this we're now in some some sort of 'sluggish/boring phase' where nothing's happening in the market, just minor fluctuations here and there.

ETH will reach 350 US dollars?
maybe, maybe not.

i think if BTC keeps bleeding, ETH will really go down to $350. But so far, ETH maintains its price well. At least keeps $400, although BTC is $6000.

Indeed, and result is dumping market. Its ok to panic, but don't make any decision without analysing the market. This will not last forever and a bull market will be created again by the whales so small investors will come in. Sad to see the market situation right now, better not to look at it evert single minute.

I think that volatiles chart are make some of us start to confuse. Like or not this is how the decentralised market are work, we cant control the price or something. No one know ETH will reach 350 or can rise up to 1000, but I hope that this years the price will be litle bit more stable than before. For me it is just like the effect of huge pump last year, the price are make dip correction.

panic is a natural thing for investors who first experienced adverse conditions in the market, we can only predict about the price and I think there is a possibility for ETH price drops to $ 350 but that possibility is low for me, maybe bubbles broke this time but I think it will come,  and it will be bigger than previous bubbles, FUD is the main reason for the fall in prices in recent months, I can only suggest you keep calm and Hodl

Now most people panic, they all lose and do not know how it will end. Yes the price of the air is about 400 dollars, but  it is acceptable to continue to keep their investments, and the meaning is to go out with a mass loss.

If you have weak nerves you do not need to go every day and check the market. The summer period over the past few years is constantly showing a collapse. But it's not just the holiday season. According to some experts, the price of bitcoin and the market as a whole is very strongly tied to bitcoin futures. Whales for a long time without profit will not sit - waiting for another crash and after takeoff. We fix the profit and leave before the new takeoff. So follow the dynamics and make the right conclusions.

Maybe if there's a whale who can admit that he's doing this manipulation we can answer this last question of yours, but since we don't have any idea maybe the only thing that we can do right now is assess and speculate if the trend will continue to fall or it will bounce back again, currently ETH is losing some more value 417$ almost nearing to what you expect, two things can be done, keep buying or stay away, this time it's between real investors and the risk takers to decide whether to keep chasing or stop for a while.

the bubble has already come! that is why the prices are still going down. it is the bubbles bursting now that you are seeing. the problem is that instead of price going down as fast as it went up, the drop is being slowed down a lot and that makes it last much longer.

for example instead of ETH going back down to $100 in 2 months, it is taking 8-9 months maybe a year to get there.
but there are smaller altcoins that had to go down to something like $1 from $50 and they did that in about 3 weeks. and because of that these coins are not rising up. we had one a couple of days ago that went up from $1 to something about $20 just because it had its dumping phase finished.

Market is always going to be sluggish when there is no signal for smart moneys to enter the market. We are still in a downtrend and anyone entering any position in the market right now is simply gambling and should be ready to accept the consequences if the market should go lower. Smart moneys wait for the best signal, and since whales are the ones who call the shot, no one would want to be the victim of their manipulations. So, it is better to always try to stay safe than to stay sorry, which obviously explains the present volume in the market as to how low it has become.

I do not think you need to panic because of the recent situation of market because this will only help you to take wrong decisions that may be at very big loss rather be patient because the market will recover and the price will be high again. I do not see any bubble coming because crypto is not a bubble. I think some of the things affecting the price of crypto is price manipulation by those that have highest shares in the coin and secondly, those that sell because they panic.

This is indeed not good, but nevertheless it hasn't yet determined that crypto is getting drowned and has no good future, I think in essence here is that crypto is in a lot of attacks and then it shines again. Still believing that the cryptocurrency still has a good future that in the future will get a lot of good greeting, further than a lot of certain negative actions such as scams etc.

The reason why market is so sluggish now is that people are not transacting in the BTC because you may send or receive either BTC 148 or BTC legacy. And imagine the coin that you are holding becomes worthless tomorrow. So people are waiting to see what happens. If one BTC is not moving then it will be so sluggish

The bubble already came and there is really no need for anyone to be panicking for no reason at all.
As far as I am concerned right now, we are still in the corrective phase and the bear trend is still on. When we get to see cases like this, it is normal to see the movement to keep getting sluggish as we keep moving down, most especially when there is uncertainty and it is normal.

As long as there is a signal to detect some activity, it would be normal to see how market movement will increase.

Common question would be asked by those people who are new into this very volatile market which it isnt really surprising on my part to see this one.
As of writing ETH is on $450 and anytime it can decline or rise up its price and so as with bitcoin too but the question is on when? Well, no one really knows on what would happen on next minute, hours, days, weeks or months or years. Market can be volatile in an instant or would somehow moving on sideways.

Due to the lack of confidence in the market today because they do not want to be in a down market condition and remain patient and waiting for a good price, there is nothing to worry about in principle the market will experience ups and downs. then it will not continue to grow and spoil the greedy people, the journey will not continue like this then enjoy the rest of the bear market, there is only the advantage to buy cheaply, is not a disaster.

The confidence of investors in the cryptocurrency market has diminished dramatically in the past few months as the entire cryptocurrency market plummets so it takes time to regain confidence in investors. I think in the late months of 2018 will be the decisive stage of the future of the cryptocurrency market in the coming years.

Throughout the first months of 2018, amid the volatility and rebound, investors turned to Bitcoin as a safe haven. With the highest liquidity and the highest volume in the global market, Bitcoin has been able to maintain its stability while many other digital coins have fallen freely. Most properties have fallen more than 80% from its unprecedented highs, and have struggled to follow the gains in the Bitcoin couple.

Yes, the only concern anyone can do is to learn how they can get the best out of the market rather than being a victim of whales’ manipulation. So far, the market has gotten terribly bad and it may even go down the more, but rather than panic because of that, one can use it as a means to get the best value and hold on to it patiently.

At least, holding the dip is far better than holding right from when the drop started at the peak. This market may seem like so sluggish but not for all the people who are trading with skills. Yes, if trade with skills and know what we are doing in the name of trading then there will be no issues about sluggish market conditions.

Basic reason for market sluggishness was low volume, second factor was panic selling by new and enthusiastic investors, third factor was the conservative behavior of serious investors and stake holders may be because they wanted to find the exact bottom or were scared of regulation stuff before taking any new entry, i think most of the fud has gone from the market and we will start to see reversal of market from here.

One of many reasons that why the market is falling is that some countries are banning cryptocurrencies which really affected the price of cryptocurrencies. Second is that cryptocurrency is highly volatile market which makes it less suitable for those who want to invest in a stable income offering sector. The speculations on the buying and selling of Bitcoin affect the supply and demand of cryptocurrencies which ultimately affects the price.

I do not agree with you a little, because only certain coins are a soap bubble. So it can be said about Bitcoin, but not about those coins that represent certain services or goods for society. Proceeding from this, it is the demand and benefit for humanity that determines the prospects of each crypto currency.

The market will go through cycles, what you own is still what you own. I think its good to research into a bit of ICOs that are promising for the future.
Here are a few great options.
TIP Blockchain aims to create the most user-friendly and easy to use platform in the cryptocurrency economy, that connects businesses to end users, and removes the technical barriers that users face today when using cryptocurrency.

Daostack IO powers decentralized companies, funds and markets to make fast and innovative decisions at scale. Basically an operating system for collective intelligence.

Deedcoin is a cryptocurrency that will simplify real estate. Deedcoin customers use DEED to decide what to pay in commission costs when purchasing or selling a home, lowering the traditional 6% fee to 1%.

Market started declining in late December when Bitcoin crossed 19k USD and we have been witnessing a major correction since that time. if I recall quite well ether touched $1,397 on Jan 14th 2018 and since then it is yet to recover. There are people who bought at $1397 and they're holding while some have sold off.The current sluggish market or bearish market is because confidence in the market has crashed and more weak hands never stop selling.

The market become sluggish because many of the investors sell and trade their altcoins for the price of the crypto is becoming all green right now that is why the price in the market is becoming volatile it is because of the investors that are selling and trading their altcoins. The price in the crypto market is becoming good, if the price pump then there are many who will sell and trade their altcoins, but if the price is dump then there are many who will invest because many can buy and they can afford the price if it is pump then no one will buy cause some of the investors cannot afford or there money is not enough to buy some altcoins. That is why some other people wait for the price to dump so that they can afford the price and there money is enough to buy some altcoins.

The first few days of the market made me panic. I dare not use funds. Is the bubble really coming? Or other reasons affect market prices? Does anyone know why this is?
For now the market is recovering steadily so am sure thinks might just pickup before the end of the year as most are predicting 1k plus on ETH

Sluggish market is the effect of more panic investors, and more day traders played along with the current outbreak of sudden price increase, so generally it really depends on how each and everyone figure out their current holdings. There's lots of trader engaged themselves in the current fluctuations, making their coins as a tool for growing their holdings that could attract possible traders to bid for investing new holdings.

All the hype has to die before it can organically grow again. And that growth will be slow. As it grows it might gain hype and those weak hands will be back looking to throw dumb money again.

But the bubble of 2017 is the exception. Not the rule.

Because investors are always afraid. They suffered a huge loss when the bitcoin price slid from 19800$ to 6,000$. Their psychology is still that bitcoin prices will plunge to 2000-3000$ so the market is gloomy and can not go up.

cryptocurrency is a very unstable market that makes it less suitable for those who want to invest in a stable revenue-generating sector. Speculation about the purchase and sale of Bitcoin affects the supply and demand of cryptocurrency which ultimately affects the price.

Things are still a bit sluggish after the huge burst we had last year as the market has to pick itself back up and shake itself off. It's hard to move so much in so little time. Everything has to correct itself eventually.

I think a lot of it is sit and wait for new investors. The ones who got in at the top are praying it'll get back up there again, and the ones who haven't got in yet are looking for a good reason. They want to have evidence of it being a valid investment before risking the unknown.

I do not think ETH will have a second time back to 350. The market is having better sound in about 10 days. Although it has more modest growth than April. But the market tends to grow in Q3. I am more optimistic in September - October and above all, the backward awareness and weak psychology from investors are hurting the market and greatly influencing the trend.

Each time we have fallen from a lesser height. Think about it as a tuning fork sine wave. The first wave is the largest so the rise and falls are the fastest. And as the height of the rise and falls decreases but frequency stays the same the amount dropped over time will be less. The next rise and fall will be even less exiting then this one because the amplitude should be less.

The market is sluggish because people have lost confidence in the cryptocurrency. A lot of people lost money, everybody knows that. It will take a lot of effort to lure the crowd. This requires a lot of time, perhaps more than one year.
of course the current situation is very bad, But on the other hand people themselves are to blame for their oversight. Always talked about the fact that the crypto currency is a huge risk, but for some reason, many users rushed to invest their funds in late 2017. I know that some even sold their personal homes, just to buy Bitcoin.

Actually it is fine to refer to the market phase as a bubble,,, real estate markets have frequent bubbles, as the same with developing markets, where growth is very big but contractions are also quite extreme. This is why people invest in small economies and things like real estate to get the big gains, and exit before the bubble pops, and enter again when the bubble is growing.

Wait for the next bubble, everyone!

It is very clear why this is happening, after the bubble at the end of the year of 2017 people began losing confidence in cryptocurrencies especially those that only entered in this market to speculate with the price and that lost a great deal of their capital, you need to understand that investors invest an amount of money that probably took them years to save and if you lose it then you're not going to get that amount of money in just a few months and even if you could many people will choose not to invest in cryptocurrencies.

There is a global mistake, so it will be most logical to wait for the economies to arrive and there will be good days for the investors who know not to wait.

Of course, you can not enjoy the possibility of quick enrichment for long, when investing in the crypto currency of the pitfalls here, as in other areas of investment,

I think new investors are waiting for the logical completion of the correction, and the beginning of growth, as well as many froze their assets after buying more than 10 thousand%, and until they reach the breakeven, they will not take any action. Because now we are moving on small volumes

the market is moving slowly now I think because the correction is happening.
if we see in 2017 there is a pump all over the alt coin and I think this year will be the effect that happened in 2017.

I do not remember so long corrections. I suppose this is the event which has another name. As I understand, now the bearish and the bullish trends have been fighting. No one of them gives up which slows the market.

we must be sure that the market will return to its original state, but the current market situation is still felt by many people, so many people also feel panic when the market is in a downturn, because we cannot guess the market decline properly.

The market was very crazy in 2017, which led to the downturn in this year's market, which may take a long time to recover. The market always has ups and downs.

Now the price of the altcoin is decreasing, however I find that many people have abandoned altcoins, because they fear the market will collapse, maybe only in the short term the price of coins will rise, you are still mind holds them

It's because some bears has come and put the prices down and some people panicked and started to sell everything they have for a really low price. But it will pass away believe me.

why should you be afraid when prices are falling like this, all of this is normal and need not be feared. why invest in an altcoin if the tip ends. indeed before we invest in the altcoin it would be nice to think about it in the future so that we will not regret it when we have just been abandoned.

You don't have to understand it you just need to recognize that the panic is there and act accordingly, panic is not something that you can understand with reason it's a feeling, and when people think that the market is going down very rapidly and that they are going to lose money if they do not sell their coins that is when panic appears, however I do not agree with you that you will only need to wait a few months for things to go back to normal we will probably have to wait for years.

The market is always luggish during the summer when people sell their crypto holdings for their holiday. The same happened last year when altcoins don't have much volume and price move sideways. Furthermore, the situation is worse as crypto is in a bear market and even lesser people are buying compared to last year.

Crypto currency is transparent, speed, cost, simplicity. It can not be changed or faked, because the process is confirmed by hundreds of thousands of computers around the world.

Because the number of people leaving the market is quite large, which will lead to market capitalization is always down, so the price of the coin continuously down, in my opinion should not hold electronic money in the long run, because of the risk of collapse

I think the panic for those who invested in the beginning of the year no longer exists because it survives until now is a very tiring achievement and we are waiting for the market pumps and bubbles at the end of this year otherwise we will have to wait in 2019 later
