Hey guys,

I need a little help. I hope to be able to recover my original BitcoinTalk account this way.

Today, I've discovered I am unable to login with my credentials, only to later learn my account has made a few posts that weren't made by me and had its signature changed as well.

This is the account profile: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=225266 And here is a thread we're while in possession of the account posted about TX a1918331a35f912c1744d1a895817eb82a7f8a12b453fb7501390d1799965a07 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2543522.msg25941065#msg25941065 - so when you lookup up the transaction, there is evidence that the aforementioned account belongs to the owner of the above message signed with the private key for 13XhcHkVo9akBu8J2NSZyTthiDqVABHB5g (the input address of the transaction).

I am not 100% sure on the E-Mail address used with that account prior to the incident, since at least it feels I've created it ages ago.

Any help much appreciated.

however a posted txid doesn't explicitly show ownership of any related address
you need a staked address with previously signed message in Stake your Bitcoin address here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996318.0) thread
or a receiving address stated and explicitly claimed ownership by you in old post

that txid shows 13XhcHkV... as an output not an input
the new rawtx indeed uses 13XhcHkV... utxo as input,
but again I'm not sure if this sufficient enough to proof corelation between the account and that btc address

Thanks for the feedback. Did not know of the address staking thread before. D'oh.

However, I found more evidence. Back in the early days of NXT, I've posted a link to the Twitter account ShitCFBSays here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345619.msg4650115#msg4650115).

Signed another message in a Tweet (https://twitter.com/ShitCFBSays/status/1012484159963529218) to prove ownership of that said account.

Thanks, I tried, but nothing happened yet. I'm now just calling out the hacker, I'm done with crap like this happening in crypto.

Any idea on what is the surprise today? Must be huge.
No, but i'm so excited for the suprise today :)
Nobody knows yet but in my opinion, I think it could be a new exchange, but that's just my guess.

"Sir", I have a few questions.

  • How about giving back "your" BitcoinTalk.org account that you obviously hacked or obtained otherwise illicitly from me to promote this project?
  • Are you involved in the project PRiVCY and if so how?
  • Do you deny this ("Xio") is not your account? How come I have proof that I am /  was the original owner of that account?

PM and give it back. Otherwise, this is going to be a lengthy discussion with "myself".

@ all
Don't allow things like this to happen in this community! You could be next, who knows!

TL;DR:

My BitcoinTalk.org account "Xio" was hacked, password bruteforced, phished, I'm not sure.
Wasn't able to login a few days ago, only to find that it is now used to shill this project or w\e.

PM'd admins, nothing happened. So now I have to fight it on my own.. :(

Let's see. Hacked account is not worth much when the victim stalks you, huh?
