Zcash has decided to remain an ASIC mineable crypto, so the Bitmain Antminer Z9 and Innosilicon A9 will make GPU mining of Zcash/ZEC obsolete. Coinbase appears to be slated to add Zcash to their coins to buy on their platform in 2018. Zooko the CEO of Zcash earns approximately $340,000 dollars a year from the Zcash block reward tax.

You know it's all when you boil it down just jealousy. I sure as hell would of loved to have the foresight to do what he did! on a side note: I'm almost done building my facility. I'll toss pictures up in the coming weeks on the long and difficult process. 4 mega watts to start but can scale to 12. I'll take up close to 1 mw for me.
