Title: To any UK residents hit by the "bedroom tax"
Post by: DooMAD on February 09, 2014, 12:55:50 PM
Get your appeals in now.  A UK court has ruled if it doesn't have a bed in it and it's not used for sleeping in, it's NOT a bedroom:  http://speye.wordpress.com/2014/02/08/the-bedroom-tax-is-dead-heres-why/ (http://speye.wordpress.com/2014/02/08/the-bedroom-tax-is-dead-heres-why/)
Time to kill this botched and grossly unfair legislation once and for all.

This was an absolute joke of a law, but how the hell are they going to check for beds? Surely everyone will just say there's no bed in there?

They should have considered that before bringing in such a ridiculous law.  They won't be able to check everyone.  The more people who file an appeal and win, the more likely it is to be scrapped.

Well clearly it was. Just another way of trying to cut benefits for the wrong reasons.

Yes, for the elite it's not a problem to pay tax for a bedroom, sun, air, water, ...
