Title: ntekcomputers umm, wow, TERRIBLE attitude! Post by: Slander on February 09, 2014, 02:10:16 PM Doesn't really encourage me to want to buy from them. Anyone else ever deal with these people?

You accuse them of being scammers, and get humpy when they tell you to get f**ked. ??? Simply asked them to clarify the delivery time frame, pretty simple question. Business people usually don't instantly tell you to f'off because they didn't like your question. Point being, do you really want to deal with an organization that's so instantly hostile. Should add that this was a craigslist listing in TORONTO, their company is located in Virginia. I was under the impression craigslist is a local, face to face thing. Title: Re: ntekcomputers umm, wow, TERRIBLE attitude! Post by: HellDiverUK on February 10, 2014, 08:31:53 AM I'm confused why the OP can't see that this isn't ignorant, condescending and accusational:
Quote seriously? so how are you different from all the other scammers out there selling stuff that doesn’t exist? how about posting when you have them in hand OP, you REALLY need to work on your communication skills, because they SUCK. My inquiry was ALL of these things, this is part of how the business world works, asshole customers are every where. Any real business professional would have jumped at the opportunity to gain another customer by outlining who they were and how they did business. Had they done this, or, gasp, used some humor (which generally always turns around acerbic customers), Im pretty sure I would have bought from them as their site looks quite good and they responded to me on a sunday morning. Instead I got a knee-jerk emotional response that instantly warned me to proceed with extreme caution. My intent of this post was not looking for sympathy for my oh so fragile and now bruised/shattered ego. Rather, it was to detail my brief experience with yet another bitcoin asic seller. Maybe this info helps others, maybe it doesn't. It did help me make up my mind pretty fast. Title: Re: ntekcomputers umm, wow, TERRIBLE attitude! How hard is that for you to have read that and not asked a fuck you question to them. http://imageshack.com/a/img585/7160/prpi.png Title: Re: ntekcomputers umm, wow, TERRIBLE attitude! Post by: Slander on February 10, 2014, 01:43:21 PM did you even read my last post? They missed out on the opportunity to set me straight. I responded to a craigslist add, NOT via their website which I didnt even know existed until they emailed me back. How hard would it have been for them to refer me to that page on their site? If you had read what I said, it would have been oh so easy for them to outline who they were and how they did business, perhaps by referring me to that page you so helpfully posted (thanks).
Imagine if they had done that and I bought from them. I would then be posting about how happy I was with them and golly maybe others reading this happy post would go and buy from them too. Gee, I think I might be on to something here. Could this be how a business grows and prospers? Title: Re: ntekcomputers umm, wow, TERRIBLE attitude! This is special market with very special rewards. The makers/sellers of these products are essentially handing out gold. If they don't like your attitude they have every right to tell you to piss off. Title: Re: ntekcomputers umm, wow, TERRIBLE attitude! [/quote] wow, please tell me you don't actually believe that? My sarcasm detector is broken today so I'm not sure. So, to clarify, companies are doing us a favor by selling things to us for a profit? Guess I need to go back to business school and learn this new business model. I do admit to being a bit curious why so many people choose to defend a company that they know nothing about and have never had any dealings with. Title: Re: ntekcomputers umm, wow, TERRIBLE attitude! Post by: JudgeHearst on February 10, 2014, 09:43:52 PM Slander,
I don't think you're wrong in believing that businesses selling a product should respect their customers. I mean, it goes without saying that such businesses cannot survive without customers (you don't need business school or a return thereto to know that :) ). In this case, however, I think you might benefit from taking a second look at the email exchange - this time from 30,000 ft. Your initial email to nTek presumes a scam is afoot and demands proof otherwise. I interpret your email as combative. The combativeness becomes even more apparent when you consider that you presented the entirety of the dialogue (i.e., its starts off that way). I suspect that I'm not alone in having this interpretation. nTek responded to your inquiry by telling you that your email['s presumption] was unappreciated (after answering your question no less). nTek did not accuse you of being anything (explicitly or implicitly), like you did with them; they simply asked you to shop elsewhere. Given that buyers can be scammers as much as sellers, they may have been more worried about your motivations than you were about theirs. Consider this: had your question not been loaded with an accusatory undertone and had you gotten the same response, then your post would have been more interesting. Maybe nTek should have ignored you, maybe not. Either way, the consensus seems to be that the initial question posed to nTek, not nTek's response, was the most problematic message in the exchange. In fact, in the other thread about nTek, many people have suggested that nTek has been more than willing to field many, many emails and calls. Not one person has reported a negative experience RE: communications. Why do those folks report a different experience than you? Lastly, nobody is defending nTek as much as they are saying your experience is not useful information because it starts off on the wrong foot. In other words, its biased at its root and is not that compelling when compared to the other accounts. Food for thought, and no hard feelings, btw - I'm just describing how I see the email exchange and am not making a judgments about you personally (I love to a chance to procrastinate :D ). Title: Re: ntekcomputers umm, wow, TERRIBLE attitude! Post by: Bicknellski on February 12, 2014, 07:35:51 AM How to handle his email as a customer sales representative.
Delete. Problem solved. Responding, even with a polite here are the facts email, might not be worth it with this sort of person given they are clearly looking for "confrontation" it might be unlikely to "resolve" this inquiry. I don't blame people for asking for clarification from Ntek, and every customer should be asking questions, but really what harm is there in being polite when you are doing it? You might get the answers you want unless your intent was never to get answers in the first place. Title: Re: ntekcomputers umm, wow, TERRIBLE attitude!
