Title: Ethereum overload
Post by: CLywaTeLb on June 30, 2018, 04:33:57 PM
1 min: 200 Gway
5 min: 150 Gway
30 min: 80 Gway
etherscan.io sometimes turns off. In CMC, significant volumes are not displayed.
Can anybody explain what's going on?

What do you mean exactly?

Seems that nothing exceptional is going on. Ethereum network producing about 600k transactions during last 24 hours. Nothing special. Even less than average.

I do not quite understand, like all the others that you mean? Nothing supernatural in the network Ethereum now does not happen. You do not have to worry!!!

I have not seen such a tx price for a long time.
The price of tx has already fallen: https://ethgasstation.info/
There was 150 Gwei to 5 minutes. This surprised me.

sometimes there's just a longer queue for transactions so the gas prices may jump up a bit, nothing to worry really

Today is the Ethereum network a bit overload. You can check the ETHGasStation, but I use also the own tool of Etherscan who you can find here. Both of the tools give a good overview of the gas:

I feel sorry for trader who uses Etherdelta. I never have seen that high amount needed for GAS what is going on??

These transaction price structure shows  nothing strange but gas price usually gets reduced when the market of coin remains in downtred for a longer period.
Once the price of etber starts to rise, the gas price also goes up by a few percent. Alternate reason in gas value decrease is assumed when there are more than usual transactions eveey day

but in my opinion the number of transactions handled by the ethereum network is increasing and that gives rise to long queues, causing gas prices to rise.
ethereum network is not overload only the longer transaction queue

Opinions on this issue were divided. Some talk about a concerted attack to undermine the credibility of the network, while others claim that it is a matter of high user activity.

Remember that in a few weeks we will see the ETH 2.0 supposedly solution to network scalability among other issues. Today's price action has been beautiful with some 17% green (after a huge fall last days) but with the big news so soon we may certainly have touched the bottom at last.

What do you think? have we seen the bottom? altseason incoming?  :)

Same issues for other blockchain networks as well. If its crowded, they will be a traffic and that's going to cause higher fee to start your transaction.

Congestion usually happens if there's too much user activity so it results to high gas prices but its stable as of now.

Bitcoin season bull run is coming so it will also give a significant positive movement to alts.

I don't understand why you care so much about the Commission. Really, when you come to the ATM and withdraw money there, too, consider the Commission that you keep? It's called stinginess.

Good day. Its just normal you have to increase gas price to send your alts faster. The smaller the gas price set, they will just put your transaction on queue. If in you're in a rush to send your alts then set your gas fee higher. A few more cents to pay is just fine for more if I'm going to earn a hundred dollars on trading.

ethereum reportedly will do hardfork in October,
maybe this will be ethereum's best solution to handle the slow ethereum network

I think the period you are referring to was when some people were spamming Ether network, some people attributed it to one Exchange while other people said EOS team were behind it. There is doubt there is need for real scaling solution in the space until we have the solution we are looking for we need to make do with what we have

As everybody already mentioned nothing special is going on. The queue reduces the amounts and gas price. You have to pay some higher fees to reduce this reduction.

For me this means that eth is alive and have future) It have real usage and transactions. Waiting for the new POS system and to the moon.

Probably due to the fact that it is used for ICO and smart contracts, which is much more complex and voluminous than conventional client processes.

different volumetric changes are seen in the last day. volume value started to increase. you need to be prepared for harsh reactions. maybe ETH could fall down. we need to be prepared.

There are quite a lot of ico projects traded in ETH coin, so I think the ETH coin value will decrease over time, so if we do not switch coin quickly we will be hard can get the profit from encryption

the reason why eth network overloaded , that just because :
1.some ICO opened , and most of people try to invest , ( like ICO with a huge MVP behind it )
2.some shit token created , like a few month ago , many many shit token/spam token, send mass of transaction to all eth address.
i also got that shit on my wallet.
3.crypto kitties
i also wondered , why we need some game on blockchain. just try play a game on your smartphone.

Crypto kitties is proof that ethereum is not capable of mainstream adoption. All it would take is a few more similar games and ethereum will crumble. People should switch to a better platform like NEO which can handle it easily, and soon they can use LISK and have their very own blockchain

This incident can bring eth down and have a bad impact with the development of eth, but this will not be long, I think this is only temporary and later eth will be trusted again by investors.

This should be address by the ethereum developer as this might be the reason of transaction failure in the future if they can't make a better solutions on platform congestion as more and more token will adopt this platform as we seen many new projects that runs under the ethereum blockchain.

Now Ethereum cryptocurrency is one of the most popular. This is the main cause of network congestion.

To date, an update has been tested on a test network, with the help of which the ethereum scaling will increase. But for the time being there will be no introduction of this technology due to certain errors .

Competitors will continue to killing Ethereum network, but i guess they wasting their money in vain, cause it impossible do it continiously...

I really hope that it's imposible, I hold some Ethereum and believe in its better position in the future.
