I'm running the latest version of Cgminer, I'm logged in to the pool and everything seems to be working fine. Also got a wallet that is working properly. The PC is just what drives the hardware, it doesn't do the mining.

You haven't done any work at all. To save you some time, mining on a macbook pro is pointless it has been for sometime now.
