Post by: swizzler on March 17, 2011, 09:07:44 PM
Hello all,

I am new to bitcoin and would like meet users and merchants near Toronto or in Canada.

We are looking for trustworthy locals to make our first trades with :)

Looking forward to responses!
Kevin

There is a marker in Toronto on Bitcoin.local, though no contact info ???

There are a couple markers not too far from Toronto on the Bitcoin (collaborative) Map
London, ON and Buffalo, NY, USA:

You might pop in to the Privacy Camp TO on Saturday, there might be an opportunity to meet others there who would be interested in Bitcoin:

I've done business with him, and can say everything went well. So if you were looking to trade your CAD for some BTC, talk to him.

I live in Buffalo, if you're in Toronto I think I might swing up there and see what's up when I'm getting stuff for my dorm (though I won't have much room of course, it's always nice to browse/get some art :))

TLDR: CaVirtEx.com for large purchases, QuickBT.com for small instant ones.
