Title: BitcoinExchange.CC - Worst bitcoin service... EVER!
Post by: shakaru on September 27, 2011, 01:14:23 AM
Want to be forced to track down someones private info to have your transaction even noticed? Promises don't ever need to be kept with you? Then try BitcoinExchange.cc! 100% failure rate on all transactions. Small or large, it need not matter!
Bitcoin drop in the time it takes to "Process" your order? Do not worry, we will just somewhat try to refund your coins because, well, they are cheaper now so we will make money.

Fact of the matter. If I didnt have a phone contact for these guys, I never would get my money. Every time I am told that it will be ready by X time or Y time, and never. Everytime a deadline has passed too, the phone is shut off and goes right to voicemail.
I have wrote negative reviews before, but every time after talking to the "staff" I pull them down and give them another chance. But no.
As a result, my 190btc is not valued at $1040 like when I wanted to sell it, its now worth $927. I would have used Mt. Gox and not had as many problems.

So boycot the service and let it die into the ground.

Phone magically rings after posting this. Behold, either the options of refund or current price. Just great. What about the money I have lost by using your service because of your claim of its ability? You owe me $120 usd or at current price, 25btc. If you dont think so, the recording I made on skype with your claim of response time or the excuse that your phone had no internet until I called is bullshit. You have my btc address. Take care of it.

Maybe hold on to your bitcoin and wait for a higher price before selling.

I hold a great deal of them, but this was for a project so the coins were earmarked for sale

I must say, you are quite a... high maintenance client. You make demands that all your transactiolns be processed same day. We go out of our way to get it done on time, and u still always complain.

Furthermore, we immediately refunded your coins to you when we could not process them. WE DO NOT OWE YOU ANYTHING BECAUSE UR BTC WAS REFUNDED IN FULL. We even contacted you via phone to notify you of market fluctuations before processing the order. We are NOT responsible for market fluctuations. You said you could have used MtGox to lock ur price, we also cash out MtGoxUSD codes, so you could have sent us that instead but you chose to send btc and go with the fluctuation risk.

In return for a level of customer service which included direct phone calls to ensure a refund is processed immediately, you post scathing reviews about how the coins u sent at 3am are not processed by the start of the business day. As advertised by us, it can take up to 72 hours to complete an order.

Anyone who has done business with me knows I come though 100% of the time, never lost funds, never been hacked, never ripped anyone off. That's why I'm still operational and successful.

bitcoinexchange.cc worked fine for me many times, and the service there is "not the worst," but it's definitely not worth complaining about! Shakaru, couldn't you take your bitching elsewhere? There's a nice, shiny website right here (http://bitcoinforums.net/).

And a little word of advice, BitcoinExchange. When you're making a post to deal with an unsatisfied costumer, at least take the time to correctly type out the words you, your, transactions, goddammit at least attempt to spell things out correctly! You aren't posting this from a cellphone (I'm assuming), and it's not like taking an extra minute to check through your post will kill you.

Thanks for backing me up in this. :)

Actually, I was posting that from a cell phone, a customer notified me the thread and I wanted to reply immediately.

I went through and corrected typos when I got to a PC.

Maybe you're one of the lucky ones.  I tried to exchange a $30 MtGoxUSD code for Western Union on Monday, and they emailed me back to receive the code right away, and I have not heard from them since.  I've emailed multiple times to ask when my transaction would be completed, and no answer.

I just needed some cash and it was pretty annoying to assume it was on the way soon and then never hear from them.  At this point I mostly just want a response and to know what the heck is going on.

For the record, I have dealt with Shakaru, and had nothing but the best of professionalism, I would find it very hard to believe hes such a problem.

I was going to let this die but I've seen some other post now that users are having worse problems.

My first dealings with BitcoinExhange.CC was over Skype where I asked the person on the other end who later revealed his name to be "Alex" if I was to send in a large amount of btc, would the transaction be able to be processed same day? I also explained that if not, that I would not be able to use his server that day, but would in the future. I was told that I would have my funds within 2-3 hours. When that time period came and went, I contacted Alex again but did not get a response. About 2 more hours pass and I hear from him saying that his runner will be leaving shortly (odd because you can use a credit card online and he said it would be done already 2 hours prior at the latest). I say ok and wait a bit more, finially 3 hours after that I get a response that everything is ready. Ok, not to bad.

On my next few exchanges, I asked how long it would take and agreed to the price and time. On the next one, the price "Changed" somehow after I was "locked in" and was told I could either get my coins back at current rate or my exchange - fee at current rate. I went with the latter as I needed to process this transaction. At that time I think I was told someone was in the hospital or he was sick or something.

Then on the last transaction, same thing. Alex had told me I could call him on his private number to set up a trade. We talk time table and everything and once more, when its past the time frame, nothing. I called and the phone was off. Hours later I get ahold of him, or him me, saying the same as last time, price drop, you lose, make a choice. This time I said scerew it and took the coins back.

The reason I get so bent out of shape is that I would not use this service if the op didnt tell me it would fit within the needs I have. Which it did not. On top of it all, he profits by waiting on transaction and not even sending them at all. This goes back to before my own use with a user name Maria who seems to be the first to document this all.
