How its possible its something fishy for sure if bitcoin price goes up all crypto prices goes up its impossible situation every time me see saying it cause each crypto trader buyer and sellers are different and each user who buys crypto buys difrent crypto at one time how come eveyone buys all crypto at one time and all crypto prices goes up at same time did u thought that ever

* when bitcoin price falls, almost every altcoin price drops also.
* bitcoin price has been falling for a while now. this means altcoin prices have also been falling for a while now.
* now that bitcoin has started its recovery it means altcoin prices don't need to drop anymore. so by removal of that drop and after the big drops they just had they need a recovery hence the rises.

+ whenever there is rise, there is also FOMO buyers thinking this is IT, the rise that makes them rich ;D

it is likely that the big thing will happen because almost all crypto prices are pegged to the bitcoin that became the first and the largest currency so that it has influence on other coins.

Alts price is very much depends on Bitcoin, maybe alts are traded mostly with bitcoin.  So if btc goes up alts goes up and if btc goes down alts goes down, but bitcoin is relatively slow mover than altcoins.  So if it goes up little, alts go up in double pace and vice versa unless BTC goes on parabolic like this past winter. 

It is because movement of the bitcoin price affects the price of altcoins. Bitcoin is the main coin that exchanges are using to pair with altcoins and most altcoins are not being paired with fiat that is why most of the time altcoins follow bitcoin whenever it goes down or up but not all the time. There are also times that when bitcoin price goes up most alts goes down and vise versa.

Well, this is not new and it is going on since very beginning. Bitcoin is the most primitive and influential coin. It has a huge influence over the market and the whole market is judged by the price of bitcoin. For this reason every time we see that the price of altcoin is following the price of bitcoin. The altcoin couldn't be independent of bitcoin's influence yet.

The same thing happens when Bitcoin drop in price, Bitcoin/Altcoins pair is stronger and more common than Altcoin/USDT pair. This kind of situation is normal.

Everything follows bitcoin's movement and this probably won't change until  more fiat trading pairs rae introduced.  You need btc to buy most alts.

I've been looking at many low cap coins for fun and many of them are down over 90%.  Alts get hit the hardest in a bear market but they are also susceptible to massive pumps during a bullrun.

As we all know that BTC is the major pair of all the cryptocurrencies as most of the cryptocurrencies are latter to Bitcoin. A person needs to have a portion of BTC in order to buy a few alts. I totally agree! It is only natural that whenever the price of Bitcoin goes up or down, the the peices of altcoins will follow. Bitcoin is the mother of all coins and they are still dependent on it. Majority of the coins in the market can only be bought via Bitcoin.

But the price in btc is still the same, that's why it's look like increasing.

The logic is very simple bitcoin has no competition and all other crypto in the market are all ether platform base which means that these crypto including ether is only an alternative coin for bitcoin. Whenever you have tokens or coins before selling that one you must trade that to ethereum and then to fiat money. Well there are some special cases on exchanges that offers crypto to fiat money. So all of the investmet goes directly or indirectly to bitcoin.

But sometime if bitcoin goes  falling down some altcoins are uprise in the marketplace because of the demands of the market same situation from bitcoin if the demands high the price become huge.

It is simply because bitcoin has it’s own market that is why prices of alts are affected. Buy and sellers look up for the price of bitcoin because it seems like it’s the main currency in cryptocurrency, because whatever the price of bitcoin people depend on it to whether they buy it or to sell it. Try to study more bitcoin and you will see what it takes to monitor its price i.e when you are an investor.

Some coins are pegged to Bitcoin and some coins are pegged to Ethereum. However, in general if Bitcoin is rising then the entire cryptocurrency market cap will follow.

Every token and coins that are in exchanges is connected with BITCOIN.
they have some satoshi equivalent.
Bitcoin is convertible to USD which declares the value of every token.
once bitcoin price goes up then the price of token or coins in USD will go up also.

even if you can not understand about bitcoin better you learn it first and do a lot of research, bitcoin is the parent of all altcoin that exist today, so for example bitcoin price is very influential on altcoin other it is reasonable, because trader and investor not origin in investing or trading, so they know what they should do, so learn to understand first.

Bitcoin is main cryptocurrency. If you want to buy any altcoin, usually you pay by BTC. That's why when BTC start to go up, altcoins usually follows.

Coinbase just opened a platform for institutional investments on their trading platform and it was reported that $10 Billion

worth of Crypto currencies was traded on their platform. That would explain some of the increase that you observed in the

charts. That was just the trigger for other investors to also start investing again in Crypto currencies. So there... explanation

I also do not understand the trend of current prices for cryptocurrency. If you take the price to the dollar, everything is clear. But I constantly see a situation when the price of bitcoin increases with the price of altcoins to bitcoin. Conversely, when bitcoin prices fall, the price of most altcoins decreases relative to bitcoin. It's a mystery to me

if we buy altcoin in need is bitcoin as payment, so do not be surprised if bitcoin rise, altcoin also rise. do not think bad about price maanipulation because all transactions are connected to blockchain.

Yes it is very common to see other cryptos price go up once Bitcoin price goes up. I think this is because Bitcoin has a very large share of the market, and also because when the price of Bitcoin goes up, it increases the confidence of would be investors or new entrants to try and participate in cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin has been the ruling coin in the the crypto currency market since its very inception and there has been no other coin that can really replace this benchmark set up by the bitcoin. So it is quite natural to see that how the price of the bitcoin plays an instrumental role in determining the price of all other alternate crypto coins. So it is quite obvious that when the price of the bitcoin rises, the prices of the altcoins rises and it is also true vice versa. However seeing the glorious past of the bitcoin, it does not surprise me at all to see that it plays a phenomenal role in effecting the prices of the entire crypto market.

yes it is true that when btc up all crypto is high vice versa when btc down all alts down. in my opinion it is because that all coins transactions based on crypto as we buy all coins through BTC, BTC is the core of cryto so that is why it moves according to the btc movement.

They say that there is a correlation between bitcoin and other alts, so this rally shows that it is the case. I think for the simple reason is that bitcoin is the obvious leader of the pack, so where it goes, others follow. However, the problem is when bitcoin falls, alts follow but exaggerates its downfall. So its like when bitcoin goes up with small gains alts follow, however, when bitcoin falls hard, alts go down harder. So as investors you need to factor if you are in for short or long term, because it really makes a lot of difference in terms of how you are going to make profits.

yes it is certain all crypto will rise if Bitcoin rise, because no one can replace the first rank position even no one can match Bitcoin in any market. because Bitcoin is its parent, so up and down Bitcoin will be very influential once on all crypto.

It is possible and this is a very simple info to me. To me, Bitcoin is the main thing in the crypto field. Without bitcoin, the crypto market is nothing. We all know that here is some kind of strange mysterious principle present.  nobody understands the Direct depending but every time when bitcoin would go up alternative cryptocurrencies would follow it, and also vice versa!

I think this is so because Bitcoin has become a standard currency for comparison. If I'm not lying most altcoin can be exchanged for bitcoin and hence somehow altcoins depend on bitcoin.

It is a fact because Bitcoin controls the market. All altocns are linked to the bitcoin one way or another. Thus anything affecting Bitcoin today will generally affect altcoins altogther. Bitocin got that privileged been the first digital currency to be generally accepted.

If btc goes uptrend, the usual case is that majority of the alts will follow because these allts and btc are correlated with the other. The profit from the investors of btc will somehow  be used in buying more alts that I think has an impact on the increasing altcoin price value.

This is because they are peered to  bitcoin (traded in BTC) so as bitcoin goes up the satoshi price on which a particular altcoins been traded on also increase. That all and nothing more behind it

this is why there is a BTC dominance sector in coinmarketcap. Almost all the coins are traded with btc and btc acts as a reserve asset for every other coin and the correlation with the market seems to be high for these reasons.

yes, you are right, 80% of crypto price still depends on bitcoin, good altcoin is altcoin which has good stability, its mean always stable or sometimes rise even though condition of bitcoin is down.

how can it happen? I think it is a founder's strategy to make altcoin always good, so altcoin is still much traded despite the bad market conditions.  and it affects the altcoin fluctuations in the market.

I can't explain why it does so happens but I could state a hypothesis. The fact that consumer-wise bitcoin dominates the whole cryptocurrency scene gives it hold even to the control of the price. And since it is the biggest cryptocurrency yet, Everything that happens on bitcoin would seem like it would reflect to  smaller cryptocurrencies, therefore, when bitcoin increases, the demand for other coins also increases.

I see it to be normal because almost all the altcoins are being traded for bitcoin so if bitcoin price increases then it is obvious that the altcoins price too will increase. For instance if bitcoin is $6000 and ripple is $0.30 and bitcoin happens to move to $10000 then it is normal for ripple to also increase since it is paired with bitcoin in trading.

Alts are going up because majority of alts buy are hooked with BTC pairs. If BTC is going up, expect alts to go up too. I believe Bitcoin will go up up to 7.5k, then another consolidation.

This is because bitcoin is the KING in crypto and it determines the fate of all other email coins. I wonder why people find it difficult to believe this truth but it is always obvious. Bitcoin comes down and the whole market is bleeding and when bitcoin is up, there is bull run in the market.

Your not seeing the big picture. Bitcoin is the founding father of cryptocurrencies as we know them today.
Most crypto coins are traded against Bitcoin and then to fiat. Bitcoin is the medium of exchange to access fiat.
Until other cryptos are traded against fiat directly, Bitcoin will be the go to coin.
    The current market depends on Bitcoin to thrive, not just because it's a medium of exchange for fiat, but also because its reputation is on the line as the founding coin. If Bitcoin fails and falls flat on its face, then people will lose hope, faith and the belief, thus the crypto dream begins to fade. Bitcoin depends on supply and demand in order to grow. Naturally, the more users who adopt Bitcoin as the go to digital currency, the larger the network and infrastructure become and the higher the initial market price per coin.

hahaha..i was so happy when i logged unto coinmarket cap yesterday. I really don't know how bitcoin does it though what i know is that most altcoins are all under the supremacy and dominancy of bitcoin. That anytime bitcoin goes up they do same and when it goes down they do same. I guess it all proves how bitcoin is KING.

it has nothing to do with "demands". it is all in the pump and dumps and how they work. sometimes some coin is still it is pump and dump period when bitcoin goes up or down so  that particular coin or coins will remain in their own trend. for example if they were being pumped they continue being pumped or if they were getting dumped hard they will go on falling.

Yes I agree with you mate, the king of all crypto coins is bitcoin, if bitcoin rise the other coins will be rise simply because the other coins depends on the bitcoin. Bitcoin is the head and the other coins are the tail.

This is true.

Currently in a market as young as this, there is always pegging towards Bitcoin. So if Bitcoin is up or down, so the other alts will follow. There are also cases wherein algorithmic bots are doing their job and right now those bart chart patterns are the cause of algorithmic trading most likely. I am not surprised that some of those algo bots also play with alts. Although not all alts are up... some move in their own ways... in their own pace.

If we are just to look at the demand or supply, yes we can justify this as impossible as per the examination of OP. We have to look at this differently and this is how you should look at this:

Let us assume that a Bitcoin is valued $1,000 at the moment and an Ethereum is equal to 0.1 BTC.

1BTC = $1,000 and 1ETH = 0.1BTC, thus 1ETH = $100.

If, for instance 1BTC after a day became $1,100 each and 1ETH is still equal to 0.1BTC then,

1BTC = $1,100 and 1ETH = 0.1BTC, thus 1ETH = $110.

Having the same conversion factor of 1ETH = 0.1BTC, ETH increased in value in terms of USD because BTC increased.

I used this explanation because all other coins are convertible in BTC market.

Without looking at the supply and demand for other coin or token, we can clearly see here how most of the coins and tokens increase in value just by Bitcoin increasing.

as we can know that many coins are sold and buy via bitcoin. so its depend on bitcoin price when the bitcoin down the rate of that coin is down too, its not work in bitcoin because as we can see that if we want to buy bitcoin and sell bitcoin we can use USD directly, so the price movement of bitcoin is depend on the demand and the USD value

As a matter of fact, it is not possible to directly convert the price of most coins to USD. First you have to convert it to bitcoin for any transactions. The point is that its price based on Bitcoin. Accordingly, the price change of Bitcoin is directly affected them.

When Bitcoin price ups maximum coin price up because price of altcoins depends on Bitcoin price. If altcoin price with satoshi remain same but BTC price ups, automatically $value of altcoin ups.

yes you are right because bitcoin is the center of the exchange price condition, when bitcoin prices go up then altcoin is sure to make a price increase so all coins will surely rise as well.

I think there is a solid reason. So far so many altcoins are made with bitcoin. So when bitcoin price goes up, the cost or charge foro those coins also rise. As a result, it afftects on the price of that altcoins. So accordingly, price of other coins also go up.

It is like an interlinked chain, so the fall as well growth of bitcoin makes an impact over the entire list of altcoins other than few exceptions. This is made from its development in such a manner which makes the system function without flaws even though it is open sourced.

Although I am not agree with statement that other cryptos currencies have enter link with bitcoin, and if bitcoin price will increase their price will also increase. I think that there are some potentially good altcoins which do not have any link with bitcoin and I think that bitcoin price may not have any impact on its price.

This is happening because bitcoin is the major cryptocurrency. Bitcoin did not need other coins to developed but altcoins cannot survive without bitcoin.  That is why I think when you have a long term view it is better you buy bitcoin and hold instead of buy any of the altcoins.  Yesterday bitcoin were making positive upwards movement why almost all the coins were getting dump.

It is not all up, I don't know where you found that but in reality when bitcoin is up, bitcoin is up, alts still
can go down (it can go up too) so there is no correlation directly at face value. However if there is ton of money on bitcoin, eventually people will think bitcoin went up as much as it can and will try to invest on alts that went down and hope that they can make some profits from that next, you can make MAXIMUM x2 from btc at this point on short term, yet you can get x10 from some alts going really high.
