I can't find insert video function in the editing tools

I want to ask can I insert youtube video in the thread? If yes, how to do it?

Directly, you can't. You have to create a thumbnail for it > Upload it to a hosting website (ex. imgur (https://imgur.com)) > Post it in the thread > Give it a link.

I hope this is never allowed. It is extremely annoying if you are looking at the boards on a mobile, or in a public place.

Question! If I were going to view the uploaded video in the forum, will it redirect to another tab or website?

Of course it is as this website tend to redirect you from that thumbnail to that specific website, actually it's not uploaded instead a link. I agree that this forum shall never implement videos in threads besides this is a forum not a social media site.

You can do it without uploading images to the any proxy by following method :) hope you get the answers.

I don't like the idea about inserting videos in bitcointalk as it would only occupy the space for the comments of every user. Adding videos in bitcointalk is like reading a bunch of post in SMT.

I think it will not work for video. Your mentioned theme will work for image only. Anyway, forgive if I am wrong.
