There is no demand. After a pump demand goes sideways.The pumps are done to induce (make) demand! If the pumps fail to induce demand watch out.

The market will eventually go on a bull run it’s just a matter of patience we are down 600 billion from last year overall market cap that is nothing we can get into the trillion  in a couple or month  with a nice bull run going

Well, this is just another dramatic move for Bitcoin and the people who are stakeholders into it capable of doing some "manipulations" if the accusation here can be correct. I am now starting to think that maybe with this kind of scenario (if true) there might no future for Bitcoin at all and the rest of the cryptocurrency movement. Are we in for major changes that will produce a big meltdown for the whole industry before it can be able to settle back for good? I am now entertaining the idea that maybe Warren Buffet can be wise and true.

I am also feeling the same. This might be a bear trap. The correction may not be over yet. The spike that happened in the past day wasn't supported by much volume. The volume is still dying. I believe we ll go down further then consolidate for few weeks or maybe months and then a trend reversal. Volume is a very big factor indeed. The social media interest is also very low. Hoping to see a good bull run later this year.

I believe that bitcoin does not have much demand only temporarily, since the market of crypto-currency is still young, but soon the crypto currency will be in great demand and used almost everywhere.

Good day. As for me I'm a little optimistic about the current market today. Slowly yes which I think is normal. It won't recover in a day but will take months. If you're indecisive on what to do with your assets then just selling at 10% profit would be fine for me. I always want to have my capital back in all of my investments. So I would not care more if there's a big drop coming. After sell I always buy back my profits. Then withdraw my capital. To be safe.

I think a lot of people forgot about BTC story. When BTC first came in 2009 I think only 1 person know what will gonna happen in couple years but anyway tht was an alternative to the corruption banking system that didn't work. So now do we have real working banking system? What is the situation with transfers between countries? Does Africa has working banking system? Before bitcoin, no one could just take and transfer money from Zimbabwe to Europe using only a wallet and Internet. Don't underestimate bitcoin. this is not just "price story". BTC this is more than just a geek toy.

Why do you have to be frustrated? It is not like it is the end of the market as a whole as there is still room for more opportunities in the future anyway. The fact that the market is falling now does not mean it would be like that forever. However, it is important to note that this feeling of frustration is actually the target of the whales, while they make the weak investors dump at loss, and then they hit back with a huge pump.

Based on what OP said though, I am not going to be classifying this current pump as something to look forward to an uptrend, as it looks weak and it is obvious the bears are still somewhere around. If the bulls want to make any serious move, I guess, we would need to hold $6300 region as support with current market situation and break the $6800 resistance in coming hours, otherwise, we will get to see if indeed, it was just a dead cat bounce.

I definitely agree with your suggestions and do no see why you should be frustrated because even if it might take a lot of time before the market will recover and the price of the coin become stable, I still think you should exercise more patience as the market will recover from the bear and the bull will come in.

Yes I so much agree with you on the analysis. The slight upward jump is a good thing. I foresee an upward move to more than 7000 in the next one month. The current bear situation has stayed for too long.

As much as I understand what you are trying to get at, I also understand what the OP is trying to get at lol. With this market currently, anyone trying to get in is going to have to be taking a lot of risk. This is not the first time a break out is manipulated and it is simply a way to get to squeeze out a lot of inexperienced traders and investors who are just busy gambling the market.

With a market like this, it is always better to wait for a very good confirmation before getting in at all. We may say there is a demand, but we cannot be so sure if it is a real demand or a bot induced one like the OP said.

I don't agree with you that there is no demand for BTC, for this moment just there is no such volume as was in the winter, but this matter of time if you think so, then you will lose.

If there would not be a demand, BTC would not exist already, and people did not trade on stock exchanges. The market is waiting, because this is a stupid conclusion. When BTC starts to grow, it will be backed up by a demand and the price will go up.

It dont get like that.   It is like a Year is Bearish and then a year goes sideways  and then 2 years is bullish. That is a normal Bitcoin cycle. Well it can also go half year and half year and 1 year.  Predict the pace of this current Bitcoin cycle is basically what is all about and only thing that Bitcoin holders actually care. What is happening from day to day no one does care really.

I think there's demand for bitcoin howbeit low. The current rally might be sustained but it's good for some replenishment as there was too much 'blood' on the streets, people lost thousands of dollars and were hoping to recoup some of the losses made already.

I don't have bad feeling of what happening in market now. In my own opinion this the start of bullish run.it is a good indication that market is now going up again. Hopefully it will continue climbing up so that everyone will be happy.

If you talking in current situation so this is not a valid reason. But suppose know Bitcoin is reached in 15k USD everyone trust this platform. It is decentralized platform so anytime this will going to moon at the same time some big whales plan to reduce the demand may this will raise next month and I hope bitcoin is never fails in future.

I also believe that bitcoin will step on the gaz again and go to the moon in the next few months as I see in this month there has been an increase as well as altcoin that keeps up with bitcoin prices.

Your feeling about bitcoin sudden pump is different on we are feeling. Im feeling the good vibes , bulls are slowly enterung the market and will drive the price to go a little bit higher .

We are gearing up for a massive bull run.  That run up in December was nothing compared to what will happen.  Most experts are predicting the total crypto marketcap will end up being in the trillions.  Consider gold has a total vlaue of 7trillion or so, it's very reasonable bitcoin can amount to at least half that.

I'm confident that Bitcoin will hit new ATH's sooner rather than later, but there is no doubt that waiting for a clear reversal and hodling long time is quite painful somehow.

Indeed. Why not choose to be happy? People are so pessimistic, they see a drop they feel bad but when it goes up, they feel much more worries. If it is a bull trap then it is because if it happens then it will happen.

It is a good sign that after the fall the market has started to rise and that too cautiously it is not rising suddenly by 1 or 2k points which can be more dangerous at times then small rise which is happening currently. It is also getting stable which is again good sign with rising prices.

I hope you are right and bitcoin will slowly pass $7k, but I am also prepared to see if the market will drop again below $6k.

This luxury rally by the giants of the Consensus 2018 is currently being held in New York City. Although there have not been any announcements or happenings, but it seems the atmosphere of this year's event is very tense and crowded.

I am a realist bitch. If their was good news I would support it in posts. At the moment this market of retail bitches is following a bot that buys bitcoin. The bots are the only entity with demand for Bitcoin and bitches like you follow it! What happens when the bot turns into a bear because it can’t profit with its upswing attempts!

There are no demands on Bitcoin, well in fact there are a lot of people who sells their coins just to avoid loses and regret that they buy bitcoins for investment and i think you are one of them. Having this "unprofitable" market for too long makes us insane because of the fear of the unknown. But always think that it happens on the past and people who hang in there gets what they deserve.

There is no point from OP's words. The demand for BTC compared last year is much greater and I think it would surpass the trillion dollar market cap within Q4 of this year because of the recent adaption news of the blockchain in many industries. Most institutional investors and smart money are not yet trading in the market. They could be buying bargains over the counter to keep them low profile for them to accumulate discreetly.  I could be wrong, but I still do believe that in long term, crypto currencies have a bright future once full development and utilization in many aspects are in sight.

Almost every participant in this market is responsible for their assets because this is a very risky investment and if not careful then we can lose everything in the market. The advice for everyone is to only invest when the market enters the uptrend period

If the intentions of the Bitcoin pump team is for it to go higher and they do not sell the coins for a profit and plummet the market all is good but if not OMG

I am quite happy at the moment. When we've had long periods of price drops, for me the most important thing is where the drops stop and we hit solid ground. Look at the huge drop earlier this year, and then look at the recent drop. Both seem to have hit solid ground at or around $250 bilion (whole market). There is a lot of resistance to further drops, and this builds confidence. This is a good indicator that prices won't drop much below $250b. And the establishing of a solid base means that the market can then rise with confidence.

but theres no harm on investing on bitcoin even though you are thinking it is being manipulated by bots, for me just like how btc started from low and after many years reached $20000 is still something we should look at. We just need to invest something we can afford to lose.

Yes, I agree with you. Most likely it will. This level is too dangerous, people are afraid of it, too much uncertainty. Now, if it is profitable for whales, the price will go up and overcome the ambiguous marks. But, you correctly wrote that we don't know about the plans of  whales, so it's dangerous to build the offerings. With the same ease, if it is profitable for them, they will lower the price even lower.

Bear market shouldn't scare anybody, we've been in it for months now. It's only a matter of time now before one of these run ups sticks, and we stay in a bull market.

I am not sure whether you know much about bitcoin or altcoins and how price changes in the market. Please learn demand and supply theory first, then you need to read more about price volatility of the crypto currencies. If you learn both of these things you will never get the doubt that bitcoin has no demand mate.

Please wait till September month, after that you will find the bitcoin price jump to 10k USD or it may go over the 15k USD mate.

Absolutely, if you seen some doubts with your investment better to leave it and focus to other things that you can handle, this things already happen again and again people who still inside the industry are those who believes that the market will recover and playing with this movements will still favorable as long as there's still people who's willing to take and handle the risk.

I think this is not a trap rally, I see this is the turning point of the fall of harag cryptocurrency some time ago, I have predicted that Ethereum could reach $ 650- $ 700.

But that's just my prediction, because what I see resistance at both points is very strong.

I don't think the ongoing price increase is a manipulated growth. From my view what is happening around the network is entirely a stabilized growth, because lot and lot of good things related to cryptocurrency have been taking place in large scale supporting the growth.

It's really difficult to predict anything about this crypto world at the moment. I think the only thing that we can do at the moment is waiting and hoping that BTC can break $7000 and rise back to $10k asap. At the moment, Bitcoin price is being stable at $6k6 and it's a good time for other good altcoins to rise back then BTC will follow them later :D

I think you have wrongly argued. There are lots of whales that trade every day to make a profit because they understand how the market works. They have a lot of money and we can not understand how they trade and make money.

At this stage, I expect everyone to understand that this is not a market set yet for any uptrend, let alone some bull run and it is best to stay very careful at times like this so as not to be a huge victim of failed and bot induced breakouts. That was a very weak one and I would not really be so keen to getting into market at a point in time like this, unless there is a glaring move to the uptrend. There is still the possibility of seeing some more downward movement which is why being careful is necessary.

Anyone can make his own analysis on where might the price will possibly go and basing on some technical analysis we can really presume that we might heading up there. For now i cant see a rally but rather a normal increase of price. Strong resistance not only on bitcoin but also in all altcoins in the market but well we do know not all technicals would be followed up.

when you buy token the value changes because of people buy and sell and holl and as a I know it is the supply and demand of bitcoin and altcoin.

Even after we reach bottom we will see for at least half year of staying close to bottom and going sideways. This sideways moment lasted from January 2015 to October 2015.   We will see lots of FUD coming after new year when Bitcoin will show quite bad investment in 2017. And also in months till new year. although price cant fall that much anymore we are far from the most dulling months in current Bitcoin cycle.

Intuition is a good thing, but you need to rely not only on it. There are my sources with information on crypto-currencies, you just need to be able to collect the facts and check them - and then you can invest peacefully.

Yeah, your fears are justified. The market is not recovering, but sometimes it shows a good growth. We should always use stop losses during trading, because it save us from big losses.
