I have heard many celebrities talking about Bitcoin in the past, for example Ashton Kutcher seems quite interested about it and seems to have some knowledge about it past the most standard "i've heard it's digital money" thing.

Rappers like Snopp Dogg and 50 Cent have claimed to own some.

And then we've had other clueless celebrities tricked into advertising ICO scams like Floyd Mayweather or Kate Perry.

Yes Akoin token presented by AKON has been trending for couple of weeks now and we can only hope that more celebrities have intentions of making cryptocurrency known to the universe.

Lets all hope for the success of every altcoin as we eliminate every scam tokens.
This thread will really be beneficial

Thanks.

Celebraties around the globe might be using bitcoin and other digital currencies, but it is not much known to the outer world. As the market for bitcoin keeps increasing more people too has begun to use bitcoin. One thing specific is that Celebraties usage will easily make common people follow them.

I never buy celebrity and altcoin tokens, which are also called Fiat tokens. For me it is a signal that in addition to the name of these projects there is nothing more to offer. Celebrities can't answer for their actions because they're like prostitutes. Who will pay them that and praise. How can you trust advertising with people like that?

The only celebrities I've seen talking about crypto are guys in the tech or finance industry.  Warren Buffet is heavily against bitcoin which should be expected as he stands to lose a lot of money from its' success.

I did see some celebrities promoting ICO scams though.  They weren't interested in crypto, they just promoted it for the money.  I remember Floyd Mayweather, T.I, Paris Hilton , and Dj Khaled all promoting an ICO this past year.

Good day. Yes I've seen a few celebrities joining crypto recently. Even here in the Philippines and more likely there are some abroad too. Some projects are hiring them for more popularity and to entice more investors for celebrities can create a huge impact on a project. Its healthy for crypto I think. The more people who knows about crypto the more investors will join.

Indeed many world celebrities who know the world of crypto but they are only limited subject to be involved to be able to promote the project and seek personal gain, but not directly into a team or dev who plunge to take care and develop the platform well.  With his name already fame certainly many people who are more interested and believe. This way the project can work.

Crypto world more and more enthusiasts and technological increasingly sophisticated so reasonable when celebrities began to plunge in the world a more profitable crypto.

This is my opinion with what transpired as involvement of big celebrities in endorsing cryptocurrencies. I do think and much believe that many is investing into it, but in silence as taxation and controversy of responsibility will dragged them with any coin and thats the main reason. I know they’re trading and investing like anybody else, but chooses to do it in a dark and close room without any knowledge from media.

I've seen many well known people who support the usage of cryptocurrency and even advertise ICOs. This is good for the specific coin or token or even as a whole. However, I do not trust them advertising an ICO. They are just paid people without any knowledge about what they are advertising. Their advertisement could be just a sugar coating for an incoming scam.

With all due respect but that is completely irrelevant and we could even say that it can be counter productive, lets suppose that one of the most famous stars supported bitcoin and as a result his or her fans bought cryptocurrencies but since those people do not know anything about them they will panic at the first opportunity, do you really want people like that in the market?

But the question is that this project would able to follow its true motive when they do already accumulate support funds or get investors? Chances would be still on 50-50 and just like other projects it do succeed on ico but later on they do already forgot on what they do propose or promised.
Seeing or following coins or projects endorsed by any famous celebrity wont really be ideal.

certainly, this will be the attraction for investors. the crypto must be very serious in their field and have a large allocation so that it cooperates with the celebrities. but sometimes it is also less effective because it will make people began to forget the analysis for investment and choose the figure of celebrities as the figure within the crypto. This is okay because it is also a strategy in marketing.
