Title: BitcoinTalk phishing sites sticky and warning? Post by: BTCgrinders.com on July 03, 2018, 03:26:11 PM There seems to be an exact duplicate of bitcointalk.org out there. I don't want to name the domain, but if it is not affiliated with bitcoin.org or bitcointalk.org, shouldn't there be a warning to users? One of our colleagues almost entered our information on the phishing site.

There has been several phishing links posted even here in the forum.Notice that the real bitcointalk link appears in green when clicked in the forum. Any domain owner can by SSL and add it with their domain to show it's trusted. The best practice is to bookmark the site and make sure you do remember the correct spelling. Also you will need to remember which TLD (.com, .org, .info etc) the domain have. Another practice is to copy the root URL and paste it in a notepad.
