Title: Small time miners, why not mining some EBT's
Post by: slavo on February 11, 2014, 12:04:48 AM
Everything is in the title.

With the actual diff, and before the block halving, you can mine some EBT's at very low diff.

+ fair launch
+ nice pow/pos currency with pos minting (u keep mining with your balance)
+ u decide if it's a real crypto or not by mining, using, and talking about it.

Just sayin'.

I'm obviously on it and will make my best to make it known.

lol. I remember this one.. I mined this a week ago I think. Logo's still shitty. Why didn't they change it?

edit: was there a bounty for that or something?

yes there is one dedicated thread i don't remember where but already a lot of contributions + a lot more to come.

If you mine it, just be active as I am.

You are the value of the currency.

I have more than a few friends living at what is considered poverty level income, frankly the name is insulting. As are half the new coins these days.
6 months ago no one would have even considered making a blasphemous coin. Coins were not made to mock one group or another. Dev's actually put time and effort into development every week or even on a daily basis. None of this premine disappear for a month and come back to x# of bitcoins profit.

EVERY single one of these "mine my coin" threads starts off with "get in while you can it's low difficulty".

When in reality that's a bunch of bullshit. Low difficulty or not (often not) multiple 10-50 MH farms flood every half way decent pool.

An example of several different pools I've mined recently

30MH
10MH
10MH
9MH
6MH
3MH
3MH
3MH

Top 3-5 spots getting about 90% of all the coins mined by the pool.

6 months ago someone with sub 1MH could make a decent profit mining new coins. Not so much the case anymore.

Greed has completely screwed the crypto markets. Coins that should be launched as LTC pairs are now launched as BTC pairs. Leaving almost no room for appreciation. Why? For a quicker buck! Not only for miners but for secondary exchanges. Evidently 0.1% doesn't add quick enough ltc markets.

The community was 10x better 6 months ago. Scammers weren't openly scamming people 24/7. It atleast took a little bit of thought. Coins weren't total shit. Get the point?

No one gives a shit anymore.

Did u watch the actual diff ?

I'm not in the dev team, i'm not rich in ebt. I don't care about the name. Give me chips to pay for my food, i'll use chips instead of euros.

The diff is < 1 for a long time. What i'm saying is small time miners can join in, have a good stake in ebt, then make it grow together; as it is : an open source project.

Why should i promote a coin where i could only mine cents/day when I could mine a bunch of that pow/pos currency and try to promote it as a long term holder.

and btw, if you don't give a shit, why don't you gtfo without saying bullshit...

I am promoting EBT's because the launch was actually fair, the reward is still interesting for small people (yes, like me) and I can find an interest being involved in that project (as i can, making this thread for exemple)

I don't have answers. Only questions.

cheers guys

I will answer your question honestly: I had never heard of EBT until now.

Now... because it doesn't look very profitable to mine, doesn't seem to offer anything innovative at all, and the name isn't very clever.

That said, I might solo mine a bit for shits and giggles, because super low-diff coins are fun (for all of about a day).

profitability at time = now.

remember last year when ltc was 1.5$ ? it wasn't very profitable to mine ^^

No worries slavo, they'll see.

There is a logo competition going on currently and to call this coin "blasphemous" is absolutely absurd.

Someone's a little sensitive.  I don't see anything poking fun at EBT or those who are in need...

Lol :)

in fact i'm actually under the poverty level income in my country, and i'm living with an ebt-like :) I do not know what it is before searching for it after your post in fact ^^

I just saw :

Electronic : like electronic transaction
Benefits : like well... benefits ^^
and transaction : like a currency, transaction and stuff :)

anyway. I'm a small guy in the crypto world. I could acquire a good portion of ebt for cheap, and try to promote it as I can. Devs seems involved and currency isn't bugged.

Holders have to make it works now... Just up to you.

I prefer holding a bunch of them and promote it as I can than stockpiling infinite dogeshit.

Uh... yes it was.

Besides, litecoin was novel, has a solid core dev team, and a strong history behind it now.  Why would a random alt like EBT gain value, exactly?

Title: Re: Small time miners, why not mining some EBT's
Post by: slavo on February 12, 2014, 09:29:15 PM
because we use it  ;D

I try to promote it as I promote diversity in all coins. That kind of launch seems fair as small miners get time to jump in.

Now buy some ebt's. Make a random donation program where u could help people with ebt's I'll give you 10k !

It's all about using stuff.

It exist, it can make a dev team work, at there scale, and we just can use it.

Simple.

And litecoin is not novative, they were just first in.

But I made money with litecoins too, that's cool !

Like Slavo, i trust in EBT, and i opened a mining pool.

i have tested and compiled a lot of Altcoins, and to tell the truth, ebtcoin is part of the rare coin where i had ZERO problem while compiling, setting up the coin.

so... lets support EBT and mine it : http://ebt.poolto.be (http://ebt.poolto.be)

EBT is a great coin. PoS coins are the future.
