Title: BAMT - CGminer "freezes"
Post by: N[e]wBie on February 11, 2014, 10:31:59 AM
Hello, problem with BAMT 1.3, cgminer just stops. It doesn't shut down or hang, and the computer is fine, but it will stop mining and the numbers on the screen will not update. I don't have any idea how I can fix this.  ??? thanks guys!

I have a similar issue. Just started recently too.

So, I tried doing what is suggested in the above thread. We'll see what happens.

Turns out I have been pushing my cards just a tad bit too hard. Reducing the clocks and memory by a hair has shown much better results. Running stably for ~12 hours now.

for me I am running my R9 280x cards @ 1020/1500 settings, I feel like this should be safe :(

should be safe, but do you have enough voltage to pump those clocks?

you should post more specs. A freezing cgminer (but responding OS) is a sign of a a failed gpu (at least on linux). Cannot recover from that except via hardreset. I found it's due to either heavily overloaded psu or simply due too much overclock. 95% of the time it's overclocking, everytime.

My cgminer will freeze with 270x on 1100/1500 but run perfectly stable on 1060/1425
