When i see the dozens of ico's everyday i ask directly a simple question...Is it easy to this degree to make a ico??

Just have your team have 5 people and can set up an ICO project. Currently there are thousands of ICO projects and most of them are scam and want to make money from investors. Initially ICO projects are few because almost all projects are of quality but only in 2018 the number of ICO projects has increased dramatically compared to 2017, so consider your investment in projects ICO

So true, the overflowing count of icos is affecting the overall cryptcurrencies it somehow effecting it by making unnecessary coins that clearly has no purpose but to scam and to gain income from. What I fear the most is that it even affects the popular coins that is currently doing good on the market, and I personally think that our crypto community needs to do something about it.

In the last coming few years ICO's become bigger becaude most of the owner wants to earn more money so they create more ICO. Most of the ICO have same founder or owner or team. We don't know what ICO become successful in the future. Most of ICO failed some of them are successful.

There are many others who are spreading it in altcoin bounties
 Most of these cases are unsucessful
 and many ico scams so many people also lose money
and are losing their investment when the ico does not do there promise.

It's easy to make an ICO.

It's hard to convince people to give money to your ICO. Well, maybe not as hard as it should be...

For those who are in the game since last year, yes, very much easy for them to put up a ICO and promote it as something different. Specially scammers, they just copy someone else idea, hire a dev to look at the code and made necessary adjustments and then claim something unique and investors fall for it. Just look at the reputation threads and you will find plagiarism accusations because someone just copy the whitepaper and again claim that they have written it from scratch. Lol.

Because it's very easy to creat erc20 token and they want eth, money. It's easy to create and advertise, most of them are phishing. You can lose money and personal information for this. Be careful before joining it.

As far as I have read it is pretty simple to create a smart contract and issue your own token. Thus it is also rather simple to start an ICO. But the difficult part is to develop a unique idea, to convince people to invest in your project and to build a solid team for pursuing your vision and goals. It's true that there are a lot of ICOs these days but the share of good ICOs is decreasing and I think further regulations will make it also more difficult to start a ICO. In the longrun the regulations should affect us in a positive way and protect the investors.

I am very careful when joining the ICO because most of the user information can be exposed in the project and if this is a scam project it is more dangerous because they can sell your information to earn more money. I think before taking part you need to evaluate their project and ask questions related to the project as this can give you confidence in big projects.

There are so many guys have more new idea which maybe can improve this crypto world everyday and it's the main reason why there are so many ICO projects created day by day but not all of them are successful :). Some projects are successful but the left are not because so many reasons like dev team is not really good, roadmap, idea or something else is not good :)

Thats true most of them are scam and want to make money, If you want to invest in ICO project you should analyze well and find information about the project you want to invest.

Nope it is not easy to organize and ICO and a project there are so much regulation out there to be finished. There are many ICOs because they some want to earn big and some want to scam others. This is why you need to be careful in choosing ICO to invest with.

ICOs have become the best way to fundraise money for a project these days, even better than gofundme or other methods.  I think because of how easy it is to invest and the ability to remain anonymous while doing so.

Correct what has been posted by the above comment. ER20 is easy to create. And many people use ICO as a tool for profit only. such as ICO scam.
If all ICO is not a scam, surely many people will succeed from ICO, but in fact many people lose from following ICO.

Because anyone can set up an ICO and that's why I think some countries stop their citizens from participating in them as there are too many fake icos this days ...

Because some of them just want to make easy money because after the ico most of them will disappear and you will see all the social medias profile been deleted. This is the exact reason some countries won't allow there citizens to take part in icos

It's easy to set up and must of them are now scam they only want to steal people bitcoin and ethereum and other good project coins. All this icos might have to stop soon. It's a new way of scamming people of their money

ICO is just a form of capital mobilization from many sources. If you have an idea and a professional working team, you can easily implement your ICO project. There are a lot of support groups that make the money for you. The current ICO implementation has become quite easy.

It is easy way to huge profit. Ico has't regulation or authorized capital. It doesn't get you guarantee, protection of losses - nothing. Only reputation of project and team may be criteria for investing to ICO. Be careful.

Yes mate, as days goes by, many of projects are making an ico to gain some funds to raise their peoject which not all of them are trustworthy and legit. We dont have amy choice or action to stop scam icos mate but all we need to do is to avoid them so that others will also did that. Beware!

It is not easy to create ICO. capital money used for making ico project is huge and there are still many ico that failed or scam in this year. ico project is like a competition to prove the best project.

Now that the technology is innovating, ICOs as well are also innovating and progressing each passing days because they want something new in every aspect of technology. I can say that it is totally normal to have dozens of ICO but as the days passes few of the ICOs will succeed.

It's easy to just create an ICO project, but you certainly know that to develop the project is very difficult and it takes sacrifice and hard work. if the team work is not good and solid in marketing the project will not work because it will have many ICOs that fail and become a scam.

The reason why there are so many projects in the market today because they were inspired on the success of Bitcoin and Etherium that's why they are many aspiring ICO's in the market today. But you have to be careful if you're planning to invest in an ICO because not all of them are legit.

You should be blaming the investors who are investing in these new projects without doing any research. If so many people are going to just give their money away than obviously there are going to be new ICOs launched with not much future and which are created just to grab as much money as possible.

Depends what you mean by "make an ico". If the ico project is done only on marketing, then this is an easy task. If the ico project is like producing a product, then it is a difficult task. Therefore, 95% of ico projects are scammers.

I don't think that you should have at least 5 members in your team. You can be alone with no knowledge and you can start your own ICO or token. It is so easy, everything you need is good marketing and nice design. You can psy for good reviews on ICOBench and you will easily collecting a lot of money :).

To make new token this isnt very hard work. Ethereum platform made it even easier. Now many are teaming up consisting five or six members and launching there own coins.

It is difficult to answer the question whether it is good or bad that dozens of new ICO appear daily. My personal opinion is that this is normal. Since the crypto-currency market is still young and it is only gaining momentum, therefore it is obliged to meet the needs of users in all spheres of life. It is bad, of course, when people from selfish goals use the ICO program and purposefully try to deceive people. For such things I hands and with their feet against. And if the project is promising, its idea is thought out from beginning to end and for its implementation it simply does not have enough funds, so it uses ICO, then of course this is normal. There are several reasons why there are many ICO's created and i think there are already thousands of it. One of the reason is because many people saw the opportunity in Cryptocurrency and people would obviously gain benefits and they could earn at least 5-10 times unlike being a regular employee or a small-time businessmen if they enter the crypto industry. There is so many ico's because peoples have many ideas and they want to make profits from it  and some of these people are scamers who wants to steal others hard work .

Most of the ICOs are just scam these days because anybody can create a token without any proper coding knwoledge and few bunch of college kids can gather together put few hundred bucks to design their ICO website (free template works) and make their token in ethereum (free guide on how to do it available) than start promoting their shit as promising ICO.

They will just run away with all collected money, only few ICO which are ran by registered business or quite talented developers get success so you have to figure out which one is worth investing.

To make an ICO is easy, all whan you really need is an ANN on bitcointalk. Of course, to make a successful ICO you need a bit more, but still nothing which is too difficult. A little team and some work - and that's it. Of course, many ICOs are just scams because of that.

Yeah it's very easy to make an ICO, that's why we keep on seeing new ICO being launched everyday, making ICO is easy but to make it successful is very difficult, some people thought that making ICO would make them rich instantly, but in reality most of the ICO is failed and get abandon

Because ico is the best place to raise funds in the market, not bound by any individuals or government of the place of release. So many ico came out in there ico scams. They always seek to take away our capital.

find an experienced team in the field to work on ideas and concepts and define the ideas to create ICO. This is quite easily done so reasonable if much more popping ICO. Crypto provides a large profit to many people and that it saw the potential of being so like to also get profit from this field.

I so understand a lot of ISO because everyone wants to advance their project, and so also the false ISO. They do not bring anything plaintive, only one miserly time spent.

I have read some comments that are inclined to the ICOs that have been created easily to cheat and it is true maybe it's a reason "Why so many ico's??". There are many reasons such as (Need for capital, government limitations, need for international projection, etc.)

All ICOs want to launch the startup and raise money to continue developing their project  but I would like to give my opinion of those ICOs which are new projects that in some cases start from the experience of the same developers. I have been fortunate to participate in genuine ICOs except on two occasions that I joined SCAM projects.

Truly I do not think it is so easy to create an ICO when in addition to creating a project that is useful, of interest to the public and that provides solutions to certain problems.

At least one ICO needs:
As I said before create a compelling, strong project must have an economic projection that shows how viable it can be during its development (Capital, cost, profits, losses).
Experienced work team, Advisors, Participate in the crypto community, Public relations, International projection, etc.
We can already see that it becomes somewhat complex.

It might be easier all proof, so many ICO`s launch every week, they are all after for the money they can get and most important, ICO`s may just be a scam after all.

There is Real ICO and Scam ICO in this year.. is difficult to find real ICO in my opinion.. ICO progress is good last year, and maybe this is chance for scammer to be part of ICO Promotion.. see how about ICO progress, scammer increase year by year..

For now, to find a good ICO is do extra researh and always consider what you decision.. ask some profesional people around here, dont fall into f###ing scammer out there..

Not so easy for serious project, it needs a lot of perseverance, talent and execution to make the goal in reality.
But unfortunately, most of the ICOs doesn't really offer something unique and solves a problem, instead, they are more on imitating what platform exist. It good int the part where there is a competition but it has a disadvantage of a misleading investment a wrong potential start-up.

I believe that there is no sense from these ICO/ they are opened daily and then after six months are closed without collecting money or at all we will not inform either investors or bounty hunters what will happen to their tokens. This is a very sad outcome of 90 % of all ICO

Many of the observers say making ICO is pretty easy especially now that we have Smartcontract ERC20, so they can also make tokens, it's just that many ICOs use only white papers, sites and some teams so you can judge for yourself it's easy to make ICO or not? of course they must have the funds to build the things above.
