The price of BTC, ETH and other altcoins looks a bit low. I need advice with instances if bigger profits can be made before the year ends from BTC?

I think it is still a bear market, so it is difficult to choose good altcoin.
Therefore, I suggest we invest in BTC at present, because BTC is at a very low price in the long run.

Alternative coins now have been very dependent to Bitcoin that is why I really prefer now to invest on Bitcoin. It is hard to invest now on alt coins since we are on a bearish market and it is hard to predict what will happen to them.

The cryptocurrency market has always been extremely volatile in nature and this is not going to change anytime soon. I recommend HODLING your coins and tokens for now since you would most likely be selling at a loss currently and you might gain back your initial investment or maybe even profit if you stay patient for some more time.

If I were you I would not plan to gain a big profit in this year. Your are right that market is on the lows but it does not mean that crypto market will soar unexpectedly because it does not work so. As market is on the lows it gives us a nice opportunity to buy coins but it does not hope that you will get rich in this year. I second this. People should stop expecting to make big money from the market this year. There is no way that we are going to have another bull market after the one that we already have in january. The rest of this year is going to be the year of the bear so people should really ready themselves and strap in because it is about to be a bumpy ride ahead.

This year has indeed been tough. The market was in a dip and the operations were not at all profitable. But then again, the investors were patient, they held on to their coins and make investments believing that the market will recover from the dip. And it is happening, slowly though, but still taking its course.

I'm not sure about make a big amount of money this year with investing funds at altcoin. If you have more money, you can invest in bitcoin and hope a little of profit at the end of year. But, if you only have a small amount of money, you can searching for promising altcoin and invest your money to that altcoin. The most important thing is manage your risk.

There is always hope but I do not think I will reach the level of earning I had back in January any time soon or even this year in fact or any time soon because I lost too much like 98% of the value of my portfolio and also I am earning much less from bounty jobs as most fo the tokens earned or projects out there either do not pay out or the tokens are useless because they do not reach exchanges. So my income being less and my portfolio at it's lowest point means I would have to go up x 25 from here to get back to January heights which is almost impossible.

There is a lot of ways to earn profits you can start doing done some research to find some good one amd do some short term and dod a lot focus on trading so you can gain a lot of profits in the run and gain a lot from this year

It's almost impossible to create a big profit from the bitcoin until the end of this year. you can discover it in altcoin. In fact, the bitcoin has less volatility and the price is getting a jump and then dump a little bitcoin. I have participated in some successful icos which have given me more than 5x from my initial investment and it's impossible to earn this money from bitcoin.

Yes, I have many hopes in this crypto year. With the low price of many coins in the current time, I think you and everyone can buy something for holding in long term for investing. It maybe make you a lot of profits and that is a huge present.  

It's still a bear market hence it might be difficult to get hold of some good altcoins unless you are 100% sure what you are getting into. I would say that we need to watch the steps and continue to hold the investment we have while the market is still bleeding.

This year does look bad for crypto. BTC with a fantastic price at the end of 2017 but began to plummet in early 2018 until now.

This is one of those questions when no one will answer. But in my experience, in the altcoins shouldn't invest more than 30-40% of the portfolio. Obviously people are waiting obsessed for the price increase and yes ofcourse had possible to make profits in this year in altcoins.
I advice do not lose your hope the situation bring back normal either not this year maybe next year do not give up because people giving up aren't getting win.

I think that there is still some hope that we will make a bigger profit from altcoins but this is just hope. I think that we need to invest in btc and ether for the long-term hold and maybe later we will get them

I don't think the market will recover this year. I think we need another year for the new pump. I hope I'm wrong and it will happen much earlier, but there is no demand for purchase in the market.

Granted the market has less liquidity at the moment, there is still tons of volatility. Make trades based on price action and volume. Decide to short or long, and preferably do it with leverage. Do all this correctly and the bear market does not matter one bit.

The problem is, if you invest the biggest capital you can invest, there's no way that you won't, at some point in time, panic when the prices goes because you know well you're losing a lot of money as well. And I think if you want bigger profit, then you can probably consider doing day trading, which is a lot more riskier.

All coins are dropped in this time. With the big trust, the only ways to do right now is still holding my all coins in my wallets and waiting for the next better market. In my opinion, the best way to make bigger profits is buying the coins right now because they are affordable enough. But, choose the coins that have great potential  and keep it. I think there is still hope with altcoins but only if you trade with them on a daily basis, if something is true is that they keep being volatile so you can take advantage of that.

Indeed unfortunate but the solution at situations as such is being patient. The cryptocurrency world is stand on hope, if we have hope then we have everything. But only hoping does not work, we should do hardwork and smartwork with it. This year is not good for investors and as well as for altcoins holder, but that doesn't mean this year market will not pump. We should trust this market and keep faith in it.

BTC is climbing up so I think by the end of the year we can make profit from it, not much but enough, depending on the amount we invested. It won't be a big surge in price but all the signs are there that the prices will keep growing and the market will turn bullish soon.

I don't think so, In my own opinion, unless you really have a good business strategy, then of course. At present we are at around 30% from the top of the market, so there is not much reason for the market to be corrected even deeper. Things appear to be gaining ground day by day.  The market has looked very strong lately.  Not sure if this is a fake me out run up or the real deal.  Hoping for the best to hit us by the end of 2018. 

This year for crypto currency is one of the most difficult. From the beginning of the year to the present day, we have practically no profit from the use of the crypto currency. In our purses, coins and tokens fell in price by 70-80 percent. We are still waiting for the last quarter of this year. At this time, crypto-alaite usually rises after bitcoin and therefore there is still hope that this year will also be. Although, there is no certainty that it will rise sharply in price.

Maybe it's not good for everyone, but I think the market needs correction for balance. But volatility is always formed from our own mindset, and if we look at the positive side, I think we are in the lower limit range of many coins. So be patient and start buying.

This will all come down to the ETF decision later in September.  I believe that and only that will dictate the market for the end of 2018.  For some reason people thing ETF is make or break and the news will hype it up and cause wild swings in the market.

Obviously we will not find anything good if we compare it with the price peak. But look a year ago, crypto might still be bigger now. Look for modest gains, 10-30% should be your short-term goals.

This market just looks bearish and bearish again and again. No signs of recovery can be seen even in long term. So just have some patience and hold on to your investment. Altcoins will surely rise but it will take more time and it looks like year 2018 will remain a bad one for altcoins.
