Title: My source merit allowance has been increased, so I need your help.
Post by: Jet Cash on July 05, 2018, 05:02:53 PM
No I don't want you to send me PMs, because I'll probably just delete them, and I don't want you to post links to the threads or posts that are under-merited in your opinion. What I would like you to do is to make some good well reasoned posts, or start useful information threads to help me to use my extra allocation. I won't award anything for TwitBook posts, or posts about bounty or ICOs. Posts about Bitcoin, the crypto-economy, node operation, and other things that are useful for new members of the Bitcoin community would be ideal. "when moon", "what Lambo" and stuff like that is juvenile and not useful.

If you don't think your English is up to it, then get your post cleaned up at Fit to Talk, and then post the cleaned version. You'll still get the credit and the merits for it.

Hi!
About a month ago I started the topic "How I Met My Scammer" (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3839038.msg37383753#msg37383753 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3839038.msg37383753#msg37383753)). A lot of people already shared their story how they became victims of scams with the main purpose preventing that other people fall for similar attacks.
I used to merit nearly every story because in my opinion you have to be courageous to take the step forward, admitt your mistake and let other people learn from your failures.
Unfortunatly I ran out of sMerits, so if you have some spare merits it would be very nice if you could honour some of the stories instead of me :-)

crypto-economy is related to icos and an upcoming major paradigm shift in advertising . ATM I'm preparing material for lectures and workshops at universities to teach people about it.

What is your source of Merit allowance. We have been making quality post over time and it seems we are irrelevant on this forum since no one is willing to give us a merit no matter how our story is good. I feel like even crying sometimes. >:(

Very impressed with the fittotalk forum, looks like it should evolve into a genuine educational resource for members looking to improve their English. Nice one.

Theymos make him the Merit source.

If you go through the posts of the OP, you will automatically understand the difference.

I feel like even crying sometimes. >:(

Do not restrain yourself. Go ahead and cry it has medicinal benefits. (https://www.medicaldaily.com/cry-it-out-6-surprising-health-benefits-shedding-few-tears-333952)

PS: Worrying about gaining merits might overshadow your aspects of gaining knowledge.

Thanks for the kind words, it's always nice to know that some of the things you do are appreciated by some of the community. As a Hero member, gaining merit doesn't give me any extra advantages, as the benefits for Legendaries are much the same. But promotion is always good as recognition for one's efforts.

What is more important for me is trying to groom some of the boards so that they can be used as information exchanges and for discussion about the new government pseudo-cryptos when they arrive. You guys can help me with this by keeping threads about the crypto-underworld in the alts and bounty sections. There will be a lot of new members joining to find out about the banking changes, and if they see a load of threads about questionable coins and programmes, then they will go elsewhere. These changes are going to be so important for Bitcoin and anybody that needs a money system ( I guess that is everybody ), that we need to understand them as they are announced.

Another way you can help is to continue to make Bitcoin Talk an international forum. The globalist banking elite are now super-national, and the only way we can defend ourselves is if members from all countries work together to keep our independence. The international language of banking finance is English, and the massive numbers of derivatives and other banking instrument that are traded through the City of London, makes it the primary financial centre of the world, and it has become almost a country in its own right. In order to understand the dramatic changes that are happening at the moment, you will need to understand English, and Bitcoin Talk can help you with this by helping you to understand the financial jargon. For example, words like 'backwardation' have specific meaning in financial trading.

always say that the best way of learning "how to trade" is to start doing it yourself. you won't learn anything by following others, reading stuff online and doing nothing. you have to get your hands dirty.
one of the good things about cryptocurrency market is that the exchanges allow you to start trading with a small amount. there are even exchanges out there that allow orders as small as 0.00001000BTC which is about 6 US cents! you can invest about $10 and start your trading journey and gain experience.

so why NOW is the best time?

it is the best time because prices are falling and there isn't any pumps going on in the altcoin market. for instance if you have started trading last year, if you closed your eye and chose an altcoin to invest in then no matter what you chose it would have gone up and you would have made profit. but that doesn't make you an expert. instead it gives you a false sense of being an expert which will be more harmful in the long run when the  dumps come (you can see how many people are currently crying about it on bitcointalk and telling everyone how they should have "patience" which is a big mistake).

BUT if you start now, you have to make good decisions otherwise you lose money. so you learn the most important lesson and that is decision making for example in choosing the right entry point and the right exit point.
and if you make the wrong mistake there is no safety net (pump) to cover your ass. which is why you will be forced to learn. and that can help you in the long run.

and know this: even in this dropping market you can still make profit.

Sorry, JC, the user you merited just copy-pasted from https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4614251.0 and he also copied/pasted it again in another board: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4615931.msg41678114#msg41678114

He's all he does: to copy/paste the same all over the forum, to not really engage with anyone... I don't even think he creates the threads by himself, to be honest...

EDIT: In addition, he has already PM members (Vod) begging for merits. Check out his trust...

 ???

Whoops!

Maybe I need to delegate my awarding. In fact, that gives me an idea, and I'll post it in Meta.

Sorry, man, Just check out his trust, he even sent a PM to Vod begging for merits. This guy should be banned.
Really sorry here,  :(

Waiting for your post in meta then. Something positive might come from that.
