Title: BTC.com scamming me of my legitimate bitcoins - Any Suggestions
Post by: kubernetes on July 06, 2018, 01:48:37 PM
So , I started using the BTC.com wallet a while back .What I have noticed is they strangely allow deposits but block withdrawals without explicit notice ,also unable to open web wallet since for some reason they chose to block my IP .

Weird still my thoughts ,if they are planning to exit scam or something worse , that's what makes me tremble. My investments are my life's hard earnings . I work as a Dev and as a crypto-investor occasionally

So now I want to sell my bitcoins will they offer to pay my losses with me intending to have sold my cryptos at an earlier date when it costed higher ,yet they were blocked , service was halted without prior notification and absolutely meaninglessly , is that reasonable .

I leave it to the community - No response since months , error says - Cosigning disabled ........

Support has stopped answering queries and I am using Google data saver proxy to access the web wallet since they blocked my IP through which I usually access the web wallet .

Have I been scammed by BTC.com ?

Ideas are appreciated

That's a lesson to learn- you can't really force them to return you anything as the funds weren't yours.
Once you put your money in a wallet that is being controlled by a 3rd party(it means that a 3rd party owns the private key to access your coins, or you own the coins but a 3rd party have an access to your private key), it totally means that you don't really own the bitcoins.

I really hope that it wasn't a large amount of money and it might be a lesson that we should only use open source wallets in the future, even if we are talking about small amounts, because if we give the access to the wallet to a 3rd party we can't be surprised if we find out that we lost our funds.

it could be, the main indication is when you want to sell bitcoin at an earlier date when the price is still expensive, but blocked them. maybe they want to take a big profit by blocking it. but whether your balance is intact or has been reduced during its web blocked by them?

Is this a question, is this what you want?
If this is the way you're communicating to them no wonder you're not solving your issue.

Cosigning is disabled for my wallet?
Our system has decided not to cosign a transaction because of suspicious account activity.

Have you asked them why they've flagged your account?
What was the response? If any?

If support has "stopped" answering then it means they did communicate with you.
Unless you told us what support has told you.. we don't have a crystal ball to know what's happening there.

Please move the topic to Scam Accusations (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0) , you might get better feedback than in this section.
