I have been reading post and news that the Some people are saying that Bitcoin will not achieve its price as it was last years and some are saying that it will restore its previous glory this year.

What do you think in this matter?

Feel free to answer.

There were many posts about this. It's hard for me to predict what will happen with BTC and what will be price. There are many people here that can do it better than me. I can only tell that BTC don't need to restore anything. It's first by market cap. And 2017. was year when BTC passed 1k $ for the first time. And now in 2018 it is 6,5 k.

We have seen Bitcoin rise over the years to its current price and its recovered every time to become stronger than it was before. Will we see a recovery over the next couple of months? who knows, but I can say that we are very likely to reach $20,000 again. It might not be this year it could be next month but bitcoin have higher possibility to that will get there again.

It would be difficult to guess the price of bitcoin because the increase in bitcoin value is only influenced by demand in the market. But I think the bitcoin fluctuation is a natural thing, bitcoin value will rise again even if only slowly.

The topic and the content were quite contradictory though, for the topic my position would have been, has bitcoin lost its place in the market in the first place for it to start struggling about restoration because its when one lost something that you begin to look for it which is not the case here.

For the price, I think people are entitle to their opinion on the direction they feel price will be towards the end of the year. The only thing to do is to wait as everything depends on which forces will work towards their own objective as that is what will matter after all and not expression of opinions that we always see.

There are also some predictions saying that it will gonna hit the highest price of bitcoin last year at the end of this year. We just have to believe bitcoin will still gonna restore it's place in the market no matter what or when.

a lot of news like that. but also a lot of fake news that wants to lower the bitcoin price. but I'm sure the year-end bitcoin will rise again like last year. maybe currently the bitcoin price goes down but look at the end of the year.

Nobody really knows. There may be a sudden interest again or pump/manipulation that will increase demand, or people will give up on it and it will slowly lose value. One thing for sure, it will not die a sudden death. It is the main cryptocurrency. I think it is being used to buy other more advanced and more promising altcoins.

If one day, a coin took the lead from bitcoin, it all depends on how much the holders believe in bitcoin, because they may dump their BTC for the new leader. I root for privacy cryptos, especially the ones that integrate Tor into the wallet to protect the identity of users. When regulations are enforced and the public had enough, they will flock towards privacy oriented cryptos.

I think it could be bitcoin can return the market, especially if bitcoin is a lot of demand to bitcoin itself that can blindly explode a market with this bitcoin.

All is still a possibility, it is still in July and to reach the end of the year bitcoin is still likely to rise higher. I believe bitcoin will increase and therefore I still hold it.

Bitcoin price will increase again but after a long time of consolidation but steadily in my opinion and not like the previous year when the price bubbled fast :-\

Where there is speculation the market moves in a circle there.  So after every rise there is a  fall and this universal truth.  
Bitcoin is a king in crypto market.  And till date there has no coin created which can compete bitcoin.  For the next many years no one will be able to defeat bitcoin for taking it's seat.

bitcoin has never lost its place on the market to want to restore it now! it is the same place it has always been... on top as the same scarce decentralized currency that everyone wants to have more of.

as for its "glory", nothing has changed. it is just your views that have changed because price is not constantly rising now. so you are surprised now to wake up each morning and see price is still $6k instead of being $7k, $8k, ... every day!

I think the price of bitcoin can soar like 2017, even higher than in the previous year.
the decline (bearish) of the small currency market (cryptocurrency) small is over. But there are still many who believe Bitcoin as the best digital currency investment place.

Nothing can keep going up so everything that goes should fall down and same happen to every tradable assets including bitcoin but this is temporary for different reasons and market can recover sooner or longer than expected.

We shouldn't forget about massive dumps and recovering of bitcoin price in past.

I don’t think Bitcoin ever had lost its place in the market because it had been the top crypto coin ever since. However its price now is being compared to the high price last year and people are asking if its the end of Bitcoin. People need to know that if there is a bearish trend there is always the opposite, and it can’t keep getting higher too.

Now for bitcoin a rather difficult period. We see that he has lost a little in his popularity, but the situation can still change for the better. However, the longer bitcoin stumbles at such a low price for it, the harder it will be to recover. Therefore, the next few months will play a significant role for him.

There is always an increase decline curve to a product.If Bitcoin is steady and low today,it would certainly go up and grow stronger.Though it may not bubble up the way it went last year

Come on now. Like many of us here we really hope for the bitcoin to make a return. The bitcoin's value moves in a vey slow sine wave or a sawtooth wave; it has its dips, but it'll slowly but surely rise up again, and it repeats the cycle.

Bitcoin really made a tremendous ATH within a year which nearly reached 20k dollars. Many predicted but none saw the high price coming. Even though the market is down but still it's growth at 6000 plus IA still tremendous. I believe that Bitcoin will get back to its previous ATH but I don't think it will happen that fast. A crazy growth is coming that is what am sure of but when is what I can't say. Let's just be watching.

Bitcoin as been the top of the list in cryptocurrency it never leave market the only problem is the fall in price. But to the question, Bitcoin will be restored back to the previous high chart ( just like 2017 Dec). just a matter of time.

I think that it will, but it will take some time until we can start seeing a positive recover from bitcoin.
I am confident over it, but we need to understand that there is almost anyone who can control the way that it works and it deploys on the market/exchanges.

Bitcoin as a volatile asset is very hard to be predicted because no one can rightly say what will happened in the bitcoin market in the future and again bitcoin has no fix price so at any point that the level of the demands change it will reflect on the price, bitcoin with what we hard in the previous year will recover and even pass the price it was before the end of last year 2017. But in at that any thing can still happen since it demands that determine the price.

If you mean repeating the results of 2017 then this can not be said. Bitcoin in my opinion is conveniently placed on the market, and the price will rise only in case of increasing demand.

We are not astrologer bro. We cannot predict the future and it is even more tough in this market. But I am hopeful and believe that Bitcoin will achieve the price of the previous year. Soon it will give a bull run and reach there. Let's just hope for the best.

as we know that rising and falling bitcoin prices will largely depend on market demand. and I think if we as bitcoin users want bitcoin prices to rise again, I think the thing to do is continue to promote bitcoin so that bitcoin price levels will increase as bitcoin prices go up very high because of the large number of investors who go in to invest in bitcoin.

Although current bitcoin prices Much lower than the price at the end of 2017, but if you compare the price of Bitcoin in July 2017 and July 2018, You can see that the price of Bitcoin is still the same.

this is not predictable. no one can say if the price will be high again or not. but if the investors will increase their iinvestment thus price can increase. its depend on demand and supply actully.

Bitcoin is recovering even more with every price decrease and proves itself and we can see that it did not break down in time. In my opinion, unless there are edge interventions, we will see a darker green until the end of the year.

We all know that bitcoin is very unpredictable and I think restoring to the price before ranging from the $8K to $10K will be attainable most likely within the coming months until end of Q3. But reaching back to the highest mark last Q4 of 2017 at $20K is very far from reality to happen within the year. Just hoping also that the btc market will flourish more and an increasing demand will soon be felt on the market.

I personally believe that bitcoin may restore it's market price value soon. As long as many people are supporting with bitcoin, this coin will continue to move on and increase it's price value to where it usually was.

Its hard to predict, but the reality is bitcoin will cross its all time high for sure.
It just need time to start moving and keep in mind bitcoin will never run so fast like last year. Now it is more stable then before.

It will recover dude trust me. We are only at the middle of the year, expect the drastically rise up of Bitcoin in November, December this year to January next year, mark my word  8).

It will definitely restore but I don't think it will happen soon because of those bitcoin panic selling and FUDs. I believe this is just a challenge for bitcoin to overcome .

Right.In fact,we can already observed that bitcoin price is starting to recover its price but not as fast like last year.Although i still believe that bitcoin will still restore it's place in the market,but i think it will not happen today,maybe in the last quarter of this year or early quarter next year.So we just have to be patient while waiting for the bull run to start.

bitcoin adoption is more important than anything else and bitcoin is the only one that has real adoption and also works as it should which is why its price is this high and rising still with a strong buy support. that gives it a place in the market that nothing else even comes close and that makes OP's title silly!

I believe that bitcoin will recover and back to it place on the market even it takes some more time. Many are claiming bitcoin and hope they know how to work on the market. Once the supply gets very limited, that time will be the start of recovering. I cannot stop waiting for the good profit from this. No coin can beat bitcoin, it will always be the first.

Actually I don't think if bitcoin has lost its place and for me it's just experienced a major trouble. You can't really say that it fell down because it's standing strong. As of now bitcoin is still number one in crypto system and despite its downfall it has remain its position. Fortunately no other system has a strong foundation like bitcoin yet.

Bitcoin will definitely increase again but it can not grow as strong as the end of 2017. That is not possible when the Crypto market capitalization is now too low and the world economy is in recession. So the whales have suffered a loss at this sensitive time, so the recovery of Bitcoin will also occur slowly.

The popularity of bitcoin can continue to increase its value to continue growing and growing in the future. the more people using bitcoin in the community can boost its growth rate, because everyone who is able to use bitcoin will definitely be competing to get bitcoin, of course it can trigger the supply of bitcoin in the world and its value will be more valuable.

the problem and confusion comes from two things.
first is the fact that some people expect the price to always rise without ever coming down. but in any market prices go up AND down. at least for bitcoin the down part is smaller than the up part so the final result is always an overall rise. and we need these types of corrections to keep the market healthy. it sometimes gets out of hand and goes down a lot more than it should  like now and bitcoin becomes underpriced just like when it goes up a lot in a bubble and becomes overpriced.
second is the fact that there has been a lot of shitcoins that have been attacking bitcoin because they wanted a piece of this market so they created this illusion that they are taking the market from bitcoin whereas in reality they were just getting pumped and dumped.

Well it has never lost it's place, didn't it? I think that bitcoin is more strong than ever and now there are less stupid investors on the market, those are good news to all of us and i am more than confident in the way that it all works now

As we see that bitcoin is the first crypto currency and many people are doing transaction in this currency so i believe that bitcoin and other crypto will still grow inn the market and the price fall we have seen in the bitcoin will restoring and now the price is coming to growth so we can say that the bitcoin place in the market will live once again.

Who knows, maybe we are already on the threshold of a bull market. Only yesterday, the overall level of capitalization of the Crypto currency increased by $ 13 billion. Today, bitcoin, according to CoinMarketCap, is $ 6,832, although yesterday it was more than $ 6,600. This is a good daily rise of bitcoin. I have seen a several post about this topic, we all know things changes very easily in this place so of course there is a possibility for bitcoin it can definitely have its place back in fact I think it never lost its place it just facing a bad time so I hope people will understand this kind of up and down is normal

It is expected for bitcoin to regain its previous position in the market. but with all the alt coin existing in the market it will be tough. New investors will be more keen in investing in the alt coin which is rapidly rising instead of bitcoin which might rise. yet the speculation of some older investor is that bitcoin will rise, regardless as the market is very unpredictable.

A lot of things can be achieved in a matter of time, Bitcoin can go on and reach a higher price than it did last year all it will take is time and people trusting in it.

I am so confuse...when was the time any crypto replace btc in volume or price in the market? I believe crypto in general is a little unpopular right now, many newbies got crashed and burned investing at it's it's ath last December and look at the price now less than 65% thus a lot of them  swearing not to get involved in crypto but then again if we can prove to them (and soon I'm positive we can) that crypto and blockchains are worth investing too then market will boom again and better ecosystem for cryptoworld.

bitcoin does continue to fall to date and has not shown any significant increase. but I still believe when bitcoin will come back down again, then at the end of the year the price will go up.

We do believe bitcoins to be the number one in the market even with all the hurdles it is currently facing. I am not surprised tosee one more user waiting for the end of year assuming that bitcoin will raise massively like it did last year I mean the end of 2017 and even I am hoping for the same bull run let's hope for the best and let's have faith in bitcoin.

So I take that these "some" people are implying that the glory of Bitcoin is based on its price? This is a wrong perception about Bitcoin and could affect someones point of view about the entire network. How come that a glory about a coin depends on its value? This is illogical and at the same time, idiotic.

Bitcoin is still the dominant coin in the market, has the top market cap, has most trust from the community, the alpha coin of all cryptocurrency. This is the metric for "glory" not the price.

Everyone is free to predict the bitcoin price, and I will be neutral in responding.

I have a mind for those who think bitcoin will not have a price like last year is the problem and negative news in 2018 is too much. The first thing that should be highlighted is a hacked exchange, I guess it is the biggest problem in 2018. As a result everyone who has a lot of money in cryptocurrency or especially in bitcoin will withdraw all their money for fear.

And for those who still have high hopes for bitcoin prices going beyond price in 2017 is, already many experts are predicting bitcoin prices that will reach more than $ 20,000 and some even predict up to $ 50,000, and this is where they believe it.

I think it's too early to predict anything about the bitcoin as there are high hopes this time over bitcoin's bull run which is predicted to be around the last quarter of this year but one thing is for sure that bitcoin performed beyond it's limit last time in terms of value.

Definitely it will go on and will reach towards its older place but experts say further that it will hit higher price than 30k dollar which reflects that it is improving and following its average improvement. As we can see its previous average data it is increasing with the passage of time so do not think more and do not fall in complications just invest in the current favorable market.

Bitcoin isn't just only an investment but it is another form of currency. But since isn't widely used as a currency that's why it is use for trading.
Truly bitcoin is a high gaining profit before as its market trend isn't just like today, price fluctuation and market volatility make it more risky. And it happen that some individuals losses their money for with things.

Bitcoin even not lost its position, then what it has to restore, i think that bitcoin is making its position more and more stronger as compare to other crypto currencies and the reason is because of the increasing interest of the people. To me i think that in near future more and more people will enter in bitcoin world, they will invest their money in bitcoin and therefore they will even make bitcoin more stronger than its previous position.

Bitcoins will be always at the top since it was the first cryptocurrency that has been created for people to use and all the altcoins are just created in order for people to have variety of coins to invest.

But, it is way beyond the place right now. It has insane bitcoin dominance in the market right now and it needs to be really lower than this. I hope the correction comes to lower altcoins so that bitcoin doesn't drop. Eventually the bitcoin dominance will drop but we rather get btc staying up but alts reaching that instead of bitcoin dropping to reach the alts. It kinda really depends on how long bitcoin will stay up, if it stays up a bit more than alts will eventually reach.

In near future, there could be plenty of chances for success for many new altcoins like eth and ltc. It means the dominance by bitcoin in crypto world may get diluted more. I am afraid that may fall below 10% also in coming years as we are coming only one coin with other 1000s of coins. Maybe these calculations of comparisons are right still the dominance and the top positions are no more having any meaning, imho.

it's hard to be able to predict exactly what's going to happen with bitcoin prices in the next few years, it looks like bitcoin will rise back even much higher in the future. because so many people say that bitcoin will be the future, this proves that bitcoin has been trusted by many people. but it seems that for bitcoin prices can be higher than now does not take a short time, of course with a long time and slowly to get even higher.

Do not say that we have no trust on the Bitcoin when its value is down but we are always positive and trusting the Bitcoin as it has proven its all properties to all of us. being first is not the reason why bitcoin is still on top. in history there has been a lot of new things like bitcoin that started as the first but soon they were put aside and were replaced by better things.

the reason why bitcoin is on top and will remain there is because it is working much better than any alternative. it is because bitcoin is the most decentralized and most secure currency that you can hope for. it is because bitcoin is actually used as a currency in many places. and a lot more reasons like these.

as for altcoins they didn't start like this. in fact in early years we only had a handful of them and each of them had a very interesting idea which they were exploring. they were really alternative cryptocurrencies. but nowadays there are 1700+ altcoins in existence and more than 90% of them are useless shitcoins specially the coins with the biggest market caps.
