Title: Scrypt mining hardware Post by: coin5l1 on February 12, 2014, 02:32:35 PM I'm going to hong kong next week, I'm assuming it'd be cheaper to buy a new graphics card out there.
Will all the internal plugs on the graphics cards bought there be the same as if I bought them in England right? I'm planning on buying a r9 280x, or possibly some other radeon card. I've printed this list https://litecoin.info/Mining_hardware_comparison to take with me. I have this motherboard: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8H61MX/ Asus p8h61-mx usb3 for those that don't want to click links. It looks as if it only supports 1 gpu, if this is the case. 1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 1 x PCIe 2.0 x1 1 x PCIe 2.0 x4 Which means it actually can support 3 GPUs if you use an adapter like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/PCI-E-1X-to-16X-Riser-Card-Flexible-Extender-Cable-Cord-Molex-Capacitor-/281257445352 It can support even more with other hacks but they aren't as cheap.
