Title: The theoretical value of bitcoin. We set the price. We make the rules. Thoughts?
Post by: bitcoinsrus on February 12, 2014, 11:13:54 PM
Bitcoin is a genius system that makes it easy to transfer funds.  Everyone knows every transaction so its all recorded.  When btc first came out it was tiny because no one knew what something like this was worth.
Time and time again bitcoin has grown in popularity and numbers.

My question is what is 1 bitcoin worth.  (We set the prices based on amount in circulation, news coverage, world acceptance, etc)
Is 1 bitcoin worth 700 or 1000 or is this growing network worth much more/less.

1 BTC = $750,000 USD

Whatever you buy at under 10k is a GREAT deal...  BTC is LARGELY undervalued...

Well that's the thing...

What's it worth? Hmmm not much really...

How much are people willing to pay for it? Infinity depending on the amount of usage in proportion to the amount in circulation.

It's worth whatever the utility is. Basically the more people that use it the more people are willing to pay for it. It's extremely useful and people will use it more as time goes on.

i'd say its worth about $150k-300k given that the network effect keeps growing and the infastructure is there to support it

people just haven't realized it yet

value is subjective u know  8)
