Title: $800-900 computer component for 15 BTC
Post by: mrb on September 30, 2011, 07:00:04 AM
This is a very unusual offer: just now, I stumbled upon a very high-end computer component on Amazon with a huge pricing error ($125 instead of $800-900 as on Newegg). I am not going to tell what it is except it is a PCIe card and NOT a graphics card (but something that is still common enough that Amazon and Newegg carry dozens/hundreds of different models of this type of device). The item condition is new. There are only 8 in stocks. I am definitely buying one for me, and one to resell.

Send me 1 BTC to get a bit more information, I will reveal the category the item belongs to: sound, network, raid, ssd, or firewire card.
Send me another 14 BTC and I will send you the URL to the item on amazon.com.

Email me or PM me. I will refund you if the pricing error is fixed, say within 5 minutes after the BTC payment receives 1 confirmation. This is a legitimate offer. Check my reputation on bitcoin-otc (see sig).

You are real lucky, but I guess no point for me, only thing I need was PCI-E Graphic cards which I had purchased enough.

this is even more pathetic than the people putting their wallet address to beg for BTC donations. you're asking for 15BTC just to show a link.....

I'm not paying for link displays, but I'm willing to pay for someone to buy one of these for me and ship it to Europe :) Any takers? Will pay in bitcoins.

I think such incidents happened before and the online stores cancel and refund those who were buying these, so it is a risk the buyer has to take.  I also do not see the point of taking advantage of others' mistakes.  Might as well alert them and be a good internet citizen.

Amazon price is now $215.

mrb, if it's really such a great deal, but them all and resell them. But asking people to pay to even find out what kind of component it is? Very lame.

Advice: if you find yourself needing to type "This is a legitimate offer." you should just cancel the message right there.

fuggin retarded, since it would never ever go through at Amazon since they don't use 15yr old Bitcoin coders to write their backend software. ;p

But, out of curiosity are you refering to this? http://dealspl.us/Computer-Components_deals/p_highpoint-rocketraid-2782-pci-e-x16-sas-sata-6gb-s-raid (http://dealspl.us/Computer-Components_deals/p_highpoint-rocketraid-2782-pci-e-x16-sas-sata-6gb-s-raid)

you can't even buy there, it forwards you to Amazon with their partner ID and displays the correct price.

I wanna see it if not...

I google searched "pcie -video" on their shopping tab. Then I narrowed to $100-$150 and only amazon. It was like the third result.

He hasn't cancelled my order yet but hasn't shipped either.

"He"? As in 1 person? Sounds like you, and everyone else that bought, got scammed.
