Title: ARE marijuana Coins good?
Post by: pixelvault on July 09, 2018, 03:56:12 PM
I dont see much development being done on them and if there is any it is released poorly.

Is there a future for these coins or are they riding on real world news only?

As I know there are some cryptocurrencies related to marijuana like THC/CANN/GRMD/GRWI/POT but at the moment I think all cryptocurrencies related to marijuana are really bad, low trading volume, low price and seem like nobody wanna use these cryptocurrencies anymore :). It's really hard to find out any cryptocurrency related to marijuana can reach to $100k in trading volume :)

For you to be sure make some research about that project, look at the website, Whitepaper, roadmap and team. If they have no much development in the said project then may its not good to hodl.

Rodman is wearing a t-shirt that has Potcoin logo on it whom sponsored him with various travels on North Korea and with the latest one Kim-Trump summit.

I'm skeptic with this type of coin and I'd rather trust bitcoin instead of any type of that coin.

To others who are interested of reading about it: Why Dennis Rodman promoted potcoin at a North Korea summit (https://www.theverge.com/2018/6/12/17453080/dennis-rodman-potcoin-bitcoin-donald-trump-kim-jong-un-north-korea)

Lol. A coin as such obviously won't attract much trade because people wouldn't associate with it openly. It will be a minority coin and so few would trade it, this will affect the volume.

You can already answer your own question with just basing out on your current view with these kind of coins which is actually right. There are already lots of Marijuana coins in the market but can you see which one of them do progress out? None, right? with just having this kind of basis or analysis we can already conclude that it wont really be that good.

This is just an another coin to be hyped out but nothing different into other shitcoins in the market. It might pump but sooner or later it would dump to death.

I was thinking the same thing. i guess they are good towards the end of a bull market for a pump and dump but i see no use case at all

Nothing to see in this market  :-\

I don't think anyone who wants to buy marijuana will use one of those specific altcoins like potcoin. Most dark market users will pick monero or dash, with newbies using bitcoin. They are fun for trading i.e pump and dump, but not for real world uses

With the word "marijuana" i don't think it is good to be associated with it. It will promote marijuana and in some countries including ours, marijuana is illegal and if there is an ICO involving marijuana, i doubt if it will succeed.

Things with names like "PotCoin" are never good. Even if Dennis Rodman is wearing their shirt on CNN. It's just not a professional sounding thing where people will put large sums of money in.

Just like what happen on other coins being introduced by celebrities like Mayweather on its centra project. What happened? It do still end up on scamming its investors and now they are facing up lawsuit. This just proves out that no matter how popular is the endorser it cant really change the fact about coins usage or potential specially for long term. You cant trust em.

I dont even see any potential on any coins that do represents something.Just like marijuana coins.

That's why I'm skeptic with this type of coin although it has been advertised by a well known NBA legend still there's no need to get hyped by him.

There are also the same coin that were hyped by different famous people like Floyd Mayweather with another coin but what I remember is it turned out as a scam.

I'll never invest to this coin even if I feel FOMOed.

It is one that has been developed based on the Marijuana in demand. As Marijuana is highly demanding, it might easily gain the attention of common people who require Marijuana for the medical purpose. Some countries already making it legal makes it easily accessible. Depending on the demand it'll grow big.

There are a few marijuana coins out there but none of them seem to be really serious with tackling crypto and blockchain. Most of the existing marijuana coins seem to be run by crack-heads who simply want to make a quick buck from investor money.

I don't think that we need any drugs coins in the crypto ecosystem) This is not very good for the image of all crypto world. Existing projects imho was created just for fun, and don't pretend to be super great projects)

For you to know if the coin is a good one or not, I think it will be very good if you can take time to do a very good research of the coin and study all you need to like read the whitepaper, check the website structure, the spreadsheet, the dev team, the management team and even the community to be sure it is a potential one with very good future.
