Title: Patched & Compiled CgMiner with scrypt-jane support
Post by: ozkraut on February 13, 2014, 06:15:32 AM
Guys,

I have bitten the bullet last week and done this as my rig (BAMT 1.3) was stuck on scrypt alts when I wanted to mine UTC. DId so with reasonable success with my desktops 7870 but: not enough

So off I went downloaded source & patches for CGminer 3.72, The ATI libraries and any updates available for BAMT libraries. For those of you that can' t won't compile your own: you can try this out of iits own separate folder eg if you are on bamt it won't mess with your sgminer. Just make sure you stop / start either in isolation. I dont think running two mining instances is going to work too well.

Works like a charm. 2X R9 280X at 575 MH each which is good for scrypt jane. Anyhow the details are in the belwo post on the UTC forum:

If anybody is feeling generous because of their new found mining capability:

Hi,

do you need BAMT for this?

I'm trying to get it running on Xubuntu 12.04.  Getting the following error:

./cgminer: error while loading shared libraries: libcurl.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

didn;t work for me either - all I got was hardware errors out of my R9 280x cards
