Title: GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 rev 4.0 5 GPU
Post by: Myerss on February 13, 2014, 03:39:46 PM
Canīt get a fifth card connected to the PCIe 1_1 or 1_2 to work. All i get is Kernel panic whenever i try to boot and before that something with VIA loop.
No problem with 4 cards connected to the PCIe 16 lanes. I have presence short on A1-B81 on both PCIe 16_2 and PCIe 4_2.
Doesnīt seem to make any difference if I short A1-B17 on the 1x lanes.

Running with a Sempron 145,  2X Corsair RM1000 w Add2PSU, Xubuntu 13.10 from USB and Powered Risers.

Have the same board. Same revision. Running 6x 280x (gigabyte rev 2 280x)

First time i booted it went well. 6 graphic card in the device manager with 2x with yellow flags is a good sign. From there you need to get modified drivers to get the software to utilized the 2 flagged ones.

Went smooth for me (getting right drivers to work is a HUGE PITA).

Running same CPU and 2x 1200w PSU (too much but w/e).

You don't need presence shorts on this board.

If you don't mind running Windows 7, try my instructions here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=461637.msg5111084#msg5111084
