Title: Receiving Random Micro Payments in Blockchain Account? Hacking Attempt?
Post by: not_sure_105 on February 13, 2014, 08:43:37 PM
Today I received 3 micro payments to my blockchain account.  All within a few hours.  Is this a hacking attempt?  If so what should I do?  They were all payments of .00000001.  I've never given out my address to anyone.

Also I only looked at the email alerts so far.

There have been countless posts about this here at Bitcoin Discussion and on reddit.

No.  You are not being hacked.  Someone is using the blockchain to spam.  You don't have to give anyone your address to receive this spam as your Public wallet is just that.  Public.  It's accessible for anyone to find and then send coin to.
