Cuz they account for like 10% of the market and most of them (localbitcoins etc..) rely on the big exchanges anyway. If you have funds stuck at gox what else can you do? Just buy and sell and try and get as much fake gox bucks as you can in the hope that there may be a slim chance that one day you can withdraw.
