Title: Thank God I am too stupid and naive to recognize risk.

Hopefully it has just allowed me to *score*. ;)  I would have NEVER put this much into BTC had this not occurred.  Good luck everyone.

Stupid and naive but move "this much" into BTC?  :-\

Yes that is naive and stupid. You'd probably enjoy yourself more and have a better chance of a return with a trip to Monaco or Vegas.

I personally think its very clear that btc is going $10k probably $100k

people just haven't realized it yet/can't somehow see the potential

Its stupid, it doesn't matter where its going eventually. Yeah maybe 10 years from now it could reach 10K. What matters is buying in at the best price.
If you bought in at $500 you would get double amount of coins than at $1000. Think about how much extra money that would be when bitcoin hits 10K if you bought double the amount of coins.

I sold my coins at $800's and can now buy them back at a lot cheaper price.

Just don't be too greedy trying to get the ultimate best price, that has screwed me plenty in both bitcoins and the stock market.

It will reach 8 k this year.

It won't do if the price tanks on the whiff of any slightly bad news.

It will be back to 1k in 2 months. Why panic ? 99% of the world doesn't know about Bitcoin. Give it time.

Yeah, but when they do hear about it it's usually negative things - it's crashing or it's a bubble blah blah.

Actually I disagree. Its been in the new loads, and is now a regular topic of conversation around the office. Only one of them has got on board (and he is viewing it as a get rich quick scheme rather than a long term investment). With the rest it is met with a mix of interest, bemusement, confusion. However none of them have expressed any interest in buying in

That's actually very bullish. As long as the media talks about bubbles and crashes we know there's plenty of room to grow and we haven't seen the top yet. People who can't see this as an amazing buying opportunity will be the ones panic buying when we're back at 1k+ in a full blown bull market.

I stopped buying coins long ago. No need to compromise my investment by putting more money into something so risky. I just want more merchant adoption now.
