Title: My System seems to have spikes Post by: Snoz on February 14, 2014, 08:13:33 AM My system while mining seems good (high 800's Kh/s) except that about every 30 seconds the screen flashes and I notice that my core clock and memory clock drops from 920/1500 to 300/150, I took screen shots of the spikes while mining and also when it does spike.
Could anyone please take a look and help me problem solve this?, I have not tried changing the voltage. http://gpuz.techpowerup.com/14/02/14/g5c.png http://gpuz.techpowerup.com/14/02/14/2nh.png My system is: Gigabyte X58a-UD3R Bios version FH Intel Core i7 Extreme 980X CPU 12 gig Corsair XM3 DDR3 memory Asus DirectCU II OC video card Themaltake Toughpower Gold 750w PSU My Cgminer.conf is . Thanks for the reply. Snoz Title: Re: My Sysytem seems to have spikes Post by: ineedit on February 14, 2014, 10:39:50 AM OK, I just checked and it is not selected. Thanks for the reply. Snoz Something you are running is trying to change the clocks, you have going to have to go through a process of elimination to get to the solution or use a different toolset/BIOS combination. I had a similar situation with Gigabyte cards and the catalyst driver set that I could only cure by using MSI Afterburner and getting it to force a constant voltage. In the end I swapped the BIOS for one with a set voltage and removed the problem that way.
