Title: Help: My account has been hacked
Post by: simbi0ntsss on July 12, 2018, 12:05:54 PM
Hello,
Today, about 3 hours ago, I got two e-mails from bitcointalk, informing me about my password has been changed and my email address as well  (from *@gmail.com to *@yopmail.com).
I followed by the link provided in e-mail and locked my account.

And now I really need to know, is there any way to retrieve my account back or it's gone for real?

Thanks for answers, anyway

This question has been posted a lot lately, I would recommend you read some of the other posts first before posting your own to cut down on the duplicate posts in the board.

Anyway, see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0). You need to sign a message with a bitcoin address you've used in a post from that account to prove you own it. And that post needs to be unedited. If you didn't, I don't think there's any way for you to get your account back.

In the future, post your address in this thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996318.0) just to be prepared.

What's with all the people getting their accounts hacked lately? Protect your passwords y'all! Don't download suspicious shit!
