Which should I invest into bitcoin or altcoin

I do not agree with this statement. Bitcoin is the first crypto currency and it is the base of this market. Bitcoin has proved itself through its operation and it is considered as the most reliable and profitable coin in this market. Many coins give more profit at the beginning but they cannot continue to do so but bitcoin is not like that.

Bitcoin is the most successful crypto currency, whereas altcoins are also having good potentials now a day. So, I would rather suggest to go for both the coins. It would be less risky to do and it may have good outcomes further.

It's better to invest in the both currency. It can be like 60% on bitcoin and other percentage on altcoins

Altcoins are more volatile than Bitcoin. You may earn more in growth cycle and loose more when market crashing. BTC is just more stable than altcoins.

Just my advice from me, if you're looking for long term it seems like bitcoin is the best choice or ethereum. For altcoin usually used for day traders, for example When we invest on token that the price is very low $ 0.01- $ 0.02 usually we will be faster make a profit. Sorry for my bad english and thanks!

I agree that sometimes altcoins give more profit than bitcoin, but if we talk about long-term investments that bitcoin is the best.

It does give a lot more profit since the price of alt coins are more volatile than that of bitcoin. But the risk associated with investing on altcoin is way much higher than that of investing on bitcoin. The price volatility causes sudden sky rocketing of the price and some lucky people do make fortune out of it. But most of the coins that have sudden rise are actually scam coin which eventually dies. Holding those coins for long term will actually give you nothing.

I urge you to invest first with bitcoin only and if you are investing larger amount of money on it, do it today while the price isn't so expensive unlike before. And if you don't want to see it skyrocketing and you don't hold any of it, you're wasting time. Well it do depends. If you think the rate of change in bitcoin is good, then you can invest on it. On the contrary, if the chosen altcoin of yours is good enough in beating the rate change of altcoin in a given period of time, then it is the time you can invest or choose the altcoin that you want. We all know that investing is a risky thing that we might end up losing all we have without gaining anything yet on the other hand, if it goes successful then why not, a good profit is a good winning. Yes it is, because any altcoin that totally has legit and awesome projects are still undervalued, but like all kind of investment, high profit high risk. You have to be really careful on what altcoin are you investing, do deep research on their projects and their team, and dig anything on their projects. Sometimes it is trued and sometimes it is not. But I really love to invest and trade with altcoins. Because bitcoin is the only one option but if you choose altcoin then you have more than 100 options to use. Personally, I like to trade altcoin to make bitcoin. You may follow my way.  It's just the same lol, you see the market when bitcoin moving altcoin moves, whether it's pump or dump altcoin will always follow bitcoin, the condition is quite different to back then when altcoin still have a little bit independency toward bitcoin but now, all of them are following bitcoins price movement, nothing more.

At this point, I believe they actually do. Bitcoin has just reached a price point wherein profitability may not come easy for small traders like myself. Even a double profit is now hard to come by with Bitcoin than it was about a year ago. As for altcoins, profit is much more flexible because there are a lot of undervalued coins in the market that can multiply our investment to much greater heights. I think this is the advantage altcoins have over Bitcoin at this time.

The way how market price is going, I started to take bitcoin out of the picture and started to divert my attention to altcoins. A lot of promising coins are now in the market which cost a few but with a better chance to grow in the future. I've been searching what are these possible coins and if I find one or more then I would invest into it hoping for a better returns someday.

Yes, I agree with your statement and I have personal experience with this statement. Actually now you can expect bigger returns in Bitcoin-like  x10 times or x20 times return from your investment. whereas Altcoins can give you returns like this from good potential coin something like i have experience with Neocoin few years back where i got almost x10 times to return from the investment in Neocoin. But yes i also  agree that in today's market conditions there are very less number of coins with good potential.

It depends while risk is also high in altcoins, i have seen some alts loosing multifold in value over short period of time while btc is solid coin and most people think that it has bottomed out and net long term bull target for this year is over $60k for btc, if it really happens, i will be really happy to say the least.

You'd be a very lucky man if you had all those coins in your portfolio. I was less lucky, I missed both the growth of the ethereum last year, and the growth of cappasity and verge last fall. I think Bitcoin is the best option to invest right now. Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency that arrived in the market and still ranks first among all other cryptocurrencies. Right now, the market price of Bitcoin is also increasing slowly.

I will have to agree with this considering the current situation. Profit with Bitcoin is a bit shy now a days due to its high price. At $6000, you will have to wait for the price to reach $12000 to double your investment! Now that does not come easy! Altcoins on the other hand offers a wider range of options that could generate much greater profit compared to BTC. But we still need to be cautious because not all alts are profitable. But personally, I would  focus more on alts and use BTC as a mode of exchange.

I thought it was a mistake. I like altcoin, there are some altcoin that I hold in the long term even though its value is lost more than half. but in every investment speculation I always focus on the bitcoin which in fact is the reference of all the crypto that exists.

I think the alternative coins cant overcome the bitcoins,
because the number one coin in the whole world are the bitcoins because of their huge income and back-up by large number of investors.

I don't think that altcoins will give more profit than bitcoin or vice versa, because I believe that your income/profit will always depend on your trading style. I guess, day trading is more effective in Bitcoin than altcoins due to its potential growth in the market in a short period of time, and for long-term investments I think altcoins is the best for that because you can hoard coins for a very cheap price like Stellar, Ripple and other coins that is below 5$ which may give fortune to our lives.

Yes it does but if you could buy just 1 whole bitcoin you could profit more when bullrun starts than altcoin , altcoin pump only when there is a news and when bitcoin is bullish but when bitcoin a very good chart people will switch there altcoin to bitcoin because bitcoin might go 100% or lets say 40,000$ in just a month than altcoin .

Investing in altcoin i think is better because that is what i do, I normally use altcoin to grow my bitcoin because bitcoin price is already high and i can't afford to buy like 1 btc but buying some altcoin and holing when it grows in the price, i will sell to bitcoin
