Post by: roslinpl on February 14, 2014, 09:53:04 PM
Hi.

I would like to ask you all: what is important for you when thinking about altcoins?

Let me explain:

What I mean is:
example:
-for me when I look at some altcoin I like when it have android wallet.
-Then I check community :) if I see that people write nice things about I am more interested
-Next thing is for me, does it have good developers and marketing
(so I check all official site, and stuff added on it)

And if those are good :) altcoin is interesting for me.

What is important for you?

Betacoin is the best cryptocurrency ever made.

All good points. I'd also like to see some antagonism towards the coin. Shows me that lots of people are skeptical. If everyone agrees on value, its probably already priced in but where there is skepticism, there's opportunity for price discovery

Hmm seems true as we look at bitcoin just for example.

I think this is very good point and I did not realy think about that one deeper.

+1 for you.

Hello rosinpl.

The Main Betacoin Pros are:

-Really fair start with almost month “launch phase” and no premine and absolutely good initial coin parcelling – https://infogr.am/betacoin-difficulty?src=web
-Fast and at the same time reasonable and secure block target time – 4 minute
-Fast and really good scaled network difficulty adjustment parameters – 4 min blocks are really 4 minute blocks and block time intervals in Betacoin network much more stable that Bitcoin
-SHA256 means absolutely hardware compartible
-POW means real decentralisation
-32 mln Betacoin units production and ~0,39%annual after is a really good thing for network in future
-Fast main coin supply – after 6 years the main coin amount will be in circulation, means can be used for real economy needs faster.
-Transaction comments – feature with lots of further implementations and make network more transparent.

Betacoin is the future my friend. Strong community, truly decentrallized, fair lauched.

Already invested a good amount of money in it.

Real Devs

A realistic number of coins

Brings something new (this can be but not limited to technical aspects of the coin)

Hello rosinpl.

-Really fair start with almost month “launch phase” and no premine and absolutely good initial coin parcelling – https://infogr.am/betacoin-difficulty?src=web

Agree, I will add "no premining" too as a good thing for it.

-Fast and at the same time reasonable and secure block target time – 4 minute

Sure. Does make sense :)

-Fast and really good scaled network difficulty adjustment parameters – 4 min blocks are really 4 minute blocks and block time intervals in Betacoin network much more stable that Bitcoin

This is what time will show what was better. :)
But I agree most of it.

-SHA256 means absolutely hardware compartible

I like that point! :)

-POW means real decentralisation

Real decetralisation - I hope it is true :)

-32 mln Betacoin units production and ~0,39%annual after is a really good thing for network in future

Nice!! :) Good job!

-Fast main coin supply – after 6 years the main coin amount will be in circulation, means can be used for real economy needs faster.

Indeed..

-Transaction comments – feature with lots of further implementations and make network more transparent.

Maybe ... :)

I hope Betacoin will get what it is worth and time will show what is better and what is not.

Thanks for your post! It added so much to this thread.
Good luck!

All best to Betacoin!

Yes indeed - if price of that Coin want to be > than few hundred satoshi.

That's hard :) and if someone will invite something much better than Bitcoin :) he will rule :P

You must like Dogecoin :D

You must like Dogecoin :D

Oh yes I do! :) a lot :P it might seems silly :)
Anyway I haven't got any Doges now because I needed money for bills and I will buy some next week.
But anyway I spent so many nights trading Dogecoins :P

Maybe that is why I found FlappyCoin interesting too (It might seems funny for many of you - I know)

I need to say - that I mostly believe in Bitcoin future. And from all of alts I only had Doges, Devs and Flappys :D

This thread show me the way how you look at it. I learn something from all of you, and I hope more of you will reply own though about it.

Cheers

A thriving community is at the top of my list. Secondly is of course, a feature that makes the currency more attractive than Bitcoin in some way.
