Title: Etherium v NXT Post by: jubalix on February 15, 2014, 04:05:47 PM Given the features of NXT, that are out now or able to be seen, or soon to come, what does etherium offer that is better.
NXT is developing a scripting language so it will be "turning complete" as well (aka unlimited number of nand gates). I am opening the floor to anyone who has any views on what else etherium will offer that NXT does not, or visa versa. Title: Re: Etherium v NXT Post by: jabo38 on March 09, 2014, 06:06:24 AM +1, I was wondering the same thing.
Title: Re: Etherium v NXT Post by: dooglus on March 09, 2014, 06:14:38 AM so it will be "turning complete" as well I don't know the answer to your question, but you might be interested to know that the term is Turing complete (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turing_completeness), named after Alan Turing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Turing). Title: Re: Etherium v NXT Post by: sirnoah on March 09, 2014, 08:25:51 AM NXT = features are ALREADY in development, we will SEE them soon this year I hope
Ethereum = in *talk* mode...need to raise how many MILLIONS of dollars?... is Ethereum copying NXT features?... they talk techno terms, why dont they just be like NXT, they talk in plain language where people understand?... Title: Re: Etherium v NXT Post by: Cryptokk on March 10, 2014, 09:25:19 AM Hi,
my feeling is NXT is really far in the dev at the moment and have really lots of people involved. Clearly stronger. BUT, for a new comer it's extremely hard to find exact informations about NXT. What the history, how it's developed, why, what's the next step, what's the stakeholder thing, how work exactly the forge system ? All those basics are hard to find: to much informations, bad sorting, no 'get started' thread for new comers (really need when informations are messing), the answer to your question is somewhere in a 2000+ pages thread. Most peoples will probably give up this because of the doubt, no answer to questions, then go check others coins like etherium. Title: Re: Etherium v NXT Post by: tyz on March 10, 2014, 10:06:57 AM The main difference between both: Ethererum team is talking, talking, talking...Nxt Dev Team is working, working, working 8)

NXT Wiki - wiki.nxtcrypto.org (http://wiki.nxtcrypto.org) NXT's wikipedia.org page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:NXT) - This is a draft the community is working on. If you have any questions, just ask them here or in the main thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345619.0) and someone will answer them. Love it! Title: Re: Etherium v NXT Post by: aggster on March 10, 2014, 11:55:52 AM isn't next premined?
Title: Re: Etherium v NXT Post by: Aditer on March 10, 2014, 11:57:16 AM NXT has unresolved problem with early adopters who have most of coins. The value of NXT is completely unpredictable, you don't know if actual price is fair. The developers of NXT do great work, but it doesn't mean that the value on NXT is also great - if one of early adopter sell all his money the NXT could die...
Title: Re: Etherium v NXT Post by: reRaise on March 10, 2014, 11:57:42 AM NXT is 100% pre mined
Title: Re: Etherium v NXT Post by: eCop on March 10, 2014, 12:02:15 PM if etherum be written in C/C++, it will have some advantages over nxt(more efficient I think)
for the features, it's simillar Title: Re: Etherium v NXT Post by: ShroomsKit_Disgrace on March 10, 2014, 12:03:36 PM isn't next premined? NXT is 100% pre mined Donīt think about NXT just as a coin. NXT is a greater thing. A whole environment for crypto-currency. I think 100% premined is not a problem. Maybe, its initial distribution could be. Anyway, week by week the distribution is getting better and better. Title: Re: Etherium v NXT Post by: eCop on March 10, 2014, 12:07:36 PM the "premined" IS a problem to nxt!
it could have attracted more ppl if without the problem Title: Re: Etherium v NXT Post by: reRaise on March 10, 2014, 05:05:54 PM isn't next premined? Dafuq did i just read Title: Re: Etherium v NXT Post by: aggster on March 10, 2014, 05:49:20 PM I don't like these premined coins like next and ripple, would be ok if they did something like auroracoin and evenly distribute the coins
If somebody made a coin and evenly distributed it across the globe, im pretty sure that coin would be the most successful, nobody would complain about it being a Ponzi scheme or unfair mining Title: Re: Etherium v NXT Post by: markus1000 on March 10, 2014, 05:59:05 PM its not a question of premined or not but a question of innovation. Nxt choose a different path than Bitcoin, so what...
Let the results speak for themselves. Nxt is running and on a whole different architecture than all these other copycoins. The Nxt thread is the most active one in the whole alternate cryptocurrency subforum. ... We will see what Etherium can do, but i prefer it to 99% of the other coins that are coming out right now. Title: Re: Etherium v NXT Post by: allwelder on March 11, 2014, 12:08:27 AM Ethereum is undering designing,Nxt is being implemented.
