Im using bitcoin.com to create my cold storage (paper wallet) I think the receiving address is not a bitcoin public address format. on top of the page in big font it says "Bitcoin Cash (BCH) paper" wallet. and that address is the new "cash address" format that bitcoin cash adopted a while ago (a rip off of Bech32 format that bitcoin uses) although i don't know why it is omitting the Human Readable Part: Code: hrp= bitcoincash unfortunately this is one of many misleading things on bitcoin.com use bitaddress.org if you want to create paper wallets. Wow, this will confuse new user into thinking that bitcoin cash is the real thing. If they paid $6000 for a bitcoin, and receive 1 bitcoincash, they wouldnt even know. Because for newbie, bitcoin.com is the main website for bitcoin. |
