Title: Creative and "cool" ways to store coins?
Post by: Andrej88 on February 15, 2014, 05:52:44 PM
So ive gotten a few bitcoins over the months. and I find storing them on paperwallets to be "booring"
I want something I can show off, like the Casa gold plated bar, as far as I know this is not for sale anymore.

Do you know about any cool or fun ways to store your coins? Which you securely can deposit your coins into, and still have a "collectible" which holds them, much like the bar.

Any suggestions or ideas?

Btw: I already own 4 physical bitcoin coins, but the thing im after is like this, but more like a wallet function.

Take a chip with NFC that has a private key and can sign transactions and embed it in a hunk of clear plastic.

That is a good idea, buddy.

Get creative with a tiny micro SD card.

Brand a QR code onto yourself lol.

There's a few snazzy looking aluminium cards people are selling over on the marketplace.

You could make a QR code tatoo in invisible ink - no one will know you even have it until you flsh UV light over it.

A wood bitcoin wallet is fairly creative.

You could always store your coins in my wallet..
I guess that'd count as somewhat creative.

Shave it into your pubes.

Seriously though I'd worry about finding a safe way to store them as opposed to a cool way.

Mint a brass token and hide the private key under a tamper resistant hologram sticker on the back.

Engrave your private key on a real key, put it on your keychain and tell everyone you can use this key to access your coins.

Alternately, engrave your private key on your privates, and tell everyone your pee pee is the key you use to access your coins.  ;)

Write down your private key on a piece of paper, put the paper into a little capsule, surgically embed the capsule into your left butt cheek.

Build a safe and keep your bitcoins on paperwallet there. It is exciting and cool at the same time. Even better put it in a box and bury it somewhere and make a treasure map. That is more then interesting.

Write your private key on a piece of paper, put it in your closet and hire a mercenary to stand guard and kill anyone who tries to get in.
